  • killer tone, killer songs!

  • Bchamorro the pickups are the sc245 pickups unique and only placed in the sc245

  • opeth!! best band ever!! thats my dream set up. loved the vid!

  • Opeth - Bleak! best band ever

  • what pickups in this sc245?

  • The second too lol. I wasn't patient enough:) Really cool selection of opeth songs. Bleak is an all time favorite song of mine

  • yeah the first riff is The Funeral Portrait, the second is Bleak. Love me some 'Peth :D

  • Did you sell the guitar already? Let me know how much you want for it, i'm looking to either buy an SC-245 or trade some of my axes for it... let me know...BTW that's some good playing dude.

  • i traded it back in November

  • Oh ok, too bad for me. Great axe, i just wasn't a big fan of the colour but it sems like it sounded great. Thanks anyway...

  • @Moltisanti If you don't mind me asking why did you get rid of it?

  • @muzikscud23 - i prefer a longer scale length (the 245 is 24.5"), the 245s are weight relieved and I prefer the heavy ones, i think they have more balls :D

  • The beginning riff is opeth right??

  • how do you like this thing compared to an LP in all honesty? sounds killer man, how much are you selling it for also?

  • Personally I prefer PRS Singlecuts over Gibsons, but that's just me, go and try both and buy the one you prefer

  • Hey thanks for your response! I've tried the Gibsons, and i've played a couple prs's, just not the single cuts, and I have to say i've never heard a complaint about the quality of a prs... it is making me paranoid about getting a gibson, their just about in the same price range.

  • i've moved on the singlecut in this video, it was a great guitar but i just prefer double cuts. My Custom 24 has PLENTY of beef :D

  • How is the comfort level in palm muting between the fixed bridge in the sc 245 and the tremolo bridge in the custom 24? Any difference really?

  • it really depends on how you play, personally i didn't feel much difference, I could chug quite happily on both, but i prefer the feel of a doublecut. If you've never played a PRS try out out standing up, they're super comfy and easy to play :D

  • Finally someone who is actually good on YouTube, u deserve the guitar u play. Prs all the way

  • Would you mind sharing your EQ settings for this?Just go one of these ampsand would appreciate a nice Tool or Opeth sound.

  • it depends on the volume and your guitar, but for house volume, put everything at 12 o clock , then up the bass a little, leave the mids, take a bit out of the treble and a bit out of the presence, gain on 3/4

  • Thanks, I'll give that a try.

By the way, good playing and very nice guitar.

  • Great guitar, great band Opeth....i have an sc245 in grey/black, one from the first batch to enter the u.k. Best guitar i've ever owned in 30yrs of playing....i want another.

  • if you really want another one this one is actually for sale :D

  • @Moltisanti Sorry, already have one in grey/black....i'd like the new sc245 McCarty with the 57/08 p/ups and neck binding, looks superb.

  • nice Opeth lick!!!

    Bleak is a killer song...

  • and i need a PRS!!!

  • sounds pretty killer i need me an engl
