AN IDEAL STRONGEST FORM OF DEMOCRACY INCLUDED (See Subchapter 3.1.2.1, Chapter 3, of Part One.).
@shazlionusa So they were freemasons (you can't even spell it...), so what? Freemasonry gave the world Democracy and it's only mocked with somewhat credible information by those who couldn't join and are jealous. Lay off with the conspiracy theories and get a life, don't talk about subjects who can't spell or hope to understand. You want to live under a dictator? Go then, then we'll see if you complain about the FREEmasonry or if you ask them for help.
We are not only watching the Muslims getting back their God given freedom and flushing their pharaohs down the sewage of history, we are also witnessing the American empire being shredded piece by piece. LOL
@iplaydrumsnguitar Cenk talked about the principles, and principles are only principles when put into action, and John Locke did not overthrow the British Crown or write a Constitution. The "idea" of democracy was actually started over 2500 years ago in ancient Greece and the Mediterranean region, I don't get how you can atribute so much importance to Locke.
The Internet is being used to revolutionize societies. Tell your Congressman to rewrite the “Employee Freedom of Choice Act” so it uses the Internet to allow workers to request and conduct union votes DIRECTLY with the NLRB. Truly secret votes where employers can’t identify and fire organizers. Force employers to bargain with unions 30 days after a successful vote. Bring in an arbitrator 30 days later if no contract is in place. In 2012 VOTE for Obama, House & Senate majorities and pass it!
Americans dont know any history, dictators like those in Egypt, pakistan, Saudi, and all others were forced upon Muslims or financed by the british and french when they conquered muslim lands durring ww1-2, so when you have Terorist like bin Ladin attacking you, the reason is obvious get your dictators out of their countries!!!
Such a hypocrite.. this guy criticizes other people for the "mistakes" he made in this video. This was complete BS. Patriotist asshole. Seriously.. theres a limit in everything.
Wow, the shit hand Q-tips have been revolting... hmm, the muslim brotherhood must be doing a good job planning out these dusty nuts riots... Now they have an extremist country... watch out for super terrorism. Wiping their asses with their left hands... I guess those 'lefties' been throwing thier shit like sand gorillas. Hell, they're so backwards, I'm surprise haven't reverted to cannibalism, and if so, they'd better clean their victim's left hand, otherwise... Disgusting dune chimps
It is yet to be seen if Egypt becomes the first Arab democracy in the world, or is plunged into civil war only to emerge as another Islamic dictatorship.
So far we have only seen rioting, looting and the gang rape of Lara Logan
watch?v=RhdfiSApP2k
Unfortunately, odds are that any “Arab democracy” will be hijacked by the Muslim Brotherhood or other radicals, using coercive voting tactics or fraud to bring into power an Islamic dictatorship such as Hamas in Gaza or Hezbollah in Lebanon.
What hypocrisy!! Your founding fathers that you are proud of were racists that owned slaves & ethnically cleansed a whole population & civilization of native Americans!!
what is he talking about. USA preaching for human right and democracy, at the same time supporting dictators like Mubarak and Shah of Iran who are responsible for millions of tortures, and misruling the nations.
USA should support people in favor of democracy not the dictators against innocent people. I love USA, do not get me wrong. Help Iranians to over throw
Ahmadi negad and Khamenai, the 2 terrorist and anti humanity.
Americans had nothing to due with what happened in Egypt. I love how America has the need to try and grab anything they can to call it there own... Pathetic
Freedom is not an american value neither needs lables or references, it can stand by it self. Truly free people don't need to be told how free they are.
Cenk you're my boy but... I bet the last thing on the Egyptians' minds during their revolution "Wow, I'm sure Thomas Paine would be proud of us right now" Not every good thing that happens in the world is because of america.. If i'm not mistaken, didn't the AMERICAN gov't back Mubarak?
In Reality, AMERICA'S MEDIA IS FULLY CONTROLLED BY US GOVERNMENT (By Pentagon, State Department, By the US Gov Media Propaganda Centre called "Broadcasting Board of Governors", By Neocons & Zionists getting paid by the Gov, By Military Industrial Complex, by Corporations Paid with your Tax-Payer Money by the Gov)
US Gov has a Media Propaganda Arm just like Goebbels, this decides everything you see on TV..
You fucktards are dumb. He isn't aruging in the literal sense that the US patented an idea, but rather that it was the first to implement this current form of liberal democracy. If your trying to get technical than be sure to give due credence all the way back to Hammurabi. Understand the underlying point for a liberal democracy, with rights for people, a leadership that emmanates from the people, and a right to depose those who usurp that power.
" but rather that it was the first to implement this current form of liberal democracy." . . . Either way he's completely wrong and simply pandering to the patriotic idiots. . . faux news anyones?
It things like this which are the EXACT reason the TYT fanbase is "worried" (not quite sure thats the right word to use) about cenk on msnbc.
trust me, no one in egypt was thinkin about your founding fathers. how about reminding capital hill that supports such dictators about the founding fathers. DEMOCRACY IS NOT AN AMERICAN PRODUCT!!
Cenk, I hate to break it to you, but the founding fathers are all dead. Their smiling days have mostly been over for 200 years. Let's say we just take up their rationalist mantle and eschew the magical references....whaddya say?
A Win for America ??? the only thing the America Founded is dictatorial regimes just like it was in Egypt. Such a moron that actually believes what he says...
Please Spread This Message: Dear World, If you want to help Egyptians please come to Sharm ElSheikh or Hurghada and enjoy few days there. Its 100% Safe.
Because, as we know, America is the only 'free' country in the world, and every other country that achieves relative freedom is only copying them. *Sigh*
Democracy, at its core, was invented by our race: Humanity. This is the true power of our race. not the violence and wars we create, but the words and ideologies we aspire to be.
Means that the ideology of freedom is the core of all humanity, and that democracy is the sword of which freedom empowers it. Freedom is not (and should not be) limited to the privileged few, it is the right of all sentient beings.
@Dethonator where do you get your statistics? They sound made up... besides, any greek 20+ male citizen had the right to vote. and as for being a citizen, you only had to be born of a male greek citizen who did his mandatory military service at age 20. So it makes sense, if you were born of a foreigner or a foreign slave then why would you be a citizen? sounds pretty fair to me.
check your facts before you start an internet argument.
"A win for America, the idea of America" - This was not a win for America, this was a win for the people of Egypt. "The idea of freedom is Universal" ... So stop putting the American name-tag on it as though it is an American concept. I think it's great that Americans show such patriotism, I really do. However, I think it's sickening that Americans take credit for the courageous actions of other nations.
i cant belive i'm going to defend america like this but.......
in case you dont know america was the first nation since Rome to be made on these principles, we inspired the french revolution and now the Egyptian one. Cenk is not saying americans should take credit for the revolution he's saying that its great that the principles we built america on has now taken root in the middle east.
@millitantatheist1 What an ignorant claim to make that America inspired an Egyptian revolution. This was not inspired by a decadent, gluttonous country such as America, this was inspired by the years of hardship these people endured. Cenk is not saying American's should take credit, you're right, because he has already taken credit on the behalf of America. It's great to be supportive of other nations, but it's outlandish, and utterly disgusting to claim this as "A win for America"
@Its2point i don't mean that we actively inspired Egypt , i'm saying that the principles in which America was founded inspired Egypt, and it is actually "A win for America"- the Arabic soul of the middle east just peacefully threw off their dictator and this benefits America.
America inspired Egypt the same way Greece inspired America. if you have trouble with this statement perhaps you should think if you actually disagree or are biased.
@millitantatheist1 The principles that America was founded upon are not American principles. They are principles that were adopted by America, there is a difference. Your reasoning behind Mubarak's 'dethroning' being a win for America is arbitrary. You can just as easily say it's a win for Western Society. Or all NATO tied nations for that matter. Again, the few bigoted American's thinking the world revolves around them and creating a negative stereotype of their nation for the rest of the world
@Its2point America was the first country since the Rome to be founded on these principles and while it is technically true that Greece invented democracy in our modern time and until pretty recently America was considered indicative of such freedoms, thus its easier to assume that Egypt was more inspired by America than Greece.
yes, it is a win for NATO and western society, it being a win for America as it is not mutually exclusive.
@millitantatheist1 I'm not sure if you've been misled, but you continue to try and explain which country inspired Egypt. My original standpoint is that no single country inspired the people of Egypt and that their inspiration was forged from the decades of endured hardship under Mubarak's lead. Yes America was founded upon these principles you clearly hold so high, however paper and practice are two different things and history shows 100 years before African Americans were given their freedom.
@Its2point he's talking in the sense of the ideals that founded america. That the revoltion in egypt is a win for those ideals. From the veiw point of an american that hears of threats of death from the middle eastern area because of such ideals a revolution like this is a win to what the core of america believes in. This is merely a congratultions not a taking of credit for it.
@Its2point i agree they think they are the only democracy when they hardly know what their goverment does. they get to a point where everything is shit but them it is like too much. and for such a country who loves freedom why did they end the slavery at after the civil war when all the country who got their freedom from spain did it when they got their indepence and that is 50 years! after america was born
@Its2point youmadbro? We are undoubtedly THE most powerful, most important, and most crucial nation in the world. I'm not just saying this because I am an American, if it were true for any other nation, I'd still admit it. But America is the supreme power and that will not change. Stop with the silly jealousy.
@wwwpwndcom Thanks for reiterating my point, again another pompous minority creating a negative stereotype for their own nation. As for your point about America being a supreme power and that it will never change... History has repeatedly shown otherwise.
@wwwpwndcom im from texas and your an idiot. How can u think that America will allways be in power? Do you know how much world history your disregarding with that statement? Thats such a stupid statement... How can you type and spell so well when you have a 3rd grade grasp of reality? I mean how could you believe that??? especially in our economy today.... You do realize that China owns us right? PEOPLE LIKE YOU SHOULDN'T BE ALLOWED TO VOTE. OR TALK IN ANY PUBLIC FORUM. your such a sheep
@wwwpwndcom i have dyslexia. but really the fact that your going to attack spelling rather then defend your ridicules statement goes to show how much of a worthless stupid sheep you are. America is going down we are stretched to thin and you and i will be witness to the fall of our empire.
History proves that no civilisation or empire lasts for ever.
Speaking personally apart from the landscape I can't think of a single reason to move from Europe to America. Your political system is owned and run by the zionists and corporations, you police are trigger happy, you penal system is draconian and your sense of cohesive society is non existent.....social democracy is pretty much a dirty word.
@Its2point The Freedom of Egypt or any Muslim country is a loss for America and the Extremist patriots would tell you so... The freedom of Muslims means no more looting of resources of the middle east by the west, means the destruction of the saudi puppet kings, and all other dictators, means the end of Israely Harassment of palestinians, and it means the re-emergence of a united and free Muslim community.
The fact that a bunch of kids managed to organize this and defeat the entire government as well as the infamous secret police of Egypt is beyond amazing.
I like Cenk but I think he completely lost me on this one. What happened in Egypt has nothing to do with the founding fathers, but instead the strength, courage & resilience of the Egyptian people...What happened in Egypt was truly a people's revolution, & I salute Egypt for that. Egypt should be an example to US, not the other way round. Americans are screwed over by their government everyday but I don't see people in the streets...I'm not an Egyptian, but I'd be proud to be after what they did
Unsubbing from TYT after watching this, This is utter trash, America's one of the main enemies of the Egyptian people, not their friends. Imperialism is not friendly!
Actually if the same thing happens here in the US and we have a total destruction of the federal government, THAT is a win. All politically based systems of government are immoral. Unregulated capitalism is the only moral way for men to deal with each other. Cenk is a statist whose goal is enslavement of the produces to the will of the non-producers. Any talk on his part of liking freedom is laughable.
The civil war had nothing to do with freeing slaves. It was about rejoining the union so the wealthy industrialists of the North could exploit black labour and purchase southern land.
"I am not now, nor ever have been in favor of bringing about in any way the social or political equality of the white & black races. I am not in favor of making voters or jurors of Negroes, nor of qualifying them to hold office, nor of intermarriages with white people. There is a physical difference between the white & black races which will forever forbid the two races living together on social or political equality. I am in favor of assigning the superior position to the white man"
@halcyon0830 It's likely that he felt similarly, but these are also the words of a politician. Politicians are likely to say what their constituents want to hear. What matters most, are his actions. The Emancipation Proclamation and the ending of legalized slavery in the United States.
@halcyon0830 What on earth are you talking about? The North had plenty of cheap IMMIGRANT labor to exploit! The Civil War was about stomping down on this terrorizing, blowhard menace to the south called the C.S.A., and avoid humiliation in front of the world.
HOW COME NAZI USA GOV NEVER HAS TO APOLOGIZE FOR THE MILLIONS OF INNOCENT PEOPLE IT HAS KILLED IN ALL THE WARS IT HAS WAGED.
AMERICANS KILLED MILLIONS OF INNOCENT PEOPLE IN JAPAN, LATIN AMERICA, SOUTH AMERICA, EUROPE, GERMANY, IRAQ, AFGHANISTAN, PAKISTAN, LEBANON, ALL THE PEOPLE ISRAEL HAS SLAUGHTERED WAS KILLED WITH AMERICAN WEAPONS.

wait with all the praises, the military has taken over now for atleast 6 months (most likely longer), and who knows where the country will go. Fingers crossed!
Ron Paul IS THE ONLY CANDIDATE who can get Conservatives, Libertarians, Moderates, Liberals, Progressives, Democrats, Republicans, Independents, all of them to Vote for him.
The Neocons, Fascists, Zionists, War Hawks & Corporate Criminals would much rather have Obama in Whitehouse rather than Ron Paul. They would gladly join with the democrats along with the mainstream media if it came down to it. The game is so rigged in a hopeless way. Israel's Diebold has all voting machines rigged. RIOT NOW.
Do Americans not know that their govenment does not stand for real democracy? Most dictators in the Arab world are supported by the American and Israeli governments and are American puppets. America does not want Arab countries to be democratically independant because it would mean America & Corporations would lose their influence over these countries. Now that Egypt has overthrown their US puppet dictator, watch USA, Israel, Mossad, NATO, Oil Corps and CIA try to INSTALL a New Puppet Dictator.
ugg.. I'm losing my lunch here! I'm an american, but these constant references to the founding fathers as guys who 'invented' the idea of liberty and self governance - these ideas go back to athens, rome, the magna carta etc - make me sick! its this blinkered navel gazing view that history didn't exist before 1776 and that any effort at people power around the world is due to america is the reason why americans are seen as idiots by intelligent people around the world. I expect better Cenk
Well said, Cenk. Even with the future of Egypt so very uncertain, the here and now was something that rung with ideals of human freedom. For those that had trouble figuring out what Cenk has said, watch the video again with the closed captioning on.
Good speech but I don't think he left Turkey for ideology. People generally leave here to make money, to get a job. Well, well done to you Cenk for romanticizing your position in America.
Wow, you mad, Cenk? First of all, how can you possibly be so egotistical as to turn what is happening in Egypt into anything that has ever happened in the US? Oh, right, you're American, therefore, it's always all about you. Second, if it IS anything about the US, it's about how much the U.S. does, and has, always failed miserable in terms of international diplomacy. A peaceful, Egyptian revolution has proven that the US Iraq invasion was a big waste of lives and money - end of story for you.
The Muslim Brotherhood is hardly Hamas or the Taliban. Think of them like a little more hardline versions of say the Christian Democrats in Germany. Sure, they're islamic in the same way that the CDP is christian, but they're certainly not crazy about it.
MayB newer immigrants to the US hold on more dearly to these American ideals that R propagated all around the word. More so than American generations that take them 4Granted.
New immigrants now tyranny & corruption when they C it. & they know that FREEDOM & JUSTiCE R worth fighting 4*
This is exactly why the US annyos the entire world. The US government pisses on freedom and democracy worldwide, but then, when people anywhere in the world risk their lifes for their freedom and stand up against a dictator supported by the US and when they win their revolution, some americans come across and claim credit for "their" founding fathers and "their" principles? Pathetic!
@13otany13ay I think you missed the point.....he was saying that our founding fathers would be for democracy, freedom anywhere. He's using that as a point because the fanatical right continuously use them for their propoganda and he's pointing out the hypocracy in that. Hate/Love America we started something great 100s of years ago and that should be admired by others. It's sad where we are now....but that's a revolution we need I guess when things get bad enough.
@guddaysunshine Agreed. Without proper education AND information (media) democracy is a joke too. Atleast with dictatorship... you know very well where your enemy is AND why/how he/theyre fucking you.
The founding fathers DID believe in democracy. But the democracy turned into a republic where rights have been stripped by the people let it happened. The founding fathers would not agree with the U.S.'s so called democracy today. That's why they would be proud of the revolution in Egypt where people are fighting for REAL democracy.
i think if cenk sounded anything like the founders, he would be yanked off the air. as much as he might hold these things dear in some way, these ideas are a danger to the status quo. if he ever starts to sound more like andrew napolitano or ron paul, then he will be sounding more like the founders, but that would probably be his last day on mainstream news. these guys are very limited in what they can say, if that says anything about freedom in the usa. controlled media for a controlled people.
I LOVE how the American founding fathers invented democracy and the pursuit of freedom. Before then there had never been democracy? Never been down trodden masses seeking freedom? Never been great men who stood up for the rights of the many over the wishes of the few?
@fitzhalim actually the founders hated democracy. they created a constitutional republic. democracy leads to tyranny, according to plato. thank your federal department of education for convincing us all that we live in a democracy. now we all believe it and swear it's a good thing. most of us don't know that we are all practicing communists either. i think the usa fits 7 and a half out of 10 planks in the communist manifesto, but most americans swear otherwise. we are dumbed down to the dirt.
i like what cenk said about what being american means to him, but mubarak was funded and set up by the current usa which is nothing close to the constitutional republic that it was founded to be. not to say the founders were perfect. ask the blacks and the indians, but the founding documents are all genius ideas if they were applied. if cenk feels that way, he should be more of a rebel against the current system here. when he starts sounding more like the founders himself, he'll have a new fan.
what a tool, not only did America invent democracy they dont even practice it. talk about giving yourself way to much credit, and i mean WWAAAAYYY to much lol.
@OmniLegends The magna carta was not about democracy. King John had bordered insanity by his abuse of power and all the lords/dukes/high rollers of the English ruling class came together and gave an inch to the common man before so that they would not revolt against the bumbaling king and take the whole ship down. The parliamentary system has some serious anti democratic flaws in it.
Hold on, isn't this a little bit premature?? The military is still in control. They COULD leapfrog even western democracies by having the alternate vote system instead of first-past-the-post. Individual congressmen instead of money-based party-politics. Remove the influence of money in political campaigning by requiring all candidates to be invited in media debates. But then again, they might not. If the egyptian people stop speaking now, these things won't happen.

@RevDooDatt Did he specify which slave act? No of course he didn't . Both slave acts were done to appease the South that doesn't change the fact George Washington freed his slaves after his and Martha's deaths.
So every time someone somewhere on the other side of the planet wants to be free, we should all get on our knees, salute the US flag and sing the praise of the "founding fathers"? Most of Cenk's commentaries about Egypt have been very good, but this nonsensical patriotic rhetoric is just ridiculous. I guess that is the kind of shit you are expected to say on mainstream tv.
@xxdonaldqxxx So you would rather live in North Korea or Myanmar ? In the US there is no special search engine on Google like their is in China or Saudi Arabia, wouldn't they just get one of those if they wanted to shut down the internet "which was invented by said country". In most countries you can be arrested and put in prison for hate speech "Canada,EU" I thought liberals were in favor of universal health care, which is mandatory. Not wearing a seal belt is stupid so you should be fined.
@acdc30450 "So you would rather live in North Korea or Myanmar ?" No but I don't like the idea of an intrusive government heading in the direction of those nations. "Not wearing a seal belt is stupid so you should be fined".In a free nation you don't get a fine because someone thinks you did something stupid. It is no business of yours or the government if I do or don't wear a seatbelt. In most countries you can be arrested and put in prison for hate speech "You think thats a good idea?
@xxdonaldqxxx Almost every country on the planet has the mandatory seat belt rule. It has saved count less lives and saves the health system a lot of money. People who say "I should be able to do what ever I want with my body" have little respect for their well being and are just stupid. Under the most extreme circumstances, we should muzzle people who's speech is harmful to society " Loius Farakhan, Fred Phelps" because they pollute the rest of society with their poison.
@acdc30450 "I should be able to do what ever I want with my body" have little respect for their well being and are just stupid" How about drinking alcohol, prostitution, driving a motorcycle, skydiving, boxing, and a thousand other activities that can be considered dangerous or stupid.Who decides what a person can do with his or her body? As far as muzzling free speech,at one time communist speeches were considered dangerous in the U.S.A. Maybe only speech you consider dangerous should be banned.
@xxdonaldqxxx The things you listed are different from wearing a seat belt. Alchohal like most soft substances is OK in moderation, if you hire a prostiture you are proving your self to be completely desparate, by law you have to wear a helmet when riding a motorcycle, skydiving deaths are relatively low, for the most part only pro boxers suffer serious health problems. When you don't wear a seat belt, you in danger other people because you lose control of the car and put others in danger.
@acdc30450 Are you saying driving in a car with no seat belt is more dangerous than skydiving or riding on a motor cycle? BTW there is no law in the state where I live forcing persons riding motor cycles to wear a helmet. "If you hire a prostiture you are proving your self to be completely desperate",I'm not talking about the person who is hiring one. I mean the person who is selling their body like a piece of meat.
@xxdonaldqxxx If you look at deaths, there are more accidents from car crashes " 95 % related to not wearing a seat belt, reckless driving or alcohol" than there are motorcycle accidents and sky diving combined. In fact, sky diving is a safe sport, when ever some one dies sky diving it makes the news, unlike car crashes. A person who prostitutes them selves is one of two things, in desperate need of money due to extreme poverty, or a person who has no self respect and is completely messed up.
@acdc30450 "If you look at deaths, there are more accidents from car crashes" Of course there are more deaths from car accidents. There a many more people who drive cars than who sky dive.
@xxdonaldqxxx People sky dive every day, but deaths are still few and in between. People drive every day, and there is a serious accident every ten minutes or so.
@xxdonaldqxxx Secondly, Communists were considered dangerous because they wanted to over throw the government by violent means. Watch protest footage from a G 20 meeting, or do some reading on Bill Ayers. They want to take away the rights of people who dis agree with them. North Korea, China, Vietnam, Cuba all have strong censorship laws in place.

Dethonator 1 year ago
@Dethonator where do you get your statistics? They sound made up... besides, any greek 20+ male citizen had the right to vote. and as for being a citizen, you only had to be born of a male greek citizen who did his mandatory military service at age 20. So it makes sense, if you were born of a foreigner or a foreign slave then why would you be a citizen? sounds pretty fair to me.
check your facts before you start an internet argument.
braydeneshuis 1 year ago
@braydeneshuis You're right. 95% is too extreme. The correct figure was 70%. My bad. But keep in mind that there are two sides to history.

Its2point 1 year ago 25
@Its2point
i cant belive i'm going to defend america like this but.......
in case you dont know america was the first nation since Rome to be made on these principles, we inspired the french revolution and now the Egyptian one. Cenk is not saying americans should take credit for the revolution he's saying that its great that the principles we built america on has now taken root in the middle east.
millitantatheist1 1 year ago
@millitantatheist1 What an ignorant claim to make that America inspired an Egyptian revolution. This was not inspired by a decadent, gluttonous country such as America, this was inspired by the years of hardship these people endured. Cenk is not saying American's should take credit, you're right, because he has already taken credit on the behalf of America. It's great to be supportive of other nations, but it's outlandish, and utterly disgusting to claim this as "A win for America"
Its2point 1 year ago
@Its2point i don't mean that we actively inspired Egypt , i'm saying that the principles in which America was founded inspired Egypt, and it is actually "A win for America"- the Arabic soul of the middle east just peacefully threw off their dictator and this benefits America.
America inspired Egypt the same way Greece inspired America. if you have trouble with this statement perhaps you should think if you actually disagree or are biased.
millitantatheist1 1 year ago
@millitantatheist1 The principles that America was founded upon are not American principles. They are principles that were adopted by America, there is a difference. Your reasoning behind Mubarak's 'dethroning' being a win for America is arbitrary. You can just as easily say it's a win for Western Society. Or all NATO tied nations for that matter. Again, the few bigoted American's thinking the world revolves around them and creating a negative stereotype of their nation for the rest of the world
Its2point 1 year ago
@Its2point America was the first country since the Rome to be founded on these principles and while it is technically true that Greece invented democracy in our modern time and until pretty recently America was considered indicative of such freedoms, thus its easier to assume that Egypt was more inspired by America than Greece.
yes, it is a win for NATO and western society, it being a win for America as it is not mutually exclusive.
please explain to me how i am a bigot.
millitantatheist1 1 year ago
@millitantatheist1 I'm not sure if you've been misled, but you continue to try and explain which country inspired Egypt. My original standpoint is that no single country inspired the people of Egypt and that their inspiration was forged from the decades of endured hardship under Mubarak's lead. Yes America was founded upon these principles you clearly hold so high, however paper and practice are two different things and history shows 100 years before African Americans were given their freedom.
Its2point 1 year ago
@Its2point he's talking in the sense of the ideals that founded america. That the revoltion in egypt is a win for those ideals. From the veiw point of an american that hears of threats of death from the middle eastern area because of such ideals a revolution like this is a win to what the core of america believes in. This is merely a congratultions not a taking of credit for it.
twylightsky2007 1 year ago
@Its2point i agree they think they are the only democracy when they hardly know what their goverment does. they get to a point where everything is shit but them it is like too much. and for such a country who loves freedom why did they end the slavery at after the civil war when all the country who got their freedom from spain did it when they got their indepence and that is 50 years! after america was born

Yep ... Freedom© is copyrighted by USA. Everybody mentioning it or merely wanting it must pay a royalty. :)
It's the same situation as with the US drug companies who steal and copyright ancient Hindu medicines...

@FormerlyKnownAsNopez "Yep ... Freedom© is copyrighted by USA". Yeah the patriot act, warrantless searches, the government trying to figure out a way to shut down the Internet, being forced to buy health care, getting a ticket for not wearing a seat belt, elected officials with the help of the media pushing for hate speech crimes...Well,aah.... yes, those all are probably signs of our freedom.

In most countries you can be arrested and put in prison for hate speech "You think thats a good idea?
xxdonaldqxxx 1 year ago

When you don't wear a seat belt, you in danger other people because you lose control of the car and put others in danger.
acdc30450 1 year ago

There a many more people who drive cars than who sky dive.
xxdonaldqxxx 1 year ago
@xxdonaldqxxx People sky dive every day, but deaths are still few and in between. People drive every day, and there is a serious accident every ten minutes or so.

@xxdonaldqxxx Secondly, Communists were considered dangerous because they wanted to over throw the government by violent means. Watch protest footage from a G 20 meeting, or do some reading on Bill Ayers. They want to take away the rights of people who dis agree with them. North Korea, China, Vietnam, Cuba all have strong censorship laws in place.

@xxdonaldqxxx
It was sarcasm. I compared the situation to US drug companies stealing ancient medicines and copyrighting it.
