  • @redrat76 Blz redrat76, hj passei umas horas ja lendo sobre isso. Tem bastante material. Vou ler tudo e tentar. Quanto ao retail, tranquilo pois ja tenho o snow original. Valeu cara, abrass

  • Cara, to vendo que vc é brasileiro... Eu to querendo muito fazer um desses pra mim... Seria possível me dar umas dicas? Posso passar meu e-mail? Agradeceria muito se puder compartilhar...

    Abrass

  • Hey i have a DX58SO and I put lion on a bootable USB with Chameleon RC5 and Extra Lion but when I put the USB in, my BIOS wont recognize the drive actually being inserted (It wont be populated in the drive list). I have boot from USB on and when insert a different USB it will recognize that one. One more thing, when I put the Lion USB into a different computer it WILL recognize the drive and will boot into Chameleon. Any response would be extremely helpful and you would gain a subscriber. Thanks

  • You need to format GUID partition and to make some modifications and to insert “the extra” folder and Chameleon.

Yes, pen drive will work on other machines.

If you have installed the Snow you can create a 10GB partition and to restore on it. Install Chameleon and the extra folder. Install Chameleon on the partition where you are installing the Lion then you can delete the boot partition.

There are many tutorials how to do this. Google it or YouTube it .

  • @redrat76 Actually I got a secondary boot to force boot from USB, but I cant seem to get to the Lion Installation Screen, It hangs with a kernal panic and gives me the "System Uptime in nano seconds." What was the BIOS Configuration you used for the Installation? I got a better (preferrable) error when I disabled all but 1 core and hyper threading. My specs:

    Mobo: DX58SO

    CPU: i7 920

    GPU: NVIDIA GTX 460

    RAM: 8 GB

  • @55shfiftyfive55 Is not necessary disable Cores or HT. Always use the last BIOS for your Mobo.

  • @redrat76 Yeah I realized that, but I figured I'd turn it off just to be safe

  • @ccccyeeee This board has native support. Mac Pro uses this card.

  • hey what are you using for you video kext

  • Clean Install. it's fully functional.

  • @redrat76 how did u do fresh intsall i cant boot with iboot 3.1.1 without having an existing hackintosh (snow leopard)

  • Do you need a Mac or Hack + a pen drive to restore Lion. It can be done with boot cd as well. Google it.

  • @Xalkfamily it cant be done with iboot i tested it!

  • IBoot does not work with Lion. You need a boot cd compatible with Lion.

I have not used boot cd, I used pen drive.
