Desktop virtualization gives the user an environment entirely to themselves, which is monumental when programs begin to have problems. If each machine used remote desktop access, like through XenApp or Windows Terminal Services, the desktop would be operating in a shared space. For example, restarting a server in the middle of the day that 20 plus users all operate in, is a bad idea, and all because one program messed up. This is why desktop virtualization will be king.
so what is the difference between desktop virtualization and remote desktop acces ???
