this video helped me a lot since i am diagnosed with hypertension at an early age... i am working on eating fruits/vegies that would help me lower my blood pressure in a natural way because i am planning on not taking my prescribed med for my own purposes... :) thanks so much for sharing this.
The first thing to appreciate is high blood pressure is NOT a disease. If it was jogging, lifting weights, standing up ans walking up stairs would be forbidden by your doctor.
The key is to work out why your blood pressure is high.
Nutrient deficiency, hard arteries, stress, are all causes, but the solution is not drugs.
Check: Vitamin D3, Magnesium, Vtamin K2 levels first. These are very common causes. Then check calcium, other Vitamins and Potassium/Sodium balance.
Hey there! Have you thought about intellectus diet (do a search on google for intellectus424dietcom)? Ive heard some great things about it and my mate lost a ton of weight with it.
LISTEN!!!! The man said don't do potassium suppliments. Eat whole foods high in potassium and you'll do fine. Maybe try banana and kiwi smoothies. I like to add other whole foods such as pumpkin seeds, alfalfa tablets, bee pollen, and some berries to fight free radicals. LOL
I like Expertvillage, but those watching this need to be sure to not go too heavy on the potassium!! Excessively high amounts of potassium is bad for the heart, and can cause rhythm problems. Potassium is good, but check with your doctor and make sure your serum (blood) potassium doesnt get too high!! I am not a doctor, or anyone medical, but I am into sports, and know this from experience, and learned from my cardiologist!! :-)
@ZR1Terror No you wont! I found out I had high BP at that age. I been on HBP medicine every since. Just seems to be a heredity thing with lots of people. All my blood kin had it. Anyway, stay off salt, fatty foods, try to walk instead of ride, park the car far away from the stores you shop. I great cheap BP med I loved is Hydochlorathiazide, a water pill. I am now 59, BP under control, normal weight, and ride my bicycle alot. Maybe you were being sarcastic with your comment, wanted to help.
@OldTimerGuy58 That day I was pretty scared because for some reason my blood pressure was higher than normal, maybe too much salt and stress combined, but when I am not stressed out or in the morning before eating, my normal numbers were 140/80 but I went to the doctor and they gave me lisinopril and now my numbers are in the 120's and hight 60's/low 70's. I bought a bike and I ride it 3 times a week and I have being lifting weights for 6 months 3 times a week, and watch my sodium intake. : )
@ZR1Terror I was on Lisonopril for a while. It gave me a dry cough, which is one of the fairly common side effects. Doesnt hurt anything, but the cough was annoying to me, and my wife. I am almost 60 years old, and ride a road bike in charity rides, and social groups with younger riders. It is a struggle to keep up, but I do ok. A BP of 140/80 is still a tad high (borderline). I like mine around 120/60. If BP is too low, you get dizzy, and kidneys suffer, too high, and heart suffers.
@powerlifted Yes, a potassium imbalance gave me PVCs (Pre Ventricular Contractions). A med comment repeat on here, if you have high blood pressure, getting the BP med Hydrachlorathiazide, which is a inexpensive water pill, will reduce your BP! It will make you urinate more. The increased urination will lower your serum Potassium. I know, your post is 3 months old, but wanted to help if I could. Over a long time, it caused me too low potassium, unfortunately, had to get off HCTZ med.
@powerlifted You are welcome. Please, it is important you get your potassium down! High potassium is bad for the heart, and high potassium will cause irregular heart rhythm. Low potassium will too, as in my case. I hope my info will help you. I am not a doctor, but know this from my experience. Oh!! another thing, magnesium oxide supplement, can help some people with PVCs, or irregular hear rhythm!! I take 400 mg tablet cardiologist prescribed prescription every day!
fresh lemon with warm water, first thing in the morning will bring your metabolism up. lemons help clean the blood. lower cholestrol, and blood pressure. the warm water the body will use readily, and help clean the colon.
Thanks for this - great video and very well presented. I've been aware of the sodium / potassium balance issue for ages. I've used this as an embed over at my own site.
I was recently diagnosed with moderate to high blood pressure(140/85) and after much research I decided to try a natural remedy as i was very wary about prescription drugs to control blood pressure and their potential side effects. After research on the internet i found out about LEVODYN and the positive reviews it has so i decided to try it and it was amazing after only a few weeks to a month my blood pressure started to fall. Now my blood pressure is currently on average 125/75.
