Andy is talented but he and Stewart are millionaire because of Sting and most of the "good songs" were written by Sting. I've even heard Stewart say this before.
On the album, the writing of the song is credited to Andy Summers (Lyrics and Music)with the lyrics and credited to Sting (Lyrics) and Andy Summers (Music) on the song listing. Which is correct, does anybody know?
The last song on revised Synchronicity album featured only Sting & Andy-Both provided the lyrics and music but Sting did add some extra writing to it...It's also one of the few songs in karaoke that I actually sang LOL!
dudes just shut up and enjoy the music a great band that everyone thought wasnt coming back ever is back nd this could be their last tour so just enjoy maybe their last hurrah
This tune is an underrated gem. It's not filler-it was the B-side of Every Breath You Take (remember 45's?). Finally, let's not forget that Andy wrote the music.
You guys are full of it. These guys are still great and of course they have changed their music. Their in their 50's and 60's for God sakes. I think Stings voice is better than ever. They told people way in advance that the music would be a bit different. And so far the fan and critic reviews have been awesome. Stewarts little comment was meant to be funny not critical.
It is so funny to read the crap some guys are writing!
Ever heard of a fusion of jazz and rock? This song originally kicked ass! I mean Zappa had Sting come on stage to play it!!!! It is not shitty song at all!
But i have to admit mostly due to stings powerless performance this version of the song stinks a little!
I have to agree that this is not even close to jazz at ALL! If you are interested in jazz check out Miles Davis or Oscar Peterson or Bill Evans. That is real jazz.
C'mon, you Police nerds! Are you alive? Wake up! "Muder By Numbers" IS a classic! Ever thought about the fact that Sting played for example "So Lonely" so often during the last 30 Years that he might be bored to death of it? I'd be very disappointed if they played only the big selling sh#t! I also want the cool Police tunes... "Jazz band"... come on! Go to a record story and a library and find out what Jazz is!
i hope they play so lonely. i beleive the tour promoters and record company have something to do with the set list. i dont mind hearing these songs but you gotta include classics. i dont even think they released murder as a single. i still cant wait to see them
I agree there's no excitement in the songs I was thinking of going to see them at Fenway park but now I've made up my mind after watching some of the videos.
Hope you went to the Fenway shows. I went to both shows and they were phenomenal.
I am amazed at how twenty years after they broke up they get together and can still blow away all the other bands. They closed with Next to You and ROCKED!!!!!
I was at the first-night of the two Fenway Shows (I'm in Framingham, keyboardist) and then exactly a year later at the Comcast Center in Mansfield. Loved it. Fan for life since the early 80s
They make two or 3 chords magic! Andy doesit! With his, King Krimsom clase of Police guitar!Almost disonant, but melody... is allways theare! Thank's For been together again!
Absolutely amazing concert! They played hard for a full hour and a half before doing three encores that included another 7 or 8 songs. The energy is still there and they are even better musicians now. Best concert I've seen in years!
@sinchronicity not quite true.....they remade Don't Stand in 86.

Sounds pretty disappointing to me. They've transposed songs down so low that they lose their zest. Thanks for posting, though.
