yeah. wonderful composition by Rev. Brewster and wonderful lead by Mrs. Williams and heart-stirring vocals by the Ward Singers. I'm taken as always by the superb vocals of the Old Ward Singers. Thank you.
PS49 -- Do you have any recordings of the first Ward Singers, comprised of just mother Gertrude and teenage daughters Willarene and Clara? If so, please post them.
You're right, it is. But if anyone could do it, it's you, PS29! It may not be possible to find anything at this point.
This initial version of the Ward Family Singers was started by Mrs. Gertrude Ward in 1931, when Clara was seven years old and Willarene was nine. It was just the three of them. That was the composition of the group thoughout the 1930s and into the early '40s.
Wow! what a honor to be held as the old gospel music finder. lol. Thank you. I tell you what I will reach back into the studio and talk to some of my old co-workers and see what we can come up with. I'll keep you posted. Snowman!!!
you right, I meant Jacob. I just loved a loved one and I was thinking about Job and his patience and what it means to wait. A lot of times, we type stuff, with good intentions and we know what we're talking about, but other stuff be on your mind.
Tim, you are so correct. You should see that look in my eyes, when I'm thinking what to post next. lol. It's just like baking a cake, sometimes I have to find the ingredients, cause they been hidden for so long. lol.
Yeah, and so are you, Small Fry. lol. You been posting all my good Davis Sisters songs. I don't even have a chance anymore. lol. laughing so hard at myself. Thanks.
I hope everyone this song. This record is 55years old. So the sound may not be the best. I love the high note Marion Williams hit at the end of this song.

That note that Marion sings near the end is the D two octaves and one note above middle C on the piano -- seventeen full steps above middle C.
