Bouncin' and Jumpin' played this on KSAN, and KWBR in The Bay Area. We thought Smokey Joe was a Black singer, but he is white. A lot of people think "All Shook Up" by Elvis has a similar sound to "The Signifying Monkey." Take a listen and hear what you see. They played this a lot at Jefferson H. S. in Daly City at lunch time where I attended H. S. in '55 & '56. '55 was the year R&B took over the Popular Music Sound (Billboard Magazine article).

Cool side! You need to combine the left and right channels and that'll cut the noise. But aside, that is a cool side. Heard it years ago. Cheers!
