There was a Saturday Night Movie late night at 10:30 CST May of 1990 and the film No Way Out premeired on network tv. The intro like purplish backround with yellow lettering. Does anyone have the one I'm referring too? Please reply
I just heard that PREF1X Michael Jackson tribute someone just posted on this page. I thought it was spam but it was actually pretty good stuff! We need to share this song with everyone else. Don't add me but add the guy's video on my page!
Agreed! I found an old recording of National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation a few weeks back, with the intention of just watching a little bit of it, but I ended up watching the whole thing...
there was something cozy and relaxing about VHS, that really took the edge of things.

I remember this intro! But wasn't there a different theme to this?

Just imagine if this was the WABC 7 movie intro from WLS Chicago. It would be perfect.

I remember this open. What year did WLS-TV start using it?

@chgotvfan I think it was 1990. I remember "When Harry Met Sally" on it.

You really have to love the warmness of VHS quality.

I've never had a problem with it.

I was saying that as a compliment to the quality. It's very individual.

Since this intro debuted around 1990, it's probably from around that time. I think in 1998 or so, the theater marquee sequence was redone.

The music was a bit different from what WABC-TV in New York was using for this type of opening.
