I have a basett/pekingese mix who looks like a basset just shorter ears..I love these orn-ship smelling dogs!! The bassett is the best and most loyal dog!

I just got a basset hound puppy named Molly :) she's tricolored but she loves to get my chickens xD so annoying. do any of you know how to get them to behave?

No, they do what they want. You have to relax and have a good sense of humor to live with one. I have a Molly also.

Be persistent! Hounds are very stubborn and usually take longer to train especially when it involves food.

hahaha, you can't 'get' a basset to behave, just luck, and a lot of compromising :P To be honest they arn't stupid, they are just too smart for thier own good :)
