Ok This was in a lesson no-body was riding recklessly. Wizzie had her wizzie moments when she happend to be pointing towards a jump with fillers that she didn't want to jump. As soon as the fillers were pulled out she was fine. This was after we all had a 3 or 4 week break from riding of course it wasn't going to be perfect.

I would hardly say whisper is going at full speed or murphy or joy. and Wizzie onlky was when she had her wizzie moments

Tell mom to quit giving you quarters for the carousel--it's warping you.

None of these riders are being reckless, none of the horses are going particularly fast, and they all look well-controlled. Sure, they have some moments where the horses aren't cooperating, but nothing that looks unsafe or like they're incapable--just a little rusty from a few weeks off.

Sometimes horses refuse because they're being bad--you shouldn't quit jumping because of it, or it teaches them how to get out of work.

Well, what I have to say to LimeGreenPony's question, and in response to LulitalnPita...

You live in the UK right, dabyg? United States riders & UK riders [Sorry if I'm offending..] were taught different. I've noticed it alot, actually. Where riders in the US are taught to squeeze and kick only when really needed, UK riders usually kick alot more. It's just a country thing, I guess.

Yeah i agree with that i work at a riding stables in the UK and we generally also don't use spurs in riding schools, as we just had a new instructor start from amaerica and she said its very different how we do thing.

The only thing I really don't like about your riding (all of u) is that u kick instead of squeezing. It makes me sick when I see people kick their horses, it will also will help u to stay on the horse when he refuses rofl :]

ok for your information we all squeze first and u cant really tel from these clips if we squeeze. + You dont know what the ponies are like you dont know if they are dead lazy or very energetic. And i know for a fact when whisper stops dead squeezing wont help.

ok, did u ever tried to use spurs? and usually when a horse don't listen a poke with the whip near where ur leg rests is helpfull.

And btw - we also have lazy horses in my barn and these are the only way to make them move.
