I've never tried unholy but I've been both frost and blood. I would say it's so much easier to tank with frost :). You should start tank in frost as a newbie tank. But if u know what to do I think blood is the best tankingspec. You have more health than the other specs plus you got lots of abilitys that heal yourself. So it gets easier for healers. But anyway both blood and forst are great tanking specs. I think unholy are to cus why should blizzard make 2/3 speccs good?

i currently unholy tank in 3.3 and have no problems. all specs can tank just gotta know what your doing.

Honestly, I can see it working now. But, it's been a long time since I've tanked Unholy. It would definitely "feel" completely different to me now.

All DK specs can tank blood is like warrior single target Unholy is a good mixe between AoE and single target and Frost is a great AoE tank spec

Yeah that's a fair assessment, I think that's why I like Blood so much now. UH really isn't so big on AE as it was when I made the video, but it's still great for anti magic fights. Frost has just great melee mitigation and snap aggro.

A tip;

Blood and unholy is for DPS. Blizzard made it for DPS.

As you see, you lose aggro all the time. You have to use Dark death on each mob that spawn. Blizzard made frost mainly for Tanking.

well they failed cause blood tank pwns frost and unholy tanking right now and btw blood tanks are called DPS tanks cause they hold aggro good and dps a lot more

@AL0229 All specs of the death knight can tank and do dps THAT'S what dk's where designed to do. Of-course the most conventional most people who DON'T know anything about dks presume that frost is tanking spec. But it is the easiest one to learn and hold aggro with. SO ALL SPECS CAN TANK and hold aggro well learn ur class and stfu and gtfo! dobber!

I always intended to tank on my DK, from the time Wrath released to Ulduar I tanked as Unholy, which worked quite well (especially for fights like Sarth with drakes up) however now in Ulduar I find Blood to be much more to my liking.

I still tank, just now it's in Blood rather than Unholy. I like Blood a lot, I'm out MT. Blood gives a LOT of survivability and single target threat. You have to work a lot harder for AE threat than Unholy or Frost though.

I could not agree with you more. Though I have to say the changes to Blood Boil recently "helped" though didn't really alleviate the problem.
