They're actually not as violent as people say. The hostages are treated well, although they might have executed a few over the past four years. They're getting rich off ransoms, but why shouldn't they? Somalia could use the money from the inside. You can't really fight a guerrilla group in a lawless country, so maybe people will just learn to stay off the Somali coast.
