Whatever one's opinion on Dani Filth, the good thing is: The dude is ALWAYS in progress, always evolving, he's one of, if not the most powerful vocalists not to mention lyricist ever to have lived. No one in their right mind could speak against that.

He's never been "the best live vocalist ever", but he used to be pretty impressive. However, the years 2005-2007 were dreadful (this one included - even though it seems to be entirely post-dubbed!)

He's getting it back now, though, albeit with a different technique and sound.

@SolaufeinSA Eeh ... time to watch some more live shows if you think this one is amazing (starting with the 2001 one at Nottingham Rock City).

His voice is just awful here anyway, but if you just watch the video again and keep in mind that a lot (but not all) of the vocals have been dubbed over, it should become quite obvious. Maybe watch the entire concert with that in mind - sometimes his mouth clearly doesn't even synch up, and on one occasion he doesn't even have the mic to his mouth! XD

@ska2808 i have seen this concert multiple times actually and haven't noticed this. that again i haven't been looking. sometimes though the discrepancy is due to poor video quality or the sound file and video files not matching up perfectly.

@SolaufeinSA It can be, but I think in this case it really is just a case of post-dubbing. It's not unusual, a lot of bands do it for their DVDs, since it would cost a fortune just to throw it away if there were any mistakes and film another concert. Since Dani's voice was really bad at this time (see Download and Rock Am Ring 06), he most likely went into a studio afterwards and just dubbed over some of the weak bits (mostly the high shrieks).

It's very clear indeed to the trained ear/eye. It's also not uncommon - I've spoken to and seen interviews of many bands where they claim that some touch-ups are necessary for live DVDs. Bands make mistakes, and especially vocalists can just have bad days (especially when your voice is already worn out like Dani's was here), so it's hardly surprising.
