I always knew Jo had a soft spot for people, even though she acted like she hated them. If I remember correctly, she became nicer as the show progressed.

I agree. In the final season, she was nice enough to ask Blair to be maid of honer at her wedding. And Blair, in turn was nice enough to say yes. Now that is a true friendship made in heaven!

It can be a strange but real addiction to be attached to a creep like that. It can be easy for those on the outside to judge the person with the obsession as an idiot, the same way one can judge a drug or gambling addict.

What is very scary is nobody is immune to this. Anyone can get caught in an abusive relationship and find themselves making excuse after excuse. Blair is one of the lucky ones to get out before any significant damage was done.

I'm a survivor myself but with lasting damage.

The dynamic between Jo and Blair as well as all the girls on this show is so rare on teen-oriented shows. Normally these days you see girls hating each other or competing over some stupid guy! And the girls on this show were real and had meat on their bones whereas the crappy shows like "90210" the girls are all skin and bones. This show needs more love.

This is what I liked about Seasons 2 and onward. The episodes were more poignant like the part here at the end where Blair has to decide whether or not to talk to the guy. Even though she decides to hang up the phone, you can still see the dilemna on her face.

I don't understand why the television networks would edit a 1/2 hour show that had no fowl language, nudity of anything. This was a strait laced show compared to everything you see today that's just inappropriate and shitty.
