I'm afraid it's been so long since I lived in NZ that I can't recall where this gym is.. look in the yellow pages under gymnastics and I'm sure you'll find something :)
you also fail at reading.. this video is _from_ 5 years ago when I had been doing this about 2 weeks. That's why this is called "Very Early" video. Because it was like... ages ago. Now... now I'm much better... look at my other videos and upcoming ones for current skills.

ohk thanks anyway man, does it help to do like gymnastics or not. i am basically just starting but i really getting into it and i want to learn how to do more moves.
It depends on if you want to do flips and more "Freerunning" style moves rather than pure Parkour. If you want to do freerunning then gymnastics helps for sure. :)
Not really... I find I sometimes need a couple more days that I would have when younger after a particularly hard day out.. but generally I think I'm probgably fitter now than I ever was when I was 20ish.
dude I'm about to return to NewZealand...Where is this place in the video? The wholw scene is so underground I need to find dome like minded people...
When I was there they used to meet every sunday at 11am at Aotea Square in Auckland. But that might have changed. There is an NZ parkour forums (I can't post URLs in a youtube comment) but do a search for "new zealand parkour forums" in google. It's like one of the top hits.
Kai. I met you once at Aotea the first time I went, back in January so you wont remember me. Just wondering where you are now, gonna come back to Aotea trainings? They've gotten pretty good.
Actually we built them to be the exact height and width of my car at the time so we could practice for monkeying and konging it. Tho the pile we use at vital now is much higher/wider. That pile was quite a while back now.
australian parkour is better

this is more free funning cos of the flips and things parkour is about fluidity in ur movement
joshsta007 4 years ago
weird.. you would think that after 5 years of freerunning and parkour I would know that... oh wait.. I do :P
If you had bothered to read the "about" box... "This is the earliest footage there is of me practising freerunning in the gym".
It's called Early Parkour vid because the footage is taken of me practising freerunning at a Parkour class in Auckland.
But thanks for playing.

Shaftthuggin911 3 years ago
As far as I know the local PK people used to meet every sunday at about 10 or 11am in aotea square.. it's a good basic training point.
This is.. I actually can't remember where it is... but the NZ PK guys would know.

you also say hilarity to be had at terrible technique care to elaborate???
hg81291 4 years ago
my technique in this video is truely embarassing. Look at my landings. Heavy and clunky. You can almost _hear_ my spine compressing. :P
