  • This album is awesome

  • ΑΛΛΟ ΕΝΑ Γ.......ΣΤΕΡΟ ΚΟΜΜΑΤΙ ΤΩΝ ΑΠΑΙΧΤΩΝ BLACK SABBATH...

  • tony martin: the eternal idol!!!!

  • like all of the sudden youtube shows up with a new player box under the video.

  • I am waiting for someone to do a video for "The Shining" with clips from live Black Sabbath concerts from the Martin era and clips from the Movie "The Shining"

  • Tony Martin is the shit.

  • Yes he is.

  • es bueno

  • Who's that drummer with the mullet in this video???

  • Terry Chimes.

  • btw i forgot the period of time when gillan was the frontman...that was also very good!!!

  • Ian Gillian is the fucking greatest metal singer of ALL TIME!!!

  • 1983ish I believe. After the album "The Mob Rules" with Dio, Gillan took over.

  • i don't like that kind of sabbath...i prefer the sabs with ozzy and ofcourse heaven and hell(sabs with dio for smb who maybe don't know)

  • MAJESTIC!!!

  • i saw sabbath live 13 years ago with frontman toni martin and it was very good, obviously not as good as the prince of darkness but it was awesome seeing iommi on guitar

  • I like the Ozzy stuff better (mainly cuz it had a psychadelic feel to it), but Martin was a really good singer.

  • i think that Tony Martin was one of the most underrated sabbath's singer , he is a god

  • Eternal ido the best master piece of black sabbath, is fact =)

  • he sounds like ronnie james DIO!! kinda

  • Rise up!

I have always thought Tony was the best singer Sabbath ever had, even if he's not really better than Dio. But the albums he's on ARE better than those with Dio.

  • A great era of Sabbath the true Sabbath fans such as I appreciate it all. And don't forget about Born Again a great album, and the Dio years are far and away the best!!

  • Born Again is my second fav Sabbath album after Dehumanizer, just really heavy, I was never that mad on the slower doomy stuff, Toni got the chance to show what he could do after Ozzy left

  • Andrew, Dehumanizer is one of the most underrated metal albums ever I agree. And yeah Tony's sound did come alive after the 70's. It's unfortunate that this era of sabbath doesn't get recognized like it should, the headless cross is an amazing song.

  • I saw Sabbath at the Shepherds Bush Empire on the Forbidden tour, Tony Martin what a great vocalist, I hope 1 day they do a tour with every vocalist, maybe do a 1 off that would be epic

  • the intro guitarmelody is the best here

and makes the song worth not to be forgotten.

  • The Eternal Idol-album sure is a great BLACK SABBATH album!

  • this is good but they shouldnt have called it Black Sabbath. the Tony Iommi band. thats what it is

  • i love this song but sabbath wuz so much better w/out ozzy...LONG LIVE TONY!

  • HAHAHAHAHA Ozzy made blacksabbath? it wuz Iommi if anything. If ozzy made it y the fuck did they kick if out 4 not doin shit? wuznt a consipricy it wuz he wuz a lazy asshole with a mediocre voice at least Dio's an Martins voice is good to listen to ozzys is like nails on a chalk board...nxt ull try an tell me Axl rose isnt washed up

  • You have to be joking and everybody who voted you up. Sure Tony Martin was a great singer, and they made a couple of good albums, but seriously. Where would they be if they just sounded like this? I'm not saying Ozzy made Sabbath better, but come on mate, their first 6 albums are all classics in the shaping of heavy metal. Nobody else sounded like them.

  • yeah there music was the best part thats about it according to the rest of the band ozzy din contribute SHIT. he wuz same way in Blizzard of Ozz...he sucks talent outta every1 an then claims it wuz all him... he fucked Tony an Radny so damn badly

  • Oxxy did contribute to some of the lyrics, I do beleive that it wasn't all him, but don't say he contributed nothing when he did

  • the clash with black sabbath mmmm

  • WHAT A GREAT POSTING!!

  • Black Sabbath are gods. No matter what incarnation of the band. Now I'll admit that the Ozzy and Dio eras spawned the most legendary music of their careers, but hey, its still Tony on guitar thru all the other guys rite? at least its something

  • Right on. I love all eras of Sabbath.

  • Fong the girls all live in my pole barn and they work for their rent. LOL!!

  • Who are the Girls? anyone . .?

  • i love all black sabbath's groups, but for me, ozzy's was the best. the real black sabbath..they give sense to the name. the best riffs are theirs. its just my opinion..

  • My favorite song with,Tony Martin!

  • BLACK SABBATH ETERNO!!

  • great song

  • To "Speedkingb": right you are!!!

  • Iommi's riffs and hot babes...what more could a man want?

  • Is the only wayyy¡¡¡¡yeahhhhhh this is BLACK SABBATH ,TONY MARTIN IS THE BEST VOCALIST OF SABBATH,yeaaaaaaaaahhhhhh,

  • Tony is an awesome guitarist. But he is an awesomely nice guy.He is very friendly and very accomodating.I met him and we chatted for a few minutes and asked me if I wanted to take a pic with him.Naturally i didn't have a camera,I never thought I would I would meet him.Geezer and Bill Ward were just as nice as well Vinny Appice,Ozzy on the other hand is another story.Him and Sharon, boy oh boy,not nice at all.

  • lucky...

  • The best sabbath song ever after Trashed and When death calls imo.Long live Sabbath.

  • Iommi is the best riff-writer of all time, no question.

  • one of there best defantly

  • black sabbath arent black sabbath without ozzy. they're still good, but not the same..i like DIO too, but prefer ozzy

  • Tony Iommi is an institution.

  • now Martin is bald... xD

  • WOW!

  • Dio could be good on this one..

  • That's a hall of fame mullet on the singer.

  • sweet riff

  • The screaming of the part what says "The Shining!" contains the scream from Ray Gillen demos. Listen carrefully.

  • Hint! Brazilian band with influence Black Sabbath - search in my videos!

  • too bad ray gillan did not stay his demo is better

  • not really

  • I love this song, but in this video it has been cut too much

  • ONE HELLUVA SONG AND HELLUVA SINGER!!

  • :'(

  • martin is a great singer, of course if you compare him with dio ozzy or gillian he will migth seem bad

  • that's not true, the only difference between tony martin and dio and gillen is that he wasn't so famous for being in a other great band before sabbath and he is better than both, he had the most albums made with sabbath after ozzy meaning that he worked hard, but ozzy is on top of the list then 2nd tony martin

  • Great Album. Great singer. The whole band sounds really good on this album.

  • thos are realy pretty girls in this video man old school girls are way bettar than the new school girls!!

  • The more I listen to the Tony Martin Era the more I like it...Having dismissed all efforts after RJD and Ian Gillan left long ago...I must admit that I may have overlooked some excellent music..Live and learn i guess.

  • Yes... I did the same and picked up Eternal Idol in 1995 and was blown away and then left it at that for a long time. About five years back I decided to buy TYR and totally liked it. I then bought all of what I missed of Iommi in the 90's. To my surprise it was some of his best guitar work. After the seventh star album( one of my favorite albums) I lost interest and thought Iommi was just hiring anyone that would play under the name Black Sabbath. A ton of great material.

  • 5 STARS !!!FUCK OZZY!!!!

  • what? cant you just like all the vocalists? or at least accept them if you genuinenly dont like their voice or whatever

  • The best of Metals ...

  • there are 4 different types of sabbath fans,

Purists= who say Osbourne/Iommi/Butler/Ward is the only true lineup

Half Purists= people who believe any lineup with Iommi/Butler is sabbath

All Lineup Fan= believes any incarnation is sabbath

and a forth who might believe osbourne/dio/martin are the only true vocalists etc

i am the forth and i believe Osbourne/Dio/Gillan are the only true sabbath vocalists because after Gillan, and after ward and butler left, tony bought up the rights

  • black sabbath is great no matter who is singing, they are so unholy (\m/) but also godlike

  • I believe that the truest fans of Sabbath are those fans who are fans of the total concept Sabbath portrays...Some simply feel only Ozzy can deliver that....I believe all but the Album 7th star fit the mold.

  • Every Black Sabbath album represents an appropriate evolution of their great career and singers like Hughes and Martin were excellent choice! The only Sabbath album I dislike is "Forbidden".

  • Even Tony Iommi hates that lp! Me I feel Sabbath is T. Iommi. He kept them going even when Ozzy and Bill could'nt stay sober and Geezer lost interest in the late 80's. If it was'nt for Tony there would'nt be a Sabbath to have a reunion with whether it's with Ozzy or Ronnie.

  • Kiss of Death from that album is actually very good though... search it on here (or: watch?v=inYty8lUoC0 )

  • tony martin

  • The Gods of Metal, what can I say, they are the best...

  • Vinnie Appice is a great drummer; he went with Dio after they split after 'Live Evil' and drummed for Dio's solo career for a while.

As far as Martin goes... I feel that while he doesn't quite have the same popularity as Ozzy or Dio, his songs have a MUCH different feel to them, and he plays a different role as a singer than either Ozzy or Dio. He's not necessarily better or worse, just different

  • Definately a different feel...I "feel" the darkness in the songs sung by Dio and Ozzy but not in Martins...no matter what the lyrics say he just cant deliver the darkness that defines Sabbath..I mean we are talking about Sabbath here not something that sounds like an Yngwie song.

  • rock

  • this was when you had to truly play your insterments and sing not like todays metal bands that use satanic lyrics and gulish gore in their videos to shock you.

  • I agree...only psychos need violence, Black Sabbath is for still normal guys :)

  • actually sabbth is inteligent metal they don t shout and make satanic noises like all these shitty metal bands

  • Tony Martin rocks!

  • OH go Kill Your Selk

IT'S ROCK AND ROLL ASS HOLE!|

    YES ONLY ROCK AND ROLL

  • there have been other death metal groups that have covered 79-95 era sabbath songs:

Coffin Texts -"Disturbing the Priest Division -"Heaven and Hell"

also power metal group Steel Prophet did an excellent cover of "Neon Knights"

  • toecutterr6

There are bands that like Sabbath 79-95. Not just Doom metal bands but power metal bands.

hek Cannibal Corpse covered Zero the Hero (1983) on their Hammer Smashed Face EP back in 93

  • А хули они все волосатые?

  • a little weird but still an awesome song

  • i just noticed how awesome this song is. it isnt the same sound as the original sabbath but it fuckin works people who only like the Ozzy Era and claim to be a sabbath fan are posers, all they are are just ozzy fans. a real sabbath fan likes every era of sabbath.

  • Everyone true Sabbath fan likes the band for Tony Immoi :P but yeah seriously I love Sabbath and the main reason is Immoi but Ozzy/Dio are amazing their drummer that they had at the Heaven & Hell concert Vinny something I think is also awesome but he's not part of Sabbath think he rolled with them in the 80s.

  • no he is part of sabbath. he was on the world tour with them last year and did work on mob rules and dehumanizer(fuckin good album) ozzy and dio really were great but so was tony martin and he fets over looked too much.

  • Over looked?...No I would say he just doesn't fit with the concept of who and what this band was supposed to be...The same could be said for two other fabulous vocalists like Ray Gillen, and Glen Hughes...just not Sabbath material...good material but not Sabbath....Let us leave those things dark and mysterious to Ozzy and Dio..those are the only keys that unlocked the gates of hell anyway.

  • i think its funny you spelled "Iommi" completely backwards twice and also vinnie appice is with sabbath he is actually their current drummer

  • i think its funny how I spelled gets.....i spelled fets. but f and g are side by side so

  • oh shit sorry that was not supposed to be a response to you it was supposed to be a response to keithds sorry bro..

  • oh its alright i was pickin at myself cuz i mispelled gets

  • Yes,sabbath can't even replicate sabbath.Y'know there are a thousand bands that are heavily influenced by sabbath and it's ALWAYS the '69 to '78 material.I know what needs to be done to achieve that vibe,I just wish I were smarter and more motivated to do it(and had 3 or 4 other dudes who felt the same).

  • To hell with your sports team allegiance analogy..this video sux,it does and you can't defend it.The Ol' sabbath days cannot be duplicated..not even by Sabbath themselve.

  • Those were good days, but you have to admit if they can't duplicate the old sabbath, you have to at least say Dio's doin' a good job.

  • isnt that the random bassist

  • Yup, the indian guy they picked from the street for this particular video!

  • thats funny

  • This song and video are a disgrace to the Sabbath name. I know Iommi had to earn a living during the 1980's/early 90's but did he really have to write this shit?

  • Sorry to see you don't like Black Sabbath.

  • i'm sorry but i think they made this one strictly to get pussy from video hos

  • That has to be de luckiest "bass player" on the world...

  • woooow!!!!!!

  • This is one of my favorites songs of Black Sabbath.

  • ozzy was a better vocalist than tony.

    go ozzy osbourne!

  • Ugh.

  • Ozzy was amazing and he had an amazing voice, actually hes my favorite sabbath singer but he cant hit notes like tony can

  • When this album came out I was very dissapointed that Geezer Butler left. That being said, I still played the album a lot. It has aged pretty well. This definitely has an 80's sound to it but it was recorded in the 80's. Tony's got some good solos on the record. This actually was one of my least favorite tracks on the record. "Born to Lose" and "Nightmare" were my favorite.

  • tony martin all the way this shit rocks

  • It isn't real Sabbath sound, TonyMartin's era is totally differentefrom Dio,Ozzy and Ian.

And yes there isn't Geezer.Too much keyboard sound,I don't like.

The best era was with Ozzy.

  • so im gonna start an endless debate in which i expect will be now winner.

    ozzy

    dio

    martin

    which one?

  • Thats like asking, Car, truck, or SUV? They are equally awesome in their own rights and yet very different.

  • so true. i actually like this song and nightmare from the album eternal idol just as much, if not better then paranoid iron man heaven and hell etc. you know? this is a very very good track.

  • LONG LIVE SABBATH.TONY MARTIN ROCKS.

  • The band is crap without Geezer.

  • Awesome Sabbath. A different era.

Check out my covers of the acoustic stuff Iommi did in Sabbath. :)~

  • Toni Iommi hasn't aged in 40 yrs.

  • lol

  • Geezer wasn't in the group in 1987

  • wheres geezer butler

  • SO YOUNG omg :lllllll

  • Some parts are omitted.

  • Such a killer song !

    "live lomg, live now"....what a lyric !

Dont play with fire...." golden dawn" speaks volumes in of itself...I love the MacBeth reference of the 3 witches......and the falcon is absolutely a powerful capture !

  • The only Sabbath song based on a Stephen King movie. xD

  • King ? Not Kubrick's ??

  • Kubrick's movie is based on Stephen King's book. And the song isn't inspirated on SK. It's about the band and their relation with their fans! =p

  • liommi mr joe cool of the fret world who needs to jump and bang wen u got the game,,

  • I loved the tony martin era...4 albums if im not mistaken...?

  • Actually 5: Eternal Idol, TYR, Cross Purposes, Headless Cross & Forbidden. The Tony Martin era had it's moments but personally I'd take the much heavier Ozzy/Dio/Gillan era.

  • In case anybody's wondering, that's Terry Chimes (The Clash) on drums in the video. He toured a bit with Sab, but didn't play on any albums.

  • where did u get that info 4 some reason i cant imagina the clashes drummer playing 4 sabbath

  • The book "Doom Let Loose" also It's on Terry Chimes' website

  • k thx

  • great singer, better than ozzy in my opnion

  • ozzies all show who sings through his nose nowhere near the likes of martin gillen dio and co got to put on all the theatrics to cover his weak vocal range

  • Jeah! Sweet to have some chicks on a sabbath video

  • tony martin is great!

  • are you codding

  • tony is and will always be the best singer since Ozzy for blacksabbath. Dio is a swollen headed little toad who got jacked up by Blackmores security man when he tried to follow blackmore into his dressing room after an argument.

most of these guys are in their sixties.

  • 1°=ozzy

    2°=dio

    3°=tony

  • Nice post! I thought this album totally kicked ass, and Tony Martin was an excellent vocalist on it. What a great voice.

  • If you don't like this then you are not a Sabbath fan but just an asshole ozzyfan. Listen your Ozzy and 70s albums and live in your own world.

  • One of the first songs I heard from the TM era, along with Anno Mundi.

I love this song so much. (I also love all the other songs off the Eternal Idol album: Ancient Warrior, Glory Ride, Eternal Idol, Nightmare etc.)

  • Ozzy and Dio fit the best to Black Sabbath PERIOD!

now I know you will all say "blabla Ozzy sux..." how can you say that?! He's the original vocalist of this great band and has a unique voice...he sang awesome songs in Sabbath like Paranoid, Solitude (i love this song), Changes, Sabbath Bloody Sabbath, Dirty Women and more

  • people who say ozzy sucks have watched the osbournes too much and don't listen to the great music that he sang to.

  • Being a Sabbath fan over 30 years and having

scene their evolution, One has to be amazed at how regardless how the singer is remain a

hardcore quality band. I love 80% of their material. All singers bring about a different dimension and variation to the band.

Bottom line.....best hardcore band to me with Led Zeppelin.

  • Im a post ozzy sabbath fan but this has got to be the worst shit they ever came up with(counting the ozzy era). Doesnt have the mid-evil battleground sound of the Dio era or the Gillan era high notes. But Headless cross was a good song.

  • //Since I don't dig the Ian & Glenn era stuff.

  • Great song!

  • shit aint it

  • I edited this promo for the sinclair film company in soho london

  • thats because you real name is billy karloff and your a cunt

  • If you like this shit then you are not a Sabbath fan.
