that's great. the ramones stuff really lends itself to rockabilly, it sounds very authentic (btw, check rancid's accoustic cover of "oh oh i love her so"; it came out rockabilly imho). the clash stuff is NOT rockabilly; its psychobilly (altho its rare for psychobilly to be political...). pretty good tho.

Don't know if it's the quality of the musicianship but it seems that doing rockabilly versions of a rockabilly influenced band doesn't work but rockabilly versions of a doowop influenced band really does. Love The Ramones stuff.

the ramones sound realy good - as if these songs were written in rockabilly style! but clash songs are way too original, so even if you put a slap bass in the background and change a rythm a little bit - it doesn' t change much - it still sounds like late 70s brittish punk, not rockabilly..
