  • Jamie was my private teacher at MI 1995-96. Very nice guy and an awesome guitarplayer, I learned so much from him! Thanks for the upload.

  • @tazR38 Jamie is a great believer in Instruction. Don't thank me, thank all the wonderful Artists that perform with the Cal Poly Jazz Band. Support Your Live Jazz Band (like Jamie Findlay & Dr. Dave Kopplin do) by attending Live Performances in your Area. Long Live the Original American Art Form, Jazz.

  • Cal Poly Pomona Jazz Band or Cal Poly San Luis Obispo Jazz Band?

  • The California State Polytechnic University has 2 campuses, Pomona (in Orange County, CA between Pasadena) & San Luis Obispo (close to the Central California coast between Morro Bay and Pismo Beach). The Cal Poly Jazz Band featured here is from the Pomona Campus.

  • Anyone know what guitar that is? nice tone..

  • I forgot to say that Great Musicians still need great Instruments to do their best. Heritage and Kevin Ryan make great stuff.

  • @soup2nuts1 Heritage

  • hi its rodrick i like this video

  • @dsdood123 I'm sorry. There was a porn spam bot just before your Comment and I complained about it to Google. They removed it. Unfortunately, it makes my comment about Porn Spam bots look like it's attacking yours. I appreciate your Comment and your Viewing. If you're in the Orange County, CA area, come see the shows. It's real cheap for what you get (just raised it from 7 bucks to 10 bucks).

  • This is an example of porn spam bots working on YouTube. I am leaving it here temporarily to make a statement. Google actively protects pay accounts but not small ones. There are 4 types I am aware of; 1. sniffers that search for words like wife, girl, etc., then spam, 2. some that look for a threshold of views (like over 2000) then spam, 3. some that sit on hacked or compromised accounts and spam their subscription list or view list, 4. some that search the statistics & data info and then spam.

  • This guy is awesome. Bought a book of some of his arrangements, they are truly amazing. His style has some great embellishments, but I don't think I've ever heard him play an unnecessary note.

  • Not only just the notes, but the technique (and the changes in technique), the style (and the style changes), Jamie is very, very talented and can change to suit his interpretations. His good friend Duck Baker is pretty good at this as well.

  • @NoNoBackdoorJP

I will say this though, I prefer his sound on a jazz box over an acoustic. Either way, he's great. His playing on the Michael Manring vid is pretty top notch.

  • Dude, Great is Great. He could be strumming on a Cheerios box strung with fishing line and would still be fantastic.

  • @NoNoBackdoorJP

Lol, agreed. I was only stating my own preference of his guitar tones, but I agree Jamie could make great music on about anything.

  • Jamie you are way cool....

  • Your stuff is pretty good too.

  • love it! so good

  • Hello and good to see you back again Mister Jazmastamike. Oh, and Yes It Is Good!

  • sheerly beautiful....

it was about eight years ago, i remember jamie used to play me this tune during my private lessons. and now i'm happy to hear the completed version of it.

harmonically, the piece really exudes his own musicality (if you are familiar with his first two albums then you know what i mean.)

  • Jamie Findlay is a remarkable musician who conveys his emotions in his work as good as anyone. I spoke with John Clayton a week before this concert and he rates Jamie with Earl Klugh (do Los Angelenos stick together?) I wish for your technique and interpretation to be comparable one day (Take More Lessons!)
