I personally don't believe in evolution but I can understand why some people do, it is a very good theory, I just dont agree with it. I must admit I was a little disappointed to find out it was a part of this episode
Evolution and creation are 2 different things. Evolution states death before sin and the Bible tells us that because of sin we have death. God did not make us into an animal form and then evolve us into man. We know this as the bible tell us that in Gen 1:26 "And God said, Let us make MAN IN OUR IMAGE, after OUR LIKENESS" Rom 8:3 "God sending his own SON in the LIKENESS of SINFUL FLESH" Php 2:7 "was made in the LIKENESS OF MEN" So let me ask you was Jesus man or an ape like creature? Jos 24:15
I have to say i'm not glad that Dr. Mike believes in evolution...she said before that she believed in God so how does that work? The Darwin theory is just that..a theory..nothing more. It says in the Bible "And God created man in his image." It doesn't say God created an ape who then after "millions of years" evolved into a human. Dr. Mike needs to read her Bible again.
@falloutgirl63 Many things in the Bible are not to be taken literally... Do you take Jesus' parables literally? Of course not, that would make them loose all their interest. Genesis is mostly a philosophical story about the difference between men and other animals (= we know the notions of good and bad).
Evolution is much more than just a theory among others... Even Pope John Paul II said so: ''Fresh knowledge leads to recognition of the theory of evolution as more than just a hypothesis."
@falloutgirl63 I believe in evolution and I believe in God. I don't pretend to know how God created man, or how He created the earth. I am known by my friends as being one of the most theist, most religious people they know. However, I'm also completely dedicated to science. There's no issue in my mind.

Thousands of years could pass in God's 'day' Man was the last creation. He could have decided "Heck, I want more than just apes, lets make a few in to man." If Darwinism is indeed true. I think people get so stuck in one point of view, that they are unwilling to accept that maybe black and blue make purple. There's always a middle ground.

Evolution does not strictly refer to humans, either, but to all living organisms, many of which show evolution on a daily basis (ie: bacteria). The theory does not state that humans developed from apes - rather, we have a common ancestor that was neither human nor ape. Our DNA IS 95% similar. Like ghillies4life said, creation and evolution could happily go hand in hand.

For example, the theory of gravity - it is just a theory. What greater design could God come up with, though, than to create life that can adapt to change on this Earth?
Same thing happened to my wisdom teeth, they came in at an angle because there wasn't room and got infected and the dentist had to remove them. I'm sure wisdom teeth were valuable to more primitive humans who didn't take care of their teeth, but they were nothing but trouble for me.

@ZahraJAnna some christians believe in the theory of evolution. especially now b/c there's a lot of support, but it doesnt cancel out belief in god. instead of 7 literal days in making earth, christians can suggest that adding darwin's theory = there could've been 7 stages over a long period of time and that's just the christian way of seeing it. back then some ppl believed the same thing (not a literal meaning of the txt, but not saying there's no God.)

Dr. Mike acts real momish in this espisode-hows she's growing more into the role that she took on in the pilot. I like that. Even more so in Mothers and Daughters! But bad timing ...not at school! I also like Jessica Bowman as Colleen because she calls Dr. Mike "Ma" as Erika wouldn't and you would think after oh I don't know 4 seasons (at least) Colleen would call Dr. Mike "Ma"!

No one is saying Darwin is God. If someone tried to pray to Darwin I'd smack 'em upside the head. But that doesn't mean he's not allowed to think freely and come up with his own ideas. However wrong they may be.
If you must know, I call my family since they are REAL people who can actually help me. If I'm hurt, I call a doctor. I don't pray for the bleeding to stop like an idiot. I was not saying we test god. I was saying test FOR god. I never had any intention of giving god a written test or anything. I'm asking for items or events that have distinctly supernatural quality that can be measured/perceived. For example, many report a drop in temperature when they perceive a ghost in the room. We can monitor a change in temperature. While it does not prove/disprove ghosts, it is something that can be measured and may influence one's perception of ghosts.
@SLDNDASIXTIES I think science and religion can exist simultaneously. Science isn't a religion, therefore anything biblical in nature can be explained through scientific theories. I do believe God created the World. However, I do not disagree that those who do not believe in the bible and its' contents cannot have their own way of thinking. The existence of the world must be explained through some phenomenon whether it be religious or scientific.

Sadly that's true. I've had classes like that with both male and female teachers. It doesn't make for a very productive learning environment.

Yeah, everytime I went to my class with a certain teacher I would have to listen to a guys whispering about her and snickering and hitting on her.
