A great piece, very well played. So sad to hear of John's death. I had just come across this video by chance. A brilliant musician, tragically taken from the world way too soon.
A HUGE talent and a HUGE heart in a humble and gentle being. I will miss our talks at the Portland Uke Festival. I figure you were called to a special performance somewhere in the universe. Rest in Peace. Your beautiful music will continue to inspire and awe those you leave behind.

It is with deep sadness to inform you that John (a teaching colleague of mine at Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, Florida) passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on April 3, 2009.
May you forever rest in peace, John, and may your exemplary playing continue to thrill and entertain YouTubers around the globe!

Thanks for your kind comment. I use regular GCEA, my-dog-has-fleas re-entrant tuning.
