  • هو اول آخر یار

  • جمال مولا و درويشان مولا را عشق است

  • God bless his soul

  • such a beautiful man. in spirit, talent, and looks XD

  • سيد خليل عالي نژاد يك ابرمرد بود...

  • no one can ply this amazing instrument better than him. no one will ever be as good as him.

tambur is our religions instrument, none of use know what its histroy is. (have some recpect for tambur)

  • @noshy09 1) there are some masters like Ostad Taher, Aliakbar Moradi, darvish Golnazar, his teacher Amrollah Shah Ebrahimi and others that are /were really better than this. He was promising good but he had less time than those masters unfortunately.

    2) This magham (gol o har ) does not belong to the sacred repertory but is still traditional. Most of what he used to play in concert is a "pop" version of Tamireh (half way between persian and kurdish music with sufi lyrics).

  • please don't disgrace yourself you are just being foolish.

  • what you mine disgrace your baster?? you know who is this man...and you know what he did for tanbour

  • Esmeh in sher chyeh?

    Nazeriam ino khunde.

  • This is in the Magham (Modal system) of the Tanbur I believe, its called Yaarab!

Would be fantastic if someone posted the lyrics, thank you.

  • A True Tanbur Master, and icon for all the real Tanbur lovers.

    He will be missed

    Ya hagh!

  • how sad it is that you live in France and you are not tolerant of other people's expressions.

  • ahlean: I guess you have seen "haghighat" by mingling with charlatan Elahi sect:)

Ok, if you are into "fan", why you won't upload couple of those tranbour performances from your accepted master here in youtube and let the rest of viewers judge themselves about the quality and authenticity.

  • You must be deaf.

  • please plaese get over the countries name. enjoy the music. borders are just lines set by us. Turks Kurds Fars who ever live in those lands share lots of things but they are different as well. We have to respect each other no matter what and stop the fight to prove who is better. there is no answer to that we are all good people. Music is something to keep us united and friend.

  • Turk should thanks Kurds billion of times because Kurds showed Turks how to play music and dance instead of killing people.

Turks! Just listen to your nomadic music before you arrived at north Kurdistan called Turkey and compare these two totally different music. But Turks have no ability to learn, and it is why they do not respect other cultures. But the European union will step by step teach them how to become more human etc. We hope Turks make it in the end.

  • All of these people trying to claim all instruments get very tiresome. The word tanbur is very old. Sumerian is not a Turkic language, it's affiliation is uncertain.

  • The only ones who have "proven" Sumerian to be turkic are people who "want" it to be Turkic. It has certain features in common (agglutination). It also has very different features, such as ergativity and gender, which occur in no Turkic language, modern or ancient. There are also no cognates with Turkic languages. I'm not Kurdish, I'm part Greek, and get accused by more facist Greeks of being "pro-Turkish" all the time cause I don't believe the Byzantines did everything and the Turks nothing. :)

  • "Proven?" :) Even if Turkic and Sumerian were part of a Turanian language family, you would be saying something similar to: "Anglo-Saxon is part of Indo-European. Hindi is also Indo-European, therefore Hindi is Anglo-Saxon." This kind of nationalistic "science" comes from folks who presented the Güneş Dil Teorisi, articles in the 90s "proving" that Kurdish was also a Turkic language because it was a S-O-V language (as is Persian), and who now claim that the Native Americans are Turks. Yeter be..

  • And isn't he singing in Luri? I'm sorani so I can't be sure, but it sounds like kurdish. Is there even the word "didekem" in Farsi. BIJI KURD O KURDISTAN!!!

  • Could you put on the translation of this beautiful song in Farsi or English for me please??? (I really appreciate it)

  • Turkish instrument? We all see that turks haven't got a culture, even the "turkish" saz/ baglama is just tanbur in a bigger scale.Stupid turks!!!!

  • Turks can't read, therefore they know nothing about history. Its basic knowledge that the tanbour is an ancient Iranian/Kurdish instrument. Turks have the Baglama Saz, which is for sure similar but is a little bit larger and has a noticable sound difference.

  • There is nothing as original Turkish music instrument , all are from old Persia. Though there have been many modifications of those original music instruments in some arabic countries as well Turkey.

When it comes to Tanbour , mostly Kurds in countries like Iran , Iraq and Turkey play it. Interestingly Arabs and Turks also claim Ud is their music instrumnet, while historical facts shows its been developed in Persia as Barbat.

  • Is always an pleasure to listening the wisdom the follower's the profect Mahomed and the readers by holy ALCOORÃO.

  • you idiots and nonmusician bastards cannot understand anything about great turkish music and even also about any kind of music. you say "not here"? did you buy youtube while i was sleeping; fuckin' stupid?

  • yeah...you're really rude...now you show me a proof the guy (or lady) who first made Tanbour was Turkish. I bet you have the same idea about Mevlana Rumi, huh? And... alexemami was reffering to this area of youtube which Seyed Khalil's performance is being shown. So, calmdown and be quiet.

  • hey turki boy. How dare you say these words connecting to this video. Seyed Khalil Alinejad is not something you just spit on, do you understand? Go and say stupid words somewhere else you Turkish moron. Anywhere else, but not here. ^^

I was on his 5-year anniversary during his death.

  • thanks for posting this video. May peace be with Sayed Khalil, I'm sure he is playing Tanbour in heaven for the angels.

  • To "saricizmelimehmetaga": from your wording it shows your depth of knowledge about Tanbour. I'm sure your made Turkish people proud.

  • iranian kurdish huh? tanbur is a real TURKISH instrument. neither iranian nor kurdish. fuckin' stupids. even you cannot play it ...
