Big Cat Rescue is a wonderful place for abused and neglected cats. The donations that people make is what keeps this refuge going.
I am helping by not going to the circus or any movies that exploit animals. If the entertainment business is not making money with the Big Cats they will stop using them.
I very much enjoyed this diveo and did not know Animal Defence International existed. Like Big Cat Rescue in the US they do a fantastic job and these people are very special.
in africa there are few laws, you could have your own animal rescue/law unit. africa could care less, its such a mess down there its so hard to keep track of there own food supply
I am guilty of going to a circus as a child, and to other things later like elephant rides and zoos. But now that I know better I will never, ever again pay a penny for a camel ride, snake charmer, circus, dancing bear, elephant trek, rodeo, horse or dog race, roadside zoo, bullfight, barbecue, donkey basketball game, fur-trimmed anything, dolphin show, puppy-mill dog or any other scheme, spiel or strategy which exploits our fellow animals for profit. In fact I'll fight them wherever I can.
this is the sort of thing i want to do with my life. i will prolly go to school for animal sciences and biology but i still do not know how to do this
Sorry, I did't mean to give you a 'thumbs down', I meant to just click on 'reply'. I was going to say, good for you, just study hard in school and in your spare time volunteer at an animal shelter or vet clinic and you will be working in the great and rewarding field of animal science before you know it.
but at least is better to be in large fensed lands than in curcuses! i whould never pay to see animal doing tricks or in a cage! thats a humiliation of the nature!
Will the tiger be able to survive in the jungle without having hunting and gathering skills? All he has ever known is being feed by humans and circus tricks.
i think so! these cats need to be trained to survive in the wild! i saw on tv two tigers born in captivity taken out in the wild with their owner who worked a lot for getting them ready to be released, but it is possible! i don;t know the whole story and the details but i think same happened to Christian the lion! he was released to the wild and after an year he found a pride lionesses ....it is possible, but it doesn't bring money to these organiz. and thet's why they dont do that!
this repetitive music is annoying. apart from that, good work ADI.

Execute poachers by shoving a thick red hot sword up their ass:)

lol! I wish you were in charge of law enforcement!
On a serious note, it's actually the people who buy such goods who are more culpable than the poachers themselves. So we need to get them too!

I don't think so. Cats usually stay with their mothers for a couple years after they;re born so they can learn all there is to know abotu survival.
