@hawickman What? The Declaration Of Arbroath was not an exercise in democracy. Monarchy is not a democracy and the delaration recognised the divine right of kings and god, Thats not really democracy. A big part of democracy is, separation of church and state and leaders democraticly elected by the people, not the rule of kings and churches. The only freedom it talks of is Scotlands freedom from English rule (which is all good) but it dose not talk of freedom for the people.
