WARNING TO EVERYONE, DO NOT BUY THIS LAPTOP, OR ANY DELL LAPTOP AT THIS TIME IF YOU VALUE YOUR SOUND! All dell laptops are known to to have DPC latency issues, If you don't know what that is it is a processing issue which causes the audio to constantly lock up and makes your sound practically un-usealble. If you want proof simply google search dell DPC latency problems, the threads on these problems are literally 100's of pages long. It IS a major issue and I would suggest looking elsware.
Hi Jason, need some info: can you tell me the box size (L x W x B) in which the dell latitude 13 came ? need this to calculate volumetric weight for import purposes, thanks in advance.
@ThoughtsMedia THANKS A TON ! ya i know its a unique query, but i can't understand why dell cant mention the dimensions of the packaging as all air shipped packages require volumetric weights (especially for importing) Thanks again !
@FXerGerFra I used to cover it up, but the Windows OEM code is hardware tied to the SKU of this laptop, so unless someone else has V13 - which already comes with Windows 7 of course - they can't use it. At least that's what I've been told. :-)
Normally installing Vista or Seven on a Dell you don't need to Insert any Code at all, it is pulled from the hardware.
Still if you have a Dell OS DVD you should be able to install the OS on any Machine with the key on the bottom, at-least i could to that whit the Vista Business Key of my Dell Precision. (I think it should at-least work for any Dell Machine if you have the Fitting OS DVD from Dell)
@oPsYcHoTiCo You mean an internal battery that you can't change easily? Some people might consider it bad - but it's a side effect of having a laptop that thin. If you want a battery you can swap out easier, you'll need to buy a different, thicker laptop.
Yea I saw this awhile ago on their website, I thought it look pretty cool than I saw all the that you have to plug in the back, I think they have had the usb's in the front but then again if you had the computer in your lap it'll be poking you.
I feel like it's a little too much reach, like the one i have now, i sometimes have to move my screen and lift up my computer just to make sure i'm putting tings in the right spot, where as to the sides it's a little more simpler, that's all.
That's a nice looking laptop, but I don't like the integrated battery at ALL! That's a bad move on Dell's part. That effectively makes this disposable technology unless you want to pay Dell the price of a new laptop in a couple years to replace the battery for you because that's about the expected life-span of a standard laptop battery under average use.
Yeah, it's a compromise that Dell made to get it to be so thin - I have a video coming up where I crack open the case and you can see the internal battery; it's thin and wide. It would be pretty easy (I think) for a semi-technical user to replace it.
What video was your question on? I try to answer every question I can, though I ignore ones that fall into the "That's a stupid question" category. ;-)
Never get this laptop!!!! It's screen will be destroyed even if a paper clip falls on it!!!

Such a sexy laptop, so good to see Apple-standard slick laptops. Still annoying that they have the two ugly stickers on it

Yeah, the stickers are kind of silly, but they come off. :-)
