This game was terrible. But given the technology at the time. It was the only way to feed that world domination appetite that exists in every male. This game even allowed you to marry wives from all over the planet. HAHAHA
Childhood game. I used to spare up (took a long time) a 999 archer army and conquer the next country with a few shots at their general. Then take direct control and do the same all over again. All countries on direct control because governours were untrustworthy.
@asalade Its true, this game was completely steamrolled by anyone who made 1 large unit of archers, fully fed. Otherwise, it was excellent since there were so many options for building up your bases, etc.
There was never a Genghis Khan 3 or 4 right? Anyway, I think this one had better managment for troops than the 2nd. The 2nd was fun when you could name your own children (reminds me of a Dane Cook joke). i.e.-Name your son: "Optimus Prime...What a wonder name!"

I've played all the Romance of three kingdoms but only one Genghis Khan game. It was Genghis Khan 4. Wow... this first one looks almost as same as the first Romance of three kingdoms.. :) Interesting!
