Here's some sites (if u aren't familiar) that have lost & found pet listings.
Pet finder Xdot com
Lost pet usa Xdot net
Home again Xdot com, is a site for pets that have microchips but they have an 800 number, call & ask if the cat u found fits a description for 1 missing.
tabby tracker Xdot com
It might B a lot of work (I hope not) but it would be really nice if he (the cat) & his person could B reunited.
Maybe ask local business' if u could put up a found flier? (Dry cleaner, bodega?)
@scream261 Thank you. I got here from a link on fb since I read that you were going to bring the sweetie to the ACC. I wasn't sure if you knew how many animals that place puts to sleep and this poor boy would probably get put down just by the lousy luck of the draw.
I'm not sure how familiar you are with cats but it is better (if you haven't decided on your own) to keep cats separate, even if you were going to bring in a new cat, you have to keep them apart for at least 2 weeks. Just fyi...
please whatever you do, do you not give to ACC, they will put him to sleep! i have shared the link with some people and hoping that someone contacts you soon! thank you so much for rescuing him..he is sooo cute!!
Awww...can you put up some signs in the neighborhood for the original owner? It looks like they took good care of him and they might be heartsick that he got loose. :(

Is there a vet near you that would scan the cat for you (for free since you found him) to see if he has a microchip?
If that doesn't work, is the low cost vet care van ever in your area? They might scan him for free?
You could post a found ad on craigslist? But maybe have the person describe him so some odd ball doesn't bother you to get a free cat....?
There are also lost & found pet websites...(just trying to help you & the kitty.)
