Primate diet is 95% plants although known to kill monkeys but that is rare. Even in primates diet chart meat is not mentioned. They do eat insect and have used stick to reach them for protein but their main diet is fruits. Humans are not "natural" predators to the animals worlds actually you be the prey for wide varieties of carnivores. Carnivores do not kill other carnivores nor other true omniovers but they do kill plant eaters (us) and of course the plants eaters of the animal kingdom.

The main predator of deer is humans, without population control, they would be running all over our our highways. Think of how many innocent people die each year becouse a deer ran out in front of them. Mothers, fathers, children,Whole families. As long as hunting is controled and the deer is used for food. Then I feel nothing is wrong. I am not a hunter, Have never killed any animal, But know a lot of responsible hunters and have eaten plenty of deer meat.

How come in Calorado where 'hunting' is huge there seems to still be elk overpopulation and starvation?? Maybe its because animals like Elk and Deer and deliberatly populated for excuses to 'hunt' for recreational purpose plus 'hunters' 'have been killing off these animals natural predators ie wolves and coyotes. These animals kill off the sickly and leave the strong where else 'hunters' kill the healthy and/or the ones with the big rack.
