My grandmother,aunts and mother love Johnny Mathis.Oh did I mention they love his voice and enjoy his music. I grew uu listening to him. Now I am 51 years old man marry with grown children and they like his music.I am no singer but I pray to God that I can look that good when I am in my 70's.

I like very mcuh to hear Johnnny Mattis, but the sound of the instruments is highest than the sound of the singer. And it seems that the sound of The microphone of the singer was off several times.

Yeah I noticed that also but I was in the very first row next to the orchestra..I had my feet resting on the stage, thats how close I was to him so I recieved all of the sound

I attended the 3 concerts JM gave at the Carnegie Hall back in 1997. He was scheduled for 4 but canceled the last one. All of them were soldouts, I taped a 30' footage one night, as soon as I find it I will upload it.

Hi, mssolitaire, thanks for replying, the songs are called Manhã de Carnaval (Carnival Morning)and Brazil (Aquarela do Brasil, meaning Watercolor of Brazil). The latter one was released on the Ultimate Hits Collection Album.

JM had a real big problem with his voice, almost lost it. You will notice when you hear him in the 50 years celebration or even here at YouTube, singing The shadow of your smile.

It really sounds much better now, thank God!

Hi, mssolitaire, thanks for the videos, they are great.

I´m from Brazil and always pleased when JM pays a tribute to my country singing in (almost)perfect portuguese. You know, he has been here many times in the 60´s and 70´s for sold out concerts, we just love him here. I myself have been a fan for 50 years now, it looks he has recovered a lot of his voice, that´s good news for everybody!!
