  • I saw this film when I was around 10 years old and ever since I haven't stopped loving it. I am now 17, a Film student, and this is definitely one of the most beautiful films I have ever seen. Luc Besson is such an inspiration even thought I don't have much similarities with him when it comes to stylistics or themes.

Great director, great actors, great scenery - GREAT FILM.

  • @ArlaAabbaOfficial If you think this is a great film then you are a smart kid :) Hopefully we will see something comparable from yourself many years later rather than most of the "shit" churned out these days!. Good luck :)

  • Always wanted to know what the drug he was taking. It's weird seeing oldman go so over the top with this performance and then be so measured and reserved in Tinker, Tailor, Solider, Spy. Speaking of excellent performances Chris Evans was surprisingly good in Puncture, and Puncture is surprisingly excellent in it's own regard. EEVVVVERRRRYYYYYONE Should see it.

  • she wants to avenge her brother, but stansfield doesnt kill her brother it was one of his bodyguards "willie" with his machine gun, so leon already avenges this half way through the film when he shoots "willie". glad leon got stansfield at the end though with his grenades

  • 1:48 XD

  • corny trailer,BUT it's definitely on my top 5 movies of all time.

  • 1:48 haha couldnt stop laughing. Trying to brush on movies i've never seen that is supposed to be good. Anyone got any suggestions? 2000s and 1990s movies preferably. Found this movie on top 100 imdb

  • I love this movie ! So beautiful !

  • @headphoner955 in the movie it is shown that the little girl starts to laugh to a very silly joke by leon when her four year brother just gets killed......how can she be so cold....doesn't she have any love to mourn the death of his brother.....this doen't make any sense.......

  • @avi4francis Umm, what ? Everyone mourns in different ways. Besides, she's laughing with tears streaming down her face, how can you claim she doesn't have any love for her brother ? Haven't you ever laughed when you were sad, or cried when you were happy ? Death is confusing, especially for a child. I'm sure it was the first time in her life someone actually cared enough about her to try and make her feel better, and that must have felt wonderful. Your statement is absurd.

  • they just dont make them like they used too

  • I like the main villain in this film, though I'd like to know what drug he was taking. He'd swallow these pills and then just writhe.

  • just watched this movie last night and I LOVED it!!! one of the best movies out there. =)

  • The trailer didn't fit the movie at all but the movie was wonderful

  • Director's Cut > All

  • one of the most epic movies ever

my father watched this movie when i was 12... of course a littlie disturbing, but nevertheless its one of the best movie ever made... my fav, and sure the transporter is amzing, but this and the 5th element are the best movies ever... without Forrest Gumpf

  • Im buying this movie for boxing day :D

  • hahaha this trailer.

  • "No Women, No Kids" what a load, every hitman knows their mark was once a kid, so doesn't matter how old or what gender they are. Still, the hanging upside down with two guns was pretty cool.

  • Does anyone know the symphony at the end? Sounds pretty cool.

  • Plus, not once did he touch her, not once did he look at her with lust. The plant was used to symbolise his relationship with her. Which is y he showed concern for her future n asked tony 2 give her his money.Plus extra was added to show it, 1) no touch or look in lust 2) his discomfort with her sexual advances, which would be typical for a girl in that extreme situation 3) he considered killing her 4) the cop touched her with lust this differentiated lust from his caring.

  • 2 all the dumb fucks thinking Leon had sexual feelings for her, typical dumb pricks only see in black n white. Tell me this did Leon wanna fuck his plant? NO! Well same for his feeling for mathilda, he felt responsible for her. This movie delves into relationship n to complex for dumb people. He felt responsible for her n had no sexual feelings. He was a lonely guy n she gave him something to live for. This is y an emphasis was placed on his caring for his plant.

  • This film deserves a million thumbs up nonetheless!

  • Two thumbs up for this film. A tip of the hat nonetheless goes to the people who made this film possible.

  • Watched this masterpiece for the first time just today, and it's amazing! Natalie Portman showing all her talent from the very beginning, now we can explain even better how she deserved that Oscar. And Jean Reno was perfect! Awesome movie!

  • Lost stole Leon's whole look when they designed ben linus (just am now watching the show)

  • everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • love love love

  • Doraleon: The professional

  • I was about 7 months along in my mother's womb when this movie came out. I saw this movie when I was 6. When I shouldn't have watched the movie because my father was asleep and it was on TV. HAHAHAHAHA...

  • I don't change this French masterpiece with all the action movies made in USA in the last.......10 years.

  • Did that Hitman want a sexual relationship with that little Girl??? Thats a sick and twisted movie.....

  • @EngleSackJus Watch the movie, then make your comments...

  • @EngleSackJus Sounds like you didn't bother watching the movie.

To me it looked more like father-daughter... well, assasin-father and wanna-be-assasin-daughter.

  • this mivie is sick , one of my fave ones. this is the only movie that makes me cry

  • 19 people who watched this are crooked cops!

  • Gary Oldman deserved an Oscar nomination.

  • classic music and a pumpgun ...Stansfield is THE vilain! :) ...cheers

  • GREAT TRAILER to a GREAT MOVIE... easily in my top 3! <3

  • EHHVERYYONEEE!!!

  • Is it true that there is a deleted scene where Natalie Portman gives him a sloppy gagging blowjob while fingering his butthole?

  • @sivazh You do realize that Natalie is 12 years old in this, right? If so, then you're sick.

  • this movie made me realize that Jean Reno will be the best choice for splinter cell movies.

  • is this natalie portman?

  • @marvelousandposh yes... and she is from Israel, a RAT (jew)

  • Got milk ?

  • love how one of the prime sources of tension/conflict in this film is the fact it stars like the world's most uncomfortably, unbearably fuckable little kid ever, you just watch it cursing yourself haha

  • Great movie. The part Matilda wanted to have sex with Leon shocked me tho

  • Just finished the movie

  • Gary Oldman is unique here, i plays such a mean man here (and often do in movies), but still, I LOVE HIM. And, Gary's eyes are the bluest eyes I eve seen. Love Gary Oldman

  • I've watched this movie countless times! i know every single dialogue !!! Its awesomeeeeeeeeeeee.............a true master piece , so beautifully told

  • This is definitely my favourite movie of all time. And people, you should understand why Leon is the professional that he is in this movie. He gave his own life so someone else could live and develop theirs. He worked hard to protect them. And he avenged them, too.

  • What a piece of art

  • evvverrrrryyyonnneeeeee

  • Natalie portman was like 13 or 14 in this movie. Good god, what an actress.

  • an art action film !

  • a cinematic masterpice !

  • EEEEEEEEEEEVVVVVERRRRRRRYYYYYYYYYYYY OOOOOOONNNNNNNEEEEEEE!!!

  • Yeah he dies right cos i remember holding my chest in pain, sad moment i was like nine watching this on BBC2, the movie came out in 1994 i think i was like 2 when it came out.

  • Havnt seen this in years this is how you make a movie

  • Easily ny favourite film of all time!

  • I wanna fuck that bitch

  • @WKaliberr "why don't you take a seat"

  • Beautiful movie.

  • Pedo hell no this movie was the shit. It was even sad. He took her in. Now that movie hanna thats a fucking pedo movie. 12 year old calling each other hoe. Sneak out with 19yr old, playing footsey i felt like a pedo watching them in the bed.

  • daaaammnn this movie was sooo sad!!!

  • Pedo movie. To slow. Sometime they drink milk for 5 minutes wuthout saying anything. Boring. And the bad guy was psyco

  • you know what it will be realy cool, that Natalie Portman do the The profecional part 2, but needs to be a realy good story like that same movie

  • So epic the way they used the same theme song from "La Femme Nikita" in the beginning. Not to mention ironic as well. ;)

  • Was this movie directed by Roman Polanski? It seems like the whole pedo aspect of this movie is some sort of wet dream of his.

  • @mike3421100 Directed by Luc Besson.

  • Gary Oldman, once again, aces his movie role.

  • Great movie it was very original and doesnt rely on cinematics to make its money. Hollywood needs to go back to these type of great movies.

  • @lonnie727 I sooo agree!! I'm starting a blog that features a bunch of classic films as well as new because im trying to build a good repetoire of film knowledge. Once enough people start following im defininetly going to start raising awareness of actually good films (like this one) so people will stop giving in to the big studios and seeing the trash they have in theatres now. check it out: cinemascopenow.blogspot.com/

  • @lonnie727 too bad it wasn't actually hollywood who made this movie.

  • Personally, this is one of the best movies i've ever seen. I was about 9 or 10 when I first saw, but I keep coming back to it and watch it again ever so often. One, this movie is not something normally found in all those other bullshit movies with robots(transformers), and blue people(avatar)...This movie is unique and very well written. So for those tasteless bastards hating on this movie. FUCK YOU.!!!

  • @jess16saint Well said mate !

  • @jess16saint nice mate...I was also like 11 or 12 when i first saw it...Do you know any action movie nowdays that is similar to this one?

  • @asd45043 To be honest..No, I don't know any recent action movies that are quite as good as back then ;( greets.

  • @jess16saint Fuck you ya little nigger Transformers and Avatar were the two best FUCKING movies to EVER grace humanity you little unintelligent shit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @JamaicanBoy41 You're a patethic idiot.. I am not even black so why call me nigger? And mmm by the way you praise those movies like they were your life. Go get laid or shove something up your ass ( a dildo to be precise).

  • @jess16saint you Fucking racist cracker you cant use the N-word get out of here wanna be hitler. asswipe of society

  • @jess16saint Cant agree more. THIS IS A MASTER PIECE!

  • @Funtasmia in the movie it is shown that the little girl starts to laugh to a very silly joke by leon when her four year brother just gets killed......how can she be so cold....doesn't she have any love to mourn the death of his brother.....this doen't make any sense.......stupid direction......

  • @jess16saint its just a fuckn movie you dumb ass

  • @jess16saint well put i agree...i seen this movie as a kid and just saw it and my mind is fuckin BLOWN

  • 1:47 eeeeeeeeeVeeeeeRRRRYYYYYYone!!!!!!!! lmao

  • WHAT THE FUCK. This was the most horrible disastrous piece of shit excuse for a piece of shit movie. HOW THE FUCK can anyone find this shit anything less than morally and ethically reprehensible is beyond me. It was boring, the characters were fucking retarded and a better script could have been written by a coalition of mental patients. Natalie Portman should give her oscar back for ever appearing in such a despicable attempt at film-making. This movie made life a little less worth living.FUCK

  • @Lukeovitch even worse than Phantom Menace? Nothing's worse than Phantom Menace.

  • @Lukeovitch The most ignorant comment I have ever read on the internet, and explains more about how you are then anything else LoL have a nice day Sir

  • @BergurPetur how was that comment ignorant you pretentious douche the person clearly saw the movie and stated their opinion, which is what the whole fucking point of commenting on videos is. and its "lol" or "LOL"

  • @bassplayer1617 haha Yes I agree with you...and that is my opinion also, I also think it's funny that you are foaming from the mouth because of this, and thank you for the correction, have a nice day Sir

  • @Lukeovitch are you a lifeless troll or are you being serious? this movie is unique, it may seem amoral and all that, but that shows the producers and writers took a risk, and the movie is pretty underrated imo. just cause it depressed your tasteless and condescending ass, doesn't make it a bad movie. at all.

  • @frankylovesyall That'd be freaking awesome!

  • Gary Oldman's best performances:

    1.Leon: The Professional

    2.State of Grace

    3.True Romance

Truly one of the greatest actors our time.

  • @TrueArtEntertainment you're failing to mention Sid and Nancy, and Basquiat. Therefore you know dick about movies.

  • EVERYONEEEEEEE!!!!

  • what s the name of that piece of music??? please tell me if you know!!!

  • and that child later become "SALT"

  • haha is that jauqe de blance? sorry i dont know how to spell his name lol

  • Great movie. It's a tragedy so don't expect to be happy at the end.

  • They should make "Mathilda: The Professional" with Natalie of course =D. it's not impossible.

  • @xtelltalex true that, it would be interesting

  • Sweet movie,

but the ending is in so many movies & its such bullshit. The protagonist(s) are being surrounded by swat or w/e & with no more than a couple minutes manage to take off someone's excessive gear & slip into it. That shit would take a good minute just to take off the clothes of someone unconscious.

The mythbusters need to bust that shit

  • Stan: "Benny, everyone loves this movie."

Benny: "What do you mean eveyone?"

    Stan: "EEEEVERYYYONE!"

  • I'm gonna get some more milk..... and kick some ass!

  • Lol Gary Oldman remembers me the head director of my high-school!

  • This is an all time masterpiece!!!

  • press 7 for a free , EEEEEVEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRYYYYYYYOOOOOOOOOOOONEEEE

  • I have done a tribute to Gary Oldman in this film set to Beethoven's 'Ode to Joy'. It's on my channel. As @colmhearne said, he should have got an Oscar for it.

  • I dont have time....FOR YOUR MICKY MOUSE BULLSHIT!!!

  • Gary Oldman should've gotten an Oscar for his performance in this movie.

  • Mathilda: The Professional 2 NOW!

  • Great film

  • Oh god do I love Gary old an in this movie. He is so FUCKING hot.

  • @DinaKtvn Grammar?

  • Natalie portman should make a sequel.!!

    I love this movie!:))

  • I think Gary Oldman and Jean Reno never thought that little girl would win a Academy Award before them.

  • @Valiand GOOD POINT!!!

  • @Valiand that little girl is natalie portmanby the way

  • @charlie98333 I think that was kinda the point of the comment :P That they never expected Natalie Portman to grow up to be such a talented actress

  • @Valiand kinda goes to show what little importance the academy awards are.... Forrest Gump won over shawshank....Crash won over Brokeback....dances with wolves won over Goodfellas...

  • @JezaLoki Dances with Wolves > Goodfellas

  • @Mankemacho Dances With Wolves better than Goodfellas? Anyone else agree with this?

  • @JezaLoki no way in hell :/

  • @MRBowersPDX

Thanks for the info! : D

  • 1:50 im sorry, I didnt get that - who would you like me to bring? haha

  • TOOOOOOOOODDDDDDDDOOOOOOOOOOSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!

  • WELL MAYBE ....NOW THAT SHE HAS WON HER OSCAR THEY CAN FINALLY DO THE SEQUEL....WHAT WE BEEN WAITING FOR ...FOR SO LONG...ANYONE ELSE AGREE WITH ME????

  • @tat3001

And what the fuck would the sequel be about?

Leon is dead, Stanfield is dead, her family was avenged and she chose to try and live a normal life at the end. Story is over, move along.
