The difference in the toys would be that Soundwave is blue and has a clear door and holds one tape with the door being flush with the compartment. Whereas Soundblaster is black, has a red door, and it's been retooled to hold two tapes. His door is basically the size of a tape Transformer so it sticks out further and it's hinged in a different place. There's a TRU reissue Soundwave that's a Soundblaster repaint as well.

On the toy, the colour was different and also the cassette bay was expanded.

(The original could only take one tape cassette, but soundblaster could take two.)

A recent TRU reissue that came with both Laserbeak and Ravage, had the original colours, but with the cassette bay of Soundblaster.

what you need to know is that blaster was called broadcast in japan, and when he was rebuilt he was known as twincast.

Soundwave was rebuilt as Soundblaster, completely unrelated to blaster.

Yea, but the dinobots nearly destroyed their base when they were first activated, were easily decieved by Megatron to betray the autobots, and have to be bribed to do half of what they do for the autobots.

Not to mention Wheeljack's inventions work about half the time. Take a look at what happened in season 2 when he created that frankenbot and tried transfering Spike's mind into it while the docs worked on his body.

Wheeljack is cool, yea. But shit compared to Soundwave.

No they are not US originated. You see, the Japeneese created them, but the US helped bring the charactors we know to life. From what I understand, In Japan, when they made the toys, there was no show based off of them. They were not even called Transformers. Some of them didnt even have names. Then hasbro and or takara saw this Japan toyline as a magnifecint idea to make into our very own Transformers. Half the cartoons you watch are Japeneese originated. Most anime and more.

Optimus's multiple deaths could have been fixed if thats the case! Optimus gets bad wounds in the movie, but dies. Here, soundwave dies, his renard bird puts him back together, and he lives. Soundblaster is just a fraction of how much cooler Soundwave was. How dare Japanese people kill the most loyal Transformer ever.
