  • Everyone loves this track as its Percy's farewell to his Zeppelin roots. This would have appeared on the next Zeppelin record if Bonzo had lived. Everyone here hopes that Pagey' had some influence on this track but he did not as he had no part of this song. As Liberty Door notes below, if Page had any influence we would have seen a song credit.

  • When the album first originated my fairytail was if PAGE playing guitar This is the type of tune one suspects PAGE to sneak in the guitarring we all know not so but ZOZO still remains even thirty two years without Bonzo

  • phil collins is the shit on drums and he always will he a pro

  • Just listen to the brilliant guitar! Robbie Blunt never received the credit that he justly deserved for both his playing and writing on these early Plant solo works .Plant himself is on great form here .'Pictures At Eleven' also contains some of the best rock drumming that I have heard courtesy of Phil Collins and the late ,great Cozy Powell

  • When Plant and Blunt began to write, Slow Dancer and Just Like I've Never Been Gone were, according to Plant himself, the first two songs they wrote. I have no reason to believe this had any input from Page. Inspired by middle-eastern flair, yes. But the chord structures are characteristic of Blunt's other work on Pa11, TPOM and SnS. Also, Collins was fantastic on this track live, very faithful to Cozy Powell's studio work. I miss Blunt and Woodroffe!

  • Peterbadgely. Where did you get that information on Page giving up these tracks? Would plant not have given song credit to his boys?

  • this was magnificent on the very st tour back in 83.. caught it.. collins on drums and all.. houston, tx..

  • GREAT ! ! !

  • Someone please upload the original the whole track pls

  • This is what rock and music is .

  • This song just fucking oozes sensuality. If you can't get laid to this, you never will.

  • THE BEST!!!!!!!!!!

  • Simply superior. I saw him in September 1983 in Massachusetts. Everyone thought that Through with the two Step was In the Light. In fact, you can hear folks yelling: " iN THE LIGHT" if you listen to Plant's box set. i remmeber it live, as I yelled: "Dude, it's in the light.".

  • There were some materials that led Zeppelin were rehearsing from the 1980-81 period. Unfortunately, Bonham died. However, Page donated (in a way) Slow Dancer to Plant. Also, Burning Down One Side was also conceived by Page, Plant, Bonham, and Jones in 1980. Page agreed to let some of the tunes go to Plant due to Bonhams death.

  • Sure is nice to hear Phil Collins play drums and not sing.

  • @kubrick681,

    Agreed!

  • заебись!

  • awesome im a plant man, hate to say it but thats a bonham tribute, last zep sound thank you thats awesome,i saw him in 2007 seven,i bitched for weeks

  • ...song with a lot of balls!!

  • Saw the concert in Austin right before this one and it was the best of all the Plant concerts I've seen....

  • foarte frumos

  • Oh...to hear what all Bonzo woulda done with this song live! One can only dream.

  • Occult star info at jagball22 -- Thank you

  • luv it

  • I am looking for a few other songs from this album could some one upload the whole album please

  • cozy powell and zep

  • Best fuckin song ever!!!

  • wow great voice!

  • The Studio version with Cozy Powell cant be beat...but this is the greatest song Robert Plant ever did that should have been done during Zeppelins time...must listen if have never heard before :)

  • THIS IS AMAZING!

  • Great quality thank you

  • Robert Plant is a smex-bag...

  • i dont understand why the picutres at eleven album version of this song with cozy playing hasnt been uploaded by far the best copy

  • i love this song most of his solo stuff

he knows pagey, jonsey & jason layed down some original licks AND put them up, for now

THEY all said it was some special stuff ,

so you know its put up for robert to here when he's ready. ROBERT knows this, he knows its the first colaboration of pagey & jonsey since Zep

he'll get to it when the time is rite, & im sure if it "inspires him"

then naturally he will follow thru

IT WILL HAPPEN NATURALLY, like fate

  • Awesome song & one of my fav Plant-solo songs. Why isn't he doing songs like this anymore in his shows? He either slows the version incredibly down, or doesn't play any of his hits any longer..Big Log, Tall Cool One, etc. He should do one more Zepp tour, a DVD/CD, and then a solo tour with songs in their original versions, along with a solo DVD/ CD. PLEASE Robert! Percy ROCKS!

  • planty's bestest!!!!!!

  • I Said this on another thread, but it's worth repeating here, interesting that on the album he uses Phil Collins for all tracks, but the most "Zeepelinesque" track on the Albums he uses the only drummer capable of stepping into Bonzo's Shoes, Cozy Powell.

  • @Kopsinger wow did not know collins drummed for Plant. knew he drummed for Clapton all the time. Amazing the shit i learn here. Seems like Collins drums for alot of rock stars.

  • Better Live, the Best!

(speechless really, since I always liked this song, but live... sounds like Zep! close!)

  • Way better tune live version than the studio. Bob at his finest.

  • Nice job with that picture collage... excellent!

  • What a creation! Spellbinding!

  • @himaddriH

yea its like where did he pull this from , hes do diverse

AND SUPERIOR than everyone else musically

    RIP ronnie james dio

(led zeppelin was his favorite band)

  • awesome, thx 4 post.

  • one of the greatest songs that i've ever heard!!!

    Robert Plant rocks!!!

  • GORGEOUS SONG!!!!!! very rockinggggg

  • the quality of solid gold.

  • excellent song

  • somehow you get the feeling that Plant wrote this during the Physical Graffiti days but didn't get it onto the album. Easily one of my favorites of his solo career.

  • @hindsave to be honest i think he totally ripped this one off of deep purple's perfect strangers

  • @averagebodybuilder Not unless he had a time machine! Plant wrote this in 80/81, and DP didn't reform until 1984...

  • @clayopalstar touche maybe DP ripped off of RP

  • @averagebodybuilder Actually, I never noticed how similar they were until you pointed it out!

  • @averagebodybuilder how does that work considering this song was released on 1982's "pictures at eleven".....and DP's Perfect strangers" wasn't released until 1984.......?

  • @nowandzen7 man you are late in teh discussion... check out the part between me and clayopalstar

  • same vocal range as for trampled underfoot

  • brings back great memories when this came out...
