  • I love these videos, I wish more could be made.

  • How many trains average are there on one layout?

  • approximately how big are these layouts?

  • Is there preserved steam locomotive's in American or have they all gone.

  • I wish I had the skills to build something as incredible as this (although I would assume that it would take several days)

  • My 3-year-old is obsessed with Trains Across America. Thank you for a fun video series!

  • i love trains

  • is that your layout

  • when is the 30 episode coming out ?

  • My son loves your videos. We're watching them all the way through. I hope this is good. :)

  • where does the sound effects come from

    Greetings Koki Zelaya

  • This is a great little series. Thanks for sharing these videos for our viewing pleasure. I'm new to the world of "G" scale railroading and loving every minute of it. I have not been able to find dummies? Are these usually an old engine with the gutts removed? Thanks and again... great video series!

  • Simply superb.

  • chesepeke trains need no tracks at 0:19 or atleast it looks like its not on any tracks

  • very good job...and what an amazing model!!!

  • I'm a novice model railroader and I had a question. How do you manage to have multiple locomotives in a consist? Every time I try that I get over powered and my trains go too fast. Do I need a new controller?

  • @RacoCooper - Usually, two or more locos in a lashup tend to draw power off each other and run slower collectively. I have never heard of a controller that makes multiple lashups of model locos run faster. What sort of controller do you have?

  • Think trains, when it positively, absolutely doesn't have to be there at any specific date or time. The real ones are about as slow as the models!!!

  • im getiing a massive model railway build shortly cant wait

  • Cool!!! I have a full freight layout! I have 48 auto racks with 1 dash 9 and 2 SD40-2's!

  • I live in Billings,Montana and I just wanted to say that I've seen the Yard there and it looks like yours. Good Job on the Videos By the Way!!!!

  • i love trains and model railroading, i live in oelwein iowa, one of the towns in iowa where use to be nothing but rock island rails, we still have one of the large buildings where trains were worked on and the turn table aint here anymore, we still have some old history come check it out, i got to controle a chicago nearthearn railway deisel loco twice in 2 years very good experiance

  • I have added all your videos to my playlist I love your model trains. I am a fan of Southern Pacific

  • wow how many sets do you have?

  • TrainSpotterX invites you to view trains of australia .... over 100 videos to view.

  • I have no particular interest in model trains but I really was fascinated by this. What a wonderful series of videos! 5 stars! <3

  • when I hit the lotto I would like to talk to you. Nice video!

  • awsome vid best train video i have ever seen

  • wow what awesome sounds!

  • Excellent EMD engine sounds!

  • really good sounds

  • Very cool trains. I love 'em all! :D

  • Cab Ride!!!! Cab Ride!! Camera on train!!!!

  • Cool idea with the TTA episodes. How do you and the other modelers that participate in the series know which exact cars, loads and sometimes locos are to be shown?

  • Great concept fellas! Hope your having fun with it! Great editing with the sound effects. I still need to weather those freight cars! At least weather the shiny wheels, overall looks pretty good, worth the time to put these together, nice job! A+++++

  • I love these displays, I go to the mall every year and watch them.

  • Dull??? Men take toys into the realm of reality. Ever spent more than $1500.00 on an RC plane?? I have, and this layout rocks!!

    What It Takes To Run

    Nice Work Fella's

  • at 1:58 near the upper right corner were did u get that gn hopper??

  • I am not sure. That woodchip car was donated to the club a few years ago. I think it was originaly manufactured by either MDC Roundhouse, or E&C Shops.

  • I belive the INSHOME layout in Spokane Washington is also open to the public.

  • All the layouts in all episodes of this seris are opened for public?

    Where are located this layouts?

  • Not all layouts are public. The one in this video is. Its located in Billings, Montana USA

  • great video!!! :)

  • where are their clubs and who own the layout or do u all pich in when building it

  • You would have to ask your local hobby shop where clubs are located in your area.

The layout is owned by the club, and the membership dues pay for the materials.

  • What code of track is used in the yard and mainline?

  • Its all Atlas code 100

  • you have the best club layout i have ever seen please keep making trains across america its awsome

  • Thanks! The layout is not very good at all, though I try to make it look good on video.

Trains Across America should likely go on forever, however slow it may be between episodes...

  • what tipe of coupling has these locomotives? because i have frateschi model and the couplings are manual, but your models have automatic coupling

Excelente locomotives, y really like the video

  • My Son loves this cos its got trains lol

  • the sound effects are cool but u should get a sound

  • What kind of track and uncouplers do you use?

  • Its Atlas code 100 track and we use Kadee magnets for uncoupling.

  • cool

  • what # are the Santa Fe's?

  • I am not sure, they aren't my units.

  • nice job btw

  • watch and sub for BNSFnick

  • nice. go america!

  • i have that same blue rail link caboose to the right at 2:48

  • nice layout

  • Very cool layout!

  • Is this layout DCC and if so dow did you get the locos to run forward and backwards in the consist?

  • Yes it's DCC. Digitrax. You need to set the direction of each loco prior to consisting. If you are using a Digitrax system, contact me and I can be more specific.

  • What a great idea! What guage is this?

  • This is HO scale. Thanks!

  • H0 scale: the most popular one out there. Greatly more detailed than the larger ones, much smaller, easiest to work with, reasonable price (cheaper than the larger ones), thats about all i can think of

  • NICE VID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Thanks!

  • ya know what i just realized! you had wide cabs in your intro!!!

  • Great video. Nice yard. Good job switching!

  • awsome santa fe

  • Very nicely done. Great editing too. Loved all the switching.

  • Where can I get one they are discontinued

  • The only chance you may have, is to visit eBay, or attend train show and swap meets. Hopefully Athearn will re-run the ATSF models in the future.

  • thnx

  • what is the name of the song in the beginning of ur series?? cuz i want it so bad for me to listen to.

  • Song for America, by Kansas

  • Is that an Athearn GP40X? at 3:19?

  • Yep!

  • How do you unhook them? without touching them. or do you just do a really good job with your vids?

  • lol, some of the uncoupling in the vid IS edited, but there is a magnet that is placed beteween the tracks, which opens the knuckle on magnetic couplers.

  • Cool can't wait for Part 2

  • double thumbs up! great!

  • great great great

  • Who and when is part 2 coming out?
