i think it works better on light skin...im darkskinned and like you said...its hit or miss. i have colors in my 32 elf bright palette that i love but others that i never use. i think its because of my skintone. and like you said, some of them are chalky and messy...but you can work with them

You day #4, #1 looks weren't bad...I haven't had good luck w/their shadows either...Now the Flirt Palette from Kohls wasn't bad at all.... Thanks for sharing

I was super tempted to purchase these shadows but I didn't and Thank Gawd ! BH Cosmetics are awesome for cheap shadows that are great quality IMO.
