@ATJakee Yes it'll be a Intamin launch coaster which will gave trains painted to look like Cheetahs. The name is Cheetah's Hunt as you're supposed to be the Cheetah on the hunt for it's prey while you're riding.

@rollercoasterfan97 Typically Busch Gardens waits till the last minute or until something critical has been leaked out. I can remember they waited until Sheikra's ride structure was being erected onsite before they announced what it was. As for this ride, it's already been leaked that it will be a launched steel coaster from Intamin with three launch zones and maybe 3 inversions.

soooo are they getting rid of Skyride? Because its been closed for the longest time due to "Essential maintenance"

and we were walking to Montu today and noticed those Pixle, bar code things on the wall, so we took a picture of 6 of them (couldnt find the 7th) and it gave us hints. I basically figured out by the 3rd clue that it would be launched.

@ScotvstheWorld Ive heard that same thing as well. From what I've heard, this is supposed to be a triple launch coaster possibly from Intamin. There is a launched coaster from Intamin at Sux Flags Great Adventure called Kingda Ka which means King of the Jungle if I remember it correctly. I wonder what Cheeta Ka means.

Are the sky rides and railroad closed now (as of 7/25/10) if so will they re-open? Will it affect Egypt, and Will it reduce space for The Sarengeti Animals? I don't want any of these features to be ruined because i'm going to busch gardens this week. I hope this turns out great.

@barbiegirlsworldXD Well, the Skyride is now closed through the end of the year, the Serengeti Express is open and the new coaster shouldn't reduce the space of the plains at all, and Egypt will not be affected at all

@YEE941 I don't think it's going to be a B&M coaster as they don't do launched coaster, yet. You might say the Hulk at IOA is a B&M coaster and yes it i, but Intamin designed the launch system. So far, the rumor mill is saying that this coaster will be a launched coaster with three launch zones from Intamin.

from what ive heard its gonna be pretty close to the maverick coaster at cedar point. so if you want an idea of what the ride could possibly be like go look up the maverick roller coaster.

The new bridge that's located south of Rhino Rally is most likely going to be one of the most interesting places of the park. I predict this because there's a bit of land constructed under the bridge that has two iron plates holding the rest of the land together. But the middle of the site is filled with grass for guests to not notice the construction easily. When they remove the excess land, a section of the new coaster will slip right under the bridge! I hope it's the coaster...

I did some looking and while the new coaster wasn't confirmed on that site, it was mentioned along with some new sections to the animal display area. I agree that losing the skyride would be very sad. It is a very nice part of the park since it's one thing I do ride.

@SoltauCruiser No problem. Somone estimated that the track length would be around 4,653ft/1,418.23m long. It's really going to be somthing to see and ride once it's completed.

A B&M launch? The Hulk is a B&M but Intamin made the launch section, right? I'm surprised B&M have chosen to not build any launch coasters by themselves, they are really missing out on a lot of business there. Maybe this will be their first.

If it's a launch coaster I could easily see it being similar in nature to Maverick at Cedar Point. I think that Intamin has the best reputation for new and innovative designs at this point. A coaster from them would be a great addition.

@Hieagandaus Actually, the new coaster will only cross under the Skyway twice. The Skyway would also give me some grat off ride shots of the new coaster once it's open. The Skyway is also still very popular during the summer months as well.

@vonrollskyway1 Me to. I think it'll be around for a while longer. The shurest sign of a ride that's about to be removed is a lack of maintenance and overall upkeep like painting the ride. I noticed this just before they removed the Python when the Python was the only ride that wasn't painted. Fortunately, the Skyride still seems to be well maintained. I still plan on emailing BGA to let them know someone wants the ride to stay :)
