  • I am using the Walkera 2801 Pro radio system with my Storm 450 and it was set up by Helipal. I am at the point where I want to try 3D flight. I can't seem to be able to get negative pitch while the motor is turning. Could it be that I have the throttle hold and the idle up levers confused? I am new to this hobby so pardon me for such a simple question. Which switches do what and what position should they be in in order to be able to do inverted flight.

  • no i got the walkera cb180d its awsome

  • and how long does the battery last

  • im getting one are they really fun

  • @r2koooolmi

Get the Walkera CB100, same heli with new head design and brushless main and tail motors. You will absolutely love it.

  • DAM! thats impressive trimming. i have a cp and can fly it pretty well but when it comes to trimming that thing im like a kid in toy store....lost

  • To be able to control with just trims, the world's MOST unstable helicopter EVER, is an incredible achievement. I've been bitching about this infernal machine for a year. The offset flybar, ala the PiccoZ was all, I thought, that was needed.

Not so,, and here we have the real deal.

I imagine that your engineering degrees in mechanics and aeronautics helped a lot.

  • Yep, I'm using the trims! But as little as possible and only 1-2 clicks at a time, honest. Something has to keep it from getting too close to the walls. What's so special is that it corrects any movement exactly opposite of that movement, as opposed to to the left or right, which would cause what we call the "toilet bowl effect" where a heli will move in a circle and accelerate as it gets out of control. Try it, and let me know if trims are enough. ;) :D Later, Jay

  • Great work Jay, Your investment in time and commitment to detail is paying off. Only people who have tried to do as you have will appreciate what it takes to do this. Subscribed

  • Thanks Jason! :)

  • Hey man what type land gear you used it ?

I have one 4g3 but all time I broke the land gear so I want to put it one different more strong ... thank you..

  • MIA Tuff Struts and Skids. They are invincible! rchobbyhelicopter com has them.

  • LOL, couldn't resist taking a peep at your video. That's and awesome design you have there!! I think you'll be signing plenty of big contracts in the far future if you keep this up :)

  • Thanks Jason! You too are on the list from back when you bought my Flea's.

Let's hope we hear from Walkera SOON! :D

    Later,

    Jay

  • cool video. Count me in on a few of your Techheads when you start making them!

  • You too! Done! :D

  • That is the most stable Walkera 4#3 (any type...lol) i have ever seen. The flybar phasing looks perfect and only one little part makes this all possible!!

    Truly Amazing.

I wish mine flew like that. It looks as stable as the legendary Hirobo Quark.

Keep up the great work I hope Walkera sees this...must have one yesterday!!!!!

    Amp

  • :D Your on the list already! :D

  • Nice flying. Are you moving the aileron trim?

  • Thanks! YES I am. As little as possible to keep it from drifting into the walls. I am clicking it only 1 or 2 clicks at a time and only to "influence" it back to the middle of the room. The recover from movements is purely the flybar doing what a flybar is really supposed to do! I never knew what a flybar really did until now! :) Later, Jay

  • you nutty

  • I keep hearing that from time to time! ^_^
