very nice set up sir. i just wanna ask,,,, what's the dkifference between pag 56 and slimpar 56 (both from chauvet) thank you sir. what do you prefer between the two?!
Man, really nice set up. This is what I want to offer me clients. At the moment just awesome sound, music, and a few "moving" lights. I am looking into the up lighting, and those gobo lights look amazing.
Great Job DJ Mike. I'm just starting out with Lighting, and wanted to know how do you secure your Lights on top of the Vertical Trusses, so that if they get bumped they don't fall off?
I found out if you have moving heads and if you point them at the tables it pumps people up and they go and dance in the vid you had them pointed at the ceiling and walls
@bigun204 Thanks I will keep this in mind. If possoble can you send me a play list you think might have done the trick as I always want to do better and become a real dj and pack the dance floor... Cant wait for a list of songs to do the trick
@directsound Mike! That dude is crazy!! as usual you are on point!!! How long did it take you to set this up? do you have any advise for new dj? I like the up;ighting. I just getting started with the lighting. What and should i get first? Keep it up and thanks!
man i really have respect for american dj's because i swear doing american weddings is the most boring party ever! look how many people are actually dancing! lol im a dj that specializes in hispanic parties and man ! they party!
I like the Set up looks great but I cringe looking at those expensive lights out on the corners of the dance floor, thats just asking some drunk to slam into them
Mikey Mike...Could me give me some tips on how you would go about pricing out uplighting. I'm in NC... and I'm looking into getting into doing some uplighting. You charge by per light.. or how would you go about it? I have Glow skirts and I'm looking to branch out.
Now what about the something like the columns... is that the 200... or your six column use? I assume you charge more for that considering its simply not just putting a par can or led light on the floor. Thanks for the quick reply. I'm looking to building a tower cover that will hide the speakers and tripod and uplight it. I heard that DJ skirts were going to come out with something like that... but they want your two arms and legs for it.
I've been successfully selling the lycra spandex screen for vids and slideshows for the first dance etc and pics of the wedding and general couple photos with a personal congrats slide. Of course later, there will be music videos played on them. I've been really impressed with your uplighting. The box truss columns look is what I had in mind for covering the speakers up.
Also, mike, you have a set charge for the wedding... and sell your uplighting as an accessory or as a complete package. Thanks in advance for any tips!!!!
as always I say. in the United States it has damasiados equipment of completes generation and everything what you want! but there is something is not bought. and it is the desire of people to dance, here in Argentinean with very few effects. audio-rhythmic and a pair of robots is sufuciente so that a good celebration is armed. sure, the fault is not yours, but of people! hug! and good bye!
How do you like them? Do you find them limiting in any way considering they're only 8 channels, and some models are 12+ channels allowing more options (micro pan/tilit, prism, rotating prism, etc..)?
excelent set up.. Im Impress.. congratulations.. I looking true your videos to give me an idea tu set up my stuff..thanks for your time to uploud them!!
that's an enviable set, loads more dimension than the usual "mobile rig in the corner". Uplighting columns and fixed gobos, very sophis. Hats off to ya.
you are really the best at what you do, you went above and beyond on that room with the gobo's and stars projections. do you use wireless DMX? and also was there a piano or was that you playing "here comes the bride" and those songs during the reception.
Very Nice Design Mr. Mike. Although I am worried about staff or guests knocking over you vertical trusses. How do you hold them in place? Thank you for your valuable time.
The truss base plate are made of 1/4" steel and are about 70 LBS 2'x2' very stable I guess they could be knocked over if someone were to tackel it but they could do the same to any other thing in the room ... in the last year I havent had any issues of for see any its easer to knock over your trypod then these things
Hi MM... I just signed up to youtube a week ago, where have i been:)...i've spent hours watching videos which started with "Briansredd" & now others including your "fantastic wedding lighting setup"...u gimme some inspiration to change to LEDs & cost me heaps coz theres many lights out there..hehehe..Can you please tel me what the lights are called..the ones that create white hearts on the ceiling, and the white stars on the walls/ceiling?..Will they work in Australia 240volts?..cheers..Mike
it is a gobo projecter I use the Accu Spot Moving head 250II to shoot gobos and the Image 250 by American DJ you can use any gobo light that works in your area
Thanks for the vid. Wow mikey mike, how are you gonna top this? Ok, picture rc helicopters with led pinspots circling the room. Yeah and some revo sweeps on top of those roomba vacuum cleaners moving around the floor. All in fun. Like the football thing. The gobo projectors are a nice touch. The cake lighting is a great idea. Sorry about the injury. You go Mikey Mike!
Thanks Those are some great ideas I will surly consider LOL but you and me we are thinking the same ..I might top this one tonight with a Casino Night show
Awesome setup! love the uplighting as always, love the strobing effect during dancing too. And 6 vertical strusses rock!! And the gobos all around, just amazing. Very classy. Without the injury, how long would this setup take to put up?
mike how many par cans do you hav those pars looked amazing the way u dmx them all to strobe and change color at the same time AMAZING MAN good job 10/10 (hope u get better soon)
your uplighting shows get better and better everytime i watch. The lighting is a show in itself. You know how to transform a blank room into a colorful work of art. great job as always. Have you seen the American DJ Mega bar 50 RGB? Cool light for uplighting.
that light setup is just awesome, i wonder how much of the cords going to the pillars get pulled up though, that would be my biggest concern, I suppose wireless dmx would solve that, except for the power cords.
nice work-lights looked great-coverings for the chairs would have been a nice finishing touch but I know that's not your department. Did the alligator that bit your foot live or did they just transfer it back to the zoo?
Next wedding could you perhaps go over how you run all the wires between you totems and hide everything? You do a great job at it. Must take a lot of gaff tape.
didn't look like a dancing crowd huh?? Love the lights though.. very very elegant... you must put the other DJ's out in your areas to shame with your setup...excellent work everytime!
