  • Leave it up to Bob to derive a therapeutic technique from an act of attempted homicide. :)

  • bill is like naturally looney

  • Good job! He blew up the house!!!!!!

  • BURN BURN BURN!!!

  • haha best laught at 0:54

  • Bob's relieved face at 6:05 when Lily says "I do" LOL

  • @AwesomeGreenPerson That was funny. I guess Bob was worried that Dr. Marvin brainwashed Lily or said something bad about Bob how crazy Bob has been to touch things with a tissue where he thought she was probably joking about marrying him. Maybe Bob must have thought that not many people would love him because of his strange behavior of touching things with a tissue. His relieved face was probably like "yes, she does love me."

  • burn burn

  • "WHAT?! Oh it's terrible news Fay! Well he did try to commit suicide once before. Maybe we should have seen it coming. More fish anyone?"

  • one of the funniest movie of all time!

  • Bill, such a natural LOONEY!

  • Bill rules. This and Ghostbusters are my favorites

  • LOL omggg. 5:40 cracked me up.

  • That's my favoret part! Whene they became inlaws!

  • On Tuesday, we'll eat Gill. On Wednesday, we'll eat Bob. XD

  • There are more nuts WATCHING this than there are acting in it. ;])

  • This is a good example of what jealousy can do to a person. Dr. Marvin is so jealous of Bob that he is willing to kill him. I think the doctor should be in the mental hospital not Bob.

  • I love 0:46 - 0:56...he's totally lost it...LOL!!

  • I don't normally like comedies but this was brilliant!!!

  • How did the death therapy cure Bob? If I were to take a guess, since Bob thought that the time bombs were fake, I wonder if he thought that Dr. Marvin was trying to help him not to feel afraid of death (especially by touching things in public places) explaining that he is still a young man and that he will only die from old age after a huge amount of years.

  • @afriendofbean that doesnt help and everyone cann die young... like everyone could have his youth stolen by their family

  • That's true. People can die from young age. (I do remember on Wikipedia that it said that Bob thought that the explosives were fake). However, maybe with the death therapy, Bob must have thought that Dr. Marvin was just telling him to just take care of himself by eating good foods that make you healthy and strong and Bob must have thought that if Dr. Marvin was telling him this, he will live a long life where he was also telling him not to worry about getting diseases just by touching things.

  • From 4:06-4:10 and at 4:13, if the death therapy cured Bob, I guess he doesn't touch things in public places with a tissue anymore but with bare hands. Maybe from now on, any time Bob touches something in public places with bare hands, he probably now puts on hand sanitzer after touching something with bare hands.

  • only wild e. coyote, and yosemite sam leave a fuse that long!

  • I'll eat em till hes big and fat and then i'll eat him bob:)

  • Richard Dreyfuss is insane!!! LMAO

  • How can Leo sue him? He did not write a death theropy book.

  • @koala371 --While Leo is aiming a shotgun at Bob--

"What are you doing, Dr. Marvin?"

"Death therapy, Bob! Guaranteed cure!" *Insane giggle*

  • Black powder souds like is more dangerous than gun powder.

  • that was lovely hurling bill, lovely hurling

  • What happened to Dr. Marvin near the end? Did he get into a coma, or what is it?

  • @GameStation3 i think the stress made him crack.

  • @GameStation3 It's called catatonic schizophrenia.

  • The psychiatrist is totally crazy. Hmmm, Irony tastes like brownies!

  • I'm going to go ahead and presume that Gil was safe and happy in his bowl over at the "Burn! Burn! Burn!" couple's house.

  • you can't shot the man but you can blow him up??.that doesn't make any sense at all.

  • Maybe the reason Dr. Marvin said that because, I think (I might be wrong) the police can find out who shot a person by taking the bullet out of the dead body and maybe there is a code number somewhere on the bullet which the police type into their computer system and it gives the information on who bought that bullet and their contact info. where Dr. Marvin could have been seen on camera by the police for breaking into the weapon store. However, blowing up someone gives no evidence who did it.

  • @afriendofbean okay...well lol thanks.i never would have guessed any of that but in all honesty it's more noticeable and police would eventual put the pieces together so...

  • True. The police would find out very soon with evidence on who killed Bob. Maybe once the time bombs explode, they break into pieces which is why Dr. Marvin wanted to use them to kill Bob and if Bob really did explode, maybe the only evidence the police could see is a puddle of Bob's blood. I think Dr. Marvin wanted to use something that's painful without enough evidence of getting caught, and when he saw hand guns he said "too messy" probably meaning he'll get in a mess with the police.

  • @afriendofbean i dont see how bein blown up is painful at all? its sudden and inevitable death wouldnt that b painless?

  • In the weapon store Dr. Marvin said that he was looking for a weapon that's painful and when he saw the hand guns he said "no, too messy" and when he saw the bow and arrow he said "no, not painful enough" and when he saw the time bombs he said "yes" where he thought they were painful. Maybe his way of saying something painful is probably meaning that he wanted to use a weapon that will kill Bob with power right away without being cured (for a bullet, a person can be cured in the hospital).

  • @afriendofbean oooh ok i see what ur sayin.

  • @afriendofbean thanks for bringing psychological logic into a comedy where it's not needed

  • @TheEvilTacos I was just responding to bluedreamer5000 and LazyEye187 comments giving my opinion. Also, a lot of people give their opinions on YouTube videos even if it's a comedy. People always give their opinions on certain scenes or spots on what they saw or heard on the video or in the comments and how they felt.

  • @TheEvilTacos You tell 'em!

  • @LazyEye187 : I don't think Leo was....thinking very clearly at that particular moment... ;])

  • bob's lucky he was played by bill murray. make's you wanna check him.

  • Don't eat Gill

    He is cool

  • What about Gil?

Sadly, Gil perished in the explosion.

But it wasn't the bomb that got him.

He boiled to death in the fire

  • Probably Gil was at "The Gutman's" house since earlier in the movie when Bob came over to Dr. Marvin's house to drop by, Bob told Dr. Marvin that he is staying at "The Gutman's" house for his vacation. (I remember in the scene that Dr. Marvin gave Bob a note to say that he should take a vacation for his problems, Bob took Gil with him and Gil wasn't seen for the rest of the movie then, so maybe Gil was at "The Gutmans" house and not Dr. Marvin's house, so Gil didn't die in the fire).

  • @afriendofbean

    It;s onlyne a monie

    Get a life

  • What are you talking about?! You were the one who posted a comment thinking Gil was at Dr. Marvin's house being caught in the explosion, then I responded to your comment taking a guess that Bob left Gil at Mr. and Mrs. Gutman's house which meant Gil never died when the house exploded! If you don't like to read my comment I left for your comment, you should not have put a comment saying that you think Gil died in the fire! I also don't know why you are being very rude!

  • lmao his reaction 4:38

  • I hate Bob!!!!! and I hate Leo's family for being so dumb!!!!! Bob annoyed me so i totally feel for Leo.

  • I just want to kill Bob so badly. I totally feel for Leo.

  • Your death therapy cured me, you genius!

  • On Tuesday, we'll eat Gill. On Wednesday, we'll eat Bob. XD

  • Feed him until he is big and fat..... then I'll eat him !!! XD

  • I loved the couple in the boat chanting "Burn! Burn! Burn!" I loved that!

  • 6:35 is that Hasselhoff in the congregation?

  • Bill M. is a comedy genius and coupled with Richard was a laugh RIOT! Fantastic movie thx for the upload!

  • Thanks for uploading! One of my 90s favourite... Haven't seen it in years. Once again, got tears of laughter in my eyes... Just a perfect movie for a grey and rainy sunday afternoon as today's.

  • 20 pounds worth buahaha

  • I think it was a fitting end that if Bob were to drive his 'friend' Leo crazy, he would also be the one to sorta snap him out of it. :-)

  • THIS is one of my all-time favorite movies. Thanks so much for sharing it with us here. I love bill Murray and Dreyfuss is hilarious--he gets so MAD! Can almost see the smoke coming outta his ears. LOL

  • Comment removed

  • Leo: Free! free!

    Bob: Freeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!

That part always cracks me up

  • @Cinedragon lol i was going to say the same thing until i saw your comment. that part always gets me.

  • @ afriendofbean ~ I couldn't agree more! I think they should have done a second one! Maybe it's not too late! lol This is one of my favorite comedies ever!

Also, did you notice that Bob's therapist at the beginning of the movie, who pawns him off on Dr. Marvin, also said, "Free!" when he hung up the phone?

  • I agree. It might not be too late to make a second film called "What About Bob 2: Bob In Court." Maybe the reason he didn't make a second film was because, he wanted both Bill Murray and Richard Dreyfuss on it but, they both might not have had time. (He might not have wanted anyone else playing as their characters). Or maybe Frank Oz couldn't think of ideas to make a second film or, maybe he didn't have time himself since Frank Oz stars in a lot of muppet shows.

  • House blows up!!! The two old guys in the boat. "BURN BURN BURN!!! HAHAHA!!!" XD LOL!!!

  • I havent seen this in years! THANKS FOR UPLOADING!!!

  • 6:50 HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAAH

  • I love his giggling from 0:52-0:55; he sounds like an evil, little troll.

  • At 7:07, when it said "Leo is suing him for the rights" it would have been great if they made a second "What About Bob" movie where the second "What About Bob" movie can be called "What About Bob 2: Bob In Court" and the movie can be about Leo Marvin saying to the judge in the court making a lie that Bob is plagiarizing ideas on writing the book "Death Therapy" from the book "Baby Steps" and then Fay, Anna, Siggy, and Lily confront Leo not to take things seriously and show love to Bob as family.

  • @afriendofbean relax ok.

Bob ur first name or something?

  • I am relaxed, and it would have been nice if they made a second comedy film since this movie was funny.

Also, I was just giving my opinion. A lot of people have given their opinion on YouTube skits, especially Sesame Street YouTube skits whether the skit is a cartoon, a skit with muppets, for comedy, a movie, etc. People have always given their opinion on certain scenes or spots on what they saw or heard and how they felt.

  • @afriendofbean Why can't more movie producers have your intelligence.

  • I guess the reason they didn't make a second "What About Bob" film was because, maybe the director who was Frank Oz couldn't think of any ideas if he chose to make a second film. Or maybe Frank Oz didn't have time to make a second film since he stars in a lot of muppet shows.

  • At 6:51, was that look Dr. Marvin gave a disgusted look because Bob kissed him or because he hates him or because he's sad that Bob married Lily which makes Bob Dr. Marvin's brother-in-law?

  • At 3:49, was that the same cake that Bob was holding that one that was used at Dr. Marvin's birthday party or a different cake since because the cake at Dr. Marvin's birthday party fell on the ground once Dr. Marvin jumped and attacked Bob?

  • From 2:36-2:42, when Dr. Marvin said "free" did he mean that he's free from Bob or free out of the woods if he was lost or, was it a little of both? Also, did Bob say "free" at 2:44 because he got himself untied or because all his problems were cured forever, or was that also a little of both?

  • From 0:47-0:51, I love the way Dr. Marvin was singing.

  • BURN! BURB! BURN! HAHAAHA

  • Yes, that was funny. However, I know "the Guttmans" hated Dr. Marvin and wished he would burn in fire but, I wonder why they were happy that the house was burning up because they have been wanting to buy and live in that house for many years as Mr. Guttman mentioned to Bob that him and Mrs. Guttman have been saving money to buy that house.

  • thanks for posting this! i watched it in health, but we never got to finish. :P

  • Leo is suing him for the rights. LOL,that part at the end is a real laugh.

  • "After i dont kill you, you will show up again, and you'll do something else to make everyone in my life think your wonderful and im a shmuck, but im not a shmuck bob, and i wont let you breeze into town and take my family away just because your crazy enough to be fun" lmao

you know how old this movie is when you realize nobody really says "shmuck" any more

  • as a real psychiatrist would say "Is Your way working Leo"???...Frank Oz directed this film but I didn't see any muppets???...thanx for the upload I really enjoyed this...

  • wow talk about crazy

  • On tuesday we'll eat Gill, on wednesday we'll eat Bob. LMAO!

  • That Bob was a real pain in the butt. Doctor Marvin asked him to leave and he kept coming back.

  • close to the end, i wish bob was dead too

  • WHAT?! THE STATE OF NY!?

  • 2:33 & 2:40 they are f*cking nuts but I love it! :D

  • death therapy.

  • OOOOOOOPS :p

  • You may now kiss the...NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! LMAO

  • Yeah, thanks for uploading, this made my night :)

  • "Leo is suing him for the rights."

  • classic comedy..never gets old...hahaha XD

  • I love this movie...

  • haha!

  • yeah dad, how much worst can it get? HAHA!!! LOL!!!

  • "On Tuesday we'll eat Gill, on Wednesday we'll eat Bob!"

  • Leo's back, but he's still crazy!

    Great movie, thanks so much!

  • Hey ladyblackcat you found it, I congrat you and salute you!

Now I can enjoy the burning of the house with the cute couple chanting 'Burn! Burn! Burn!'

  • I'm gonna take a vacation from my PROBLEMS!!!! YOU BET I WILL

  • on tuesday we'll eat Gill on wendsday we'll eat bob,,, no thats going to far hahaha thats great!!!

    AT 3:17

  • lmao love this movie and how he laughs,,,, haha i'll feed him until he;s big and fat then i will eat him,,,, lol ,,,,,

  • "i dont think i can shoot anybody, but i am gonna blow u up"

  • I HATE BOB! HE RUINED MY LIFE!!!

  • awesome xD

    but poor leo dr. marvin...

    he shouldn't end like this.

  • @MissDepp6 lol, yeah. I definitely felt sorry for Dr. Marvin. Although it does seem like Bob is actually more well adjusted (in some ways) than Dr. Marvin, heh.

  • classic film.love it!

  • he should have shoot him..

  • He did say that he doesn't think he can shoot anybody. I think the reason he said that is because, there is a way to find out if someone shot someone else with a gun by looking at the bullet that the person got shot with where the code under the bullet gets typed on a computer and a person's name, address, phone number, and picture comes up. Maybe he thought he was caught on camera for stealing a rifle and bombs which is why he didn't shoot Bob but with a bomb, nobody can find out anything.

  • thanks for uploading-really enjoyed :)

  • thanks for uploading...great movie :) !
