not impressed, a big point of an electric vehicle i feel is the silence of the motor, but you used a chain, which is a horrible sound, rather have a nice sounding gas guzzler. What is the top speed?? because it does not seem very fast as all. other than the 1900 dollar motor kit you bought, the kart is very basic.

@garbizwal dont think this guy will tell you but the thing is made of electric golf cart parts, the controller, the motor is made by D&D motor systems Inc and he pumps 72 volts into it via 6 12v batteries connected in series. thats it unfortunatly. Grab yourself a 24v 6kW starter motor and do it on the cheap.

Nice job! on the cart! I found a cart at a yard sale, a home made of square tube, and well built, but lacked a engine, and needed tires. found a early citi car differential with the 36v motor, and bolted it to the frame, welded spindles from a golf car to the front. and added the golf wheels to the cart. real fun to drive but only hit,s forty mph. want to install a 3ph 2 hp motor on the diff, and run it from a inverter/vfd combo to get it faster, and reduce the weight. ? how fast will your, go?
