Does anyone know why Amtrak can't run these trains up to Boston? I would love to be able to take a non-stop train to FL from CT without having to transfer at New York!
Much farther up the platform. That platform is very long, and i was about 700 feet or more from where the passengers were entering/exiting. up near the baggage car.
Probably meant that because the train is too long and the station is short, one part of the train moves in, then it moves a little to let the other cars pick up and drop.
I remember those days. and the silver star would split up in GA somewere and when we would get to orlando the train would be six cars long with no diner just a longe that was half lounge and half diner anyone remember that?
