  • i have one question

do nids shit themselves when they see the sisters and there shit load of flamers

  • Someone should make a film about a Tyranid invasion of a planet in the 40k universe and call it 51 days

  • What is the music used in this ?

  • gotta love the nids!

  • within 50 days they crush all resistance on a Human Planet Holy shit!!!

  • @darkclick24 and keep in mind, those can be worlds inhabitating 500 billion people. The tyranids attack a sytem with 1.5 billion crafts at once what is insance.

  • i like how most of the comments are replies

  • zerg > tyranids

  • @image357 leave...just leave this world...dont even speak of such heresy...the overmind is the hive minds son..its obvious...as much as i love sc,(and trust me i love that game as well as the zerg) the tyranids are a much more defined, in depth and complicated race...the zerg(for starters)are native to this galaxy, which takes alot of the mystery out of it...they were made by a known race and also had creators rather than having evolved all on their own..so while zerg are very cool, their

  • @image357 storyline isnt nearly as in-depth, and the zerg were actually based on the tyranids, unless you think that the fact that sc started out as a warhammer game is irrelevant

  • @image357 oh and dont even get me started about kerrigan...first off her new voice actor SUCK

  • @ShadowKnight275 erm...i meant SUCKS

  • I have a question... why is everything a rip off of this and that the way I see it there are differences however few between starcraft, warhammer 40k, halo, alien. that being said there are a lot similarities but we still love these games each in their own right, so it dosen't really matter. am i missing something about this? if so then sorry.

  • @Questionhex they arent all rip offs....except for sc..if they failed at basing their species or watever on whatever came before then they would be rip offs..or if they were originally intended to be the species that came before*cough*zerg*cough*...although i dont get how the flood are a rip of of tyranids...while they are similar they are different for the most part..their mroe like the aliens from deadspace(LOVE THAT GAME)

  • Zerg and Tyranids are both rip offs of the Xenomorphs from the Alien franchise.

  • @DearBossMusic ...and the father of all of them is HR Giger!

  • @tmafkap

    Who is a genius.

  • Except for how they're not.

  • @Azartusfar They clearly are. Go watch the film.

  • I've seen all four alien films as well as the avp films and played most avp games, they clearly are not.

  • @Azartusfar

Yes there are subtle differences but their design is sooooo similar to the Xenomorphs. The long heads are the most obvious one.

  • 'nids don't have long heads, they also don't reproduce by gestating inside a host, nor do they have eggs. Xenomorphs are very dull compared to nids, you've got the queen and a bunch of warriors, tyranids also have to be within reach of the hive mind while aliens don't. Tyranids are capable of space travel and don't bleed acid, nor can they climb on any surface. The only thing they have in common is that they attack in mass and even then there was only one alien in the original film.

  • @Azartusfar

Of course there are differences. But the overall design is very similar. They all look like they were designed by HR Giger. There is no denying that.

  • @DearBossMusic Not really, even Alien just looked like a remake of pumpkin head.

  • @Azartusfar

Alien came out in 1978. Pumpkin Head in 1988.

  • @DearBossMusic and all are directly drawing off of the bugs from starship troopers.

  • @RedGrobo

Giger didn't copy the design of the Xenomorph from Starship Troopers. It is completely different. He designed the Xenomorph around themes of human sexuality and death. Its is a very cleverly designed creature. Both phallic and skeletal at the same time. The bugs from starship troopers are just giant bugs. Little clever design there.

  • @DearBossMusic while you are correct in stating that the tyranids are BASED off of the Xenomorphs, thats like saying star wars is a rip off of star trek, or that the xenomorphs are based off of the buggers(if you dont get that reference then go repent for your sins against the primachs and read Enders game), or any other subject/art is based off of any other art(and yes, creating video games, movies, and a game/history as complex as warhammer is an art)...which means that everything is a rip off

  • @ShadowKnight275

Yes you are right. I think it probably would have been fairer of me to say 'heavily derived from' (with regards to appearance anyway).

The buggers from Ender's Game (yep I got the reference) came long after the first Alien film was released. Ender's Game was written in 1985.

  • @DearBossMusic fair enough....fair enough.....and i am greatful that somebody in this world knows that reference :D

although you hafto agree with the fact that zerg are pretty much ripped of from nids..and nids and aliens from alien are very different...the aliens arent as connected(hive mind)and they dont vary as much..and they dont have their own spaceships..

  • @ShadowKnight275

They don't have their own spaceships true. But they do have a hive mind.

Yeah zerg definitely came after tyranids and were probably heavily influenced by them. However the point I was making is that everything is derived from somewhere.

  • @DearBossMusic of everything....although in the case of zerg, they were originally intended TO BE TYRANIDS which is why they are a rip off of tyranids..not xenomorphs...and while i think that the zerg are fucking awesome, the tyranids are much cooler in my opinion...and in terms of the xenomorphs and tyranids..i have to say it depends on what aspects of them your talking about...but generally i like the galaxy-wide significance of the tyranids rather than the small ships/planets are confined to

  • @DearBossMusic True to that... but couldn't Aliens be Tyranid lost bioforms? :P

  • @Alpharius93

Nice idea. We'll find out won't we when the Alien Prequel comes out ;)

    I for one can't wait! :D

  • @DearBossMusic both aliens and the tyranids were born around the same time, tyranids were planned before ridley scotts alien was made but ridley scott's movie franchise was finished before the completion of the tyranids....in some words.....IN YOUR FACE!

  • @elderbrute It is H.R. Gigers Alien, Ridley Scott only directed the movie.

  • @elderbrute

I'm afraid that is simply not true. The tyranids were first mentioned in Rogue Trader in 1987. 8 years after the first Alien movie.

  • @DearBossMusic And Xenomorphs are ripp offs of Archnids from Starship Troopers (Book)

  • @DeadManSinging1

Not really. The xenomorph design is based around the human skeleton and symbols of sex. The Arachnids are just giant bugs.

  • @DearBossMusic Well I see Tyranids as being Archnids more then Xenomorphs. Think about it. They have camo, theres different types of them and they are able to use bio-organic weaponry (In the book they use guns similar to the Tyranids's)

  • @DearBossMusic all lore is basically a rip off of other lore.

  • @DearBossMusic And alien is a ripoff of some sea crature which the alien character is based upon :D

  • @DearBossMusic Zerg, Tyranids and Xenomorphs might not have ever exsisted where it nor for the art of H.R Giger.

  • @DearBossMusic true, but Aliens are like small cute baby monsters compared to them.

  • @DearBossMusic

Zerg is the copy of the tyranids, but none of em are ripoff the xenomorphs. Xenos dont have the hive mind, and dont "assimilate" creature's DNA, only use creatures as an incubator. Maybe the idea comes from the xenomorphs, but not a ripoff.

And btw zerg cant be the same as nids,

    Xenomorph - 1979, Tyranids(first: genestealers) - 1987, Zerg - 1998

  • @Ironfist85hu1

I was talking more about the aesthetic appearance. Xenomorphs do have a hive mind however.

  • @Ironfist85hu1

Also Xenomorphs do assimilate creatures DNA. Whatever creature they incubate in they absorb a small portion of its DNA. Thats why the xenomorph in Alien 3 runs on all fours, because it incubated inside a dog.

  • @DearBossMusic

But its not the very basics of the whole race. Zerg/tyranids are like the borg, just not technical, but biological borg. Iagree with the idea, that the nids' creators got inspiration from xenos, but i dount that it would be a ctrl-c ctrl-v. Like the zerg is a ctrl-c ctrl-v from the nids.

  • @Ironfist85hu1 you could just say copy/mirror :)

  • @DearBossMusic were the Aliens completely original too? I'm just asking :)

  • @DavidtheDuke

Pretty close to it. The guy who designed Alien is a world renowned artist. He designed it based around the human skeleton and sexual organs.

  • @DearBossMusic the tyranids and zerg are both xeno life forms. thats why they all look like xenomorphs .so there not rip offs there based on what people think a xeno exo skeleton lifeform would look like

  • @eutasproductoins

Bugs have exoskeletons. But the bugs in our natural world do not look like the Xenomorphs from Aliens. The Xenomorph's skeleton is based around the human skeleton. And do you know what 'xeno' means? It means Alien. There are plenty of Aliens that do not look like the Xenomorph.

  • the reason SC is having alot of simularitys in races is because SC1 was supposed to be warhammer, but Games Workshop did not like SC1 and thought it to be lorebraking (not that relic doesn't breake lore in the Dawn of war), so Blizzard desided to make it to SC as they were not allowed to call it warhammer 40k. So yes.. The SC races comes from Warhammer lore.

  • @Rekksar not to be rude..im actually genuinly interested. When does DOW break lore?

  • @ShadowKnight275 It is nothing majore. Balance mostly, like a space marine would be able to kill 20+ orks, that is obviusly not the case, so the strength of troops is the biggest issue. Another thing that comes to mind is the traitor Ogerin, as far as I know( not totaly sure) they are not smart enough to be traitors, the only real case of traitor Ogeryn was from the Harresy, when they got convinced that the traitors were the loyal, and alot more small stuff here and there.

  • @Rekksar lol...an ogryn thinking that the chaos are the loyalist...thats hilarious and just like those silly muscular people to do...although the boardgame itslef also breaks lore in that a space marine would probably be able to take out more than 20 orks, and a guardsmen would have zero chance of killing a marine and no matter how high a rank you are, not even a commisar(other than yarrick)would be able to kill a marine...i hate (but sympathize with)the fact that a gretchin has a chance of kill

  • @ShadowKnight275 a marine..BLACK TEMPLARS FTW I DONT CARE WAT ENYBODEH SAYS TEMPS OWN ALL

  • @ShadowKnight275 although nids and khorne marines are tied my second fave...

  • Ohhhh my god are you guys seriously trying to compare SC2 to DOW. THEY'RE BOTH GREAT GAMES!!! SHUT UP ALREADY!

  • @fooxfoot no we arent..we are comparing lore

  • I just wana say that the only way the imperium or any of the "good" (not so evil races) races have any chance of surviving is by allying with eachother...eldar and tau and humans vs all others :D and even then...

  • Petty scary. do they reverse engineer the cellular structure of their prey to evolve or foes the hive mind analyze the ongoing battle to see how troops could be improved to crush the resistance, or both?

  • not enough vespene gas

  • I think the music should be a little bit quieter

  • I miss this old fluff, nowdays there are actually individuals in the tyranid fleets, those who have an identity of their own are the warriors, hive tyrants and the swarmlord.

  • @Sweddude And any other synape creature.

  • @Sweddude sort of, but in reality they are simply a fraction of the hive minds "personality" as a whole--they are allowed to have their own identity because it suits the hive mind and because the hive mind wills it...

(i almost said overmind.....zerg are a rip off of tyranids--'nuff said)

  • Awesome

  • @SgtRaybo The Hive mind that control all tyranid organisms is certenly dmart enough to implement guns. If you have read ANY lore relating to tyrandis you will understand they are not beasts but warriors controlled by a godlike alien mastermind

  • this sent chills up my spine. Talk about nightmare monsters.

  • Since when did biological units that rely on their numbers and speed use guns if they used something such as acid or bones i'd understand but guns i don't think there smart enough to have that amount of technology

  • @SgtRaybo take the flood bro they use guns but then make the flood 24235235 times more bad ass

  • @SgtRaybo They can travel from one galaxy to the other but can't have guns? lol

  • @SgtRaybo It's not a gun as in an AK 47 that is manufactured and shipped. It's an organism bred to create certain substances or other organism inside it that are then proppelled out of the first organism. Imagine you had a spitting cobra attached to your arm. That's how it works.

  • @SgtRaybo Each creature is a cell in a larger body that is the Tyranid super-organism that is the hive fleet. Each is subservient to the greater will of the hivemind- an ageless consciousness that permeates each creature and spans into the depths of space itself. It certainly understands ballistics and much, much more.

This video actually hardly touched on the true depths and horror of a Tyranid attack; the genestealer cults, the flora bloom, the other species of assault creatures.

  • @Epblueyes yea i would definatley like to learn more about the genestealers and their cults....dont know much about them. I am, after all, a servant of his divine lordship the emperor--i am his chosen warrior

    I am a space marine...

    I am a BLACK TEMPLAR!!!

  • I love how whoever invent tyranids clearly doesn't understand the theory of evolution.

  • @DearBossMusic See in the real world we have Science established by professionals: In fiction we have SCIENCE! Which esentially is anything the author wants to do!

  • @DearBossMusic lol XD

  • @DearBossMusic they evolved to the point that they could control their own evolution--they are the pen-ultimate of all evolution possibility...thats the whole idea behind the tyranids

  • Khorne baserkers: KILL THOSE ALIENS!!! Blood For The Blood God!

Nids: MILK FOR THE KHORNE FLAKES!!!!! NOMNOMNOM

  • Glad you mentioned the Zoats!

  • Great series! Thanks for doing all these great videos!

  • Tyranids

    Xenomorphs

    Zerg

    Necromorphs

  • Flood?

  • @GrimReaperKILLYOU *facepalm* there is always one....

  • What? I was replying to a comment

  • @GrimReaperKILLYOU lol kk Its just because I have no idea how these are like the flood....

  • well Tyranids absorbe biomass and redistribute it in new forms

Flood do the same exept they do it with infection form's and there forms are not as pure

also both are ruled by a hive mind

  • @GrimReaperKILLYOU Oh okay I get it now XD they are sorta alike

  • @sorenver flood, buggers, ect lol

  • @sorenver actually the whole hivemind overmind idea im pretty sure originated with enders game..although the buggers arent evil they still provide the main concept behind all the things you listed

  • cod suck ass

  • Wow dramatic

  • They should do Iron hands :D

  • There could actually exist an alien race like that somewhere in the universe.

  • @MrPoilu Yeah :3 A big chance acturly :O Earths radars have found good planets with water and trees! Like the earth!!! But lost contact after 2 minutes of looking at it :'( Cant find it anymore

  • @2h4d0wDK No. No other lifeform have been confirmed elsewhere in the universe than on planet earth.

But scientist are regularly discovering "super earths", where liquid water that could support life might be found. We're pretty sure we'll discover extraterrestrial life sometime in the future, but we don't know if that's going to be in 1 or 1 millions years.

  • @MrPoilu Yeas there have, on mars we have found water! And yes, we have found a planet like earth, but that planet was thousands and thousands of light years away

  • and the question we are all asking now....is who created the tyranids? if someone "created" the tyranids, why? were the tyranids always like this, or did they used to be an empire of some kind? are there any other galaxies left? or is this the last galaxy left with life and the tyranids have consumed all life other than this one last stronghold..

  • @ShadowKnight275 The tyranids move as a wave, consuming all life they pass. There are galaxies on all sides of ours, which means that if the milky way was the only one left, the tyranids would have to have begun their feasting at completely different sides of the universe.

  • @warhammer3012 but they could have gone in a circle around our galaxy or something..lol

  • Damn bugs, you scary!

  • lol imperial navy failed

  • For the swarm!

  • well done good job and i love how calm you sounded and how the days were plotted out

  • so thats what happened to mars

  • there is no one there only swarm

  • @NinjaSpartanThe Necrons are more like robots then "alive"

  • F@#$ only 100 days late

  • @NinjaSpartanThe there not really alive they are more like zombies they are undead and powerd by there gods

  • love your videos and I found the how to play 40k series very nice as a new player. The only critque I have of the history videos (and perhaps it is because I was listening with headphones) is that the background music is too loud. There are times when I cannot hear the commentary very well. Other than that, very nice :)

  • 1 person got owned by genestealers

  • @JDsMTG a Canifex would be more fitting

  • Man I thought zerg from Starcraft were badass, but these guys are truly terrifying in what they do

  • Comment removed

  • @braniacc Yeah they are, came years before Starcraft, I have a feeling Blizz's main creative guy Metzen is a huge GW fan considering some of the similarities between the IPs.

  • @Davetacular45 actually starcraft and warcraft were originally going to be warhammer 40k and fantasy games, but something happened and GW decided not to do it. But bilzzard decided to keep going with the project and changed it up so that they wouldn't be sued for copyright

  • @Davetacular45 zergs were meant to be tyranids at start.

  • @Davetacular45 i agree with u man

  • @Davetacular45 Well... if you think about it, the Zerg and the Tyranids are kinda one and the same... just in different universes.

  • @Davetacular45 Zerg = Tyranid Rip-off, Terrans = Space Marines/IG rip-off, Protoss = Cross between eldar and Tau rip-off.

  • @Mjollnir1990 Irregardless of who ripped off whom, the Protoss existed before GW created the Tau....

  • @ansion8D this is true actually...well maybe im not sure when tau were created..so toss had nothing to do with tau they just ended up being similar to them..they were eldar from the start

  • @Mjollnir1990 Protoss came out years before Tau, fanboy.

  • @Mjollnir1990 idd i agree tho i didnt know that a small part of the team that made up these warhammer races when they enter blizzard the workt from the already made ideas from warhammer 40k races :o but it still a rip off .... and noting can become better then 40k

  • @Mjollnir1990 Actually they are not "rip-offs" ... they are the "same" thing for Star Craft was originally developed as a WH40k game, but because of license problems SC was forced to change the names and minor details. I personally don't make difference between the two of them. Kind a like Perfect Dark (N64) was meant to be Goldeneyes sequel ... x)

  • @Davetacular45 zerg came from Tyranids.

  • @Davetacular45 zerg are pets compared to them ....

  • Comment removed

  • @Davetacular45 You are a man of taste.

  • @Davetacular45 Well, Zerg are basicly a rip off of Tyranids.

  • @DeadManSinging1 Zerg are Tyranids.. Gamesworkshop created everything to do with starcraft but pulled out over publishing costs

  • @Davetacular45 believe it or not the zerg where originally based off the tyranids. starcraft was going to be a warhammer 40k game but was turned down by gamesworkshop. and thus blizzard picke it up and BANKED!!!!

  • only thing that can pwn nidz are crons, and that is why nidz and cronz are my favorite races

  • so there suppose to eat all life??? gee doesnt that sound like the necromorphs and or the flood? anyonew agree?

  • @TheMonsterSkull ya but warhammer 40k was way before either :P

  • hey tyranids guess what! WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!! .....COCO CRISPY SQUIGS :/

  • oops. Youtube had an accident in the middle fo the video.

  • Tyranids Tyranids Tyranids! Lets hear it for the devourers of life!

  • whoa, this species sounds SO FUCKING SCARY!!! D:

  • I love how Tyranids went to a Necron planet and were like ummmm nooo food ummmm well.... seea!!! and they just left ahahahah so Necrons are safe lol

  • @Renegadeairsoft thats cuz they know not to mess with the necrons...lol...scariest species i think are in this order:

    3. Chaos Deamons

    2. Tyranids

    1. Necrons

Also what would happen if the tyranids went straight into the eye of terror? pretty awesome concept...or if all the orcs converged into one waaahg straight into the eye of terror...or the mealstorm...those are two fights i would love to see or hear about..

  • @ShadowKnight275 sounds pure badass if you ask me haha and idk Tyranids are pretty fucking scary but second is good.

  • TYRANIDS RULE! first day 1 tyranid day 2 ummmmmmmmmmm what world?....

  • Me like Tyranids :)

  • Comment removed

  • @Maxnr66 necrons do not rule, they suck and are in desperate need of a new codex filled with new rules, and a couple more vehicles. Necrons are cheesy and extremely boring to play because they all do everything on a 3+ and all weapons are gauss and you gotta kill everything twice -.-

  • @Oliver200101 they got a new codex so HAHAHA

  • plz can somebody tell me what is the music from or where can i download it? :S

  • Termagaunt>Hormagaunt>Genestealer> Warrior to Venom and ravenor to Lictor>Tyrant guard> Carnifex> hive Tyrant>Swarmlord

  • The best way to deal with the tyranids is to send them to fight the Necrons.

  • @Hound419 they wouldnt fight them because they know that they wont get anything from beating them since their is no bio-matter in necrons..plus u cant control the nids so yea..

although i have always wondered if the nids could in fact consume the necrons considering the fact that one of their bio-forms can eat rocks and make it into fuel for its 'flame thrower' as well as bio-mass..i dont remember what its called as i dont play nids

  • actually... Tyranids were made by Chaos Space Marines shit where they accidentally shit on some ants grew figured out how to have sex then kept doing it until they evovled! This is my theory

  • @TheFuNNySiDeVeVo U serious?thats stupid lol

  • @168anonymous it could be true....

  • what if they are the last weapon of the old ones to right the mistake for creating psychic war races like the eldar and to combat the C'tan.

  • @Ronin0609 notice that the old ones are in both the fantasy and 40k games...i mean orcs is one thing and humans is obvious..and eldar may be similar but...old ones?!?!?!?! LIZARD MEN MUST BE THE NECRONS!!!!

  • 3:40 did you mean ascend? :D

  • all warhammer 40K cereals

Capn carnifex (high in protiens fibers and biomass)

coco crispy squigs (squiggier with every bite....and stupider)

imperial puffs (the box prize is a bazooka)

necron nom noms(with resserection orb marsh mallows)

bolter bunches(for that lead in your brain taste mmm mmmmm good) and lastly khorne flakes(BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD!!!!!!!!)

  • @The7Purplekirbies

    Shas'O's for Tau.

  • @roman11777 mmm shas'O's

  • Can i ask where the soundtrack is from?

  • I WANT DA ORK HISTORY

  • @Kriegerherz15 Here it is in a nutshell...

    WAAAGH!

    DAKKA DAKKA!

    KILL DA UMIES!

    Done

  • @Collin8843 U think wez so eazi ta discribe? uz gonna get stomped ia lidle git.
