I just got the Target black Friday $265 40" Element 1080p HDTV and it has a dead/stuck pixel that is red on the upper right-ish side of the screen out of the box. But something tells me it might be more than one because later on a black screen I seen a turquoise small dot stuck/dead pixel.
This is are the different surround sound channels 2.0 2.1 3.1 4.1 5.1 6.1 7.1 so the ones used the most 2.0 and 5.1 so the guy in the video had a 3.1 set up one left one right one center and a sub lots of DVDs and blu rays have a 3.1 channel or a 2.0 instead of running the 5.1 click the 2.1 and convert the sound tell u have the center channel working and the sub left and right your good to go
@RealityTelevision101 My old receiver had a "Dolby 3.1 mode" but, all it did was take some of the stereo information from the left and right channels and send it to the center channel.
Hey I'm in the market for a HDTV finally and am looking at a bigger Plasma TV for gaming and watching Blu-Ray on. Is there honestly any difference that you have noticed between 1080p and 720p? I'm going to go to Best Buy and look around (ordering from Newegg probably) but just want some opinions first.
I read somewhere that the difference between 720p and 1080i is not noticeable unless you are going for the extra large screens or you are sitting very close to the tv. if you are in the market for a 40-46 inch TV and sit 15 feet back or so you won't see much of a difference at all.
Well 1080i is something I never want anyway, progressive all the way. I'm going with a 720p Panasonic set though, it's a few hundred cheaper, picture looks good, and 1080p isn't something I'd probably notice from where I'm sitting. (about 10 - 12 feet back)
The overall iPhone and smart phone app business is a fad, I have no interest in those phones, i'd rather get a netbook. That or the apps will be available for free , pirated of course but nonetheless that business will crumble.
I had a Sony Ericsson w810i phone and it was amazing, I watched full movies no problem, so I really didn't need anything else. And as for the google chrome os, I wouldn't even touch it, linux all the way. Or if it's a nice dual core netbook i'd even try windows 7. I don't trust google with all my data on their remote servers :S
the only way for us to be guaranteed HD for immediate viewing is if revision3 sets the video as private whilst it processes then changes it to public but I think we all watch the show for its content not to see a slightly sharper image of two guys and a TV :P
Dead pixels and stuck pixels those are the reasons why sometimes I hate LCDs. Ughhhh

@EmotionalNinjaTV depends how close you are to the tv when you use it, if your like, 10-20 ft from it on avrge, get 720
if you sit infront of it etc
1080p

@Rcrby525 720p is the same as you said 1080p will make no diffrence only if ur 3 inches away from the screen
fuge805 1 year ago
@fuge805 besides, 720p is cheaper, most laptops now-a-days come with a 720p screen. just so ya know.

@chickeee I know, my boss took a picture of my license instead of scanning it at the local office supply shop, and the quality just wasn't there.
