I was about as excited about a new single as I'd ever been when this song came out. I was just learning the guitar and so happy playing the pull of lick during the chorus. My Own Prison was such a masterpiece and a prelude to what was to come. Tremonti is a genius!

I just saw Creed in Pittsburgh. I am not a fanatic but liked their songs for the symbolism of religion which can also have secualar meaning. I grew up in an Assemblies of God church like Scott and I know why he struggled with how to solve his problems, through faith or reason

Both bands were good, they were two different bands that had two different purposes.

Creed had more meaningful songs with better melodic hooks so they made more money,

Atlar Bridge had a great singer with well made music but the songs were well made basic altar rock songs with no real memorable melodic hooks, so they didn't go as far as Creed. Lots of bands have good singers but if the music isn't that original.......

Creed is awesome. They are not even on the same label. See them as 2 bands like you would any other. Stop comparing...so they have the same musicians...so what. The guys were young when they had problems they are all in there mid to late 30's and this is the prime time to do the Creed thing. They'd be nuts not to go for it again. I say AB experience + Creed union & fan base = kick ass. I personally think that Creed's second coming will be bigger and better. It takes alot of creative energy writing songs/riffs etc. AB r a vague natural extension of Creed - the riffs & Marks playing r the same but further developed. They r not 2 totally different bands. So by spending time writing riffs & songs for Creed he is taking away from AB, cos they could be the basis of AB songs. So AB loses out.

AB moves me, Creed don't. They used to back in the day until I realised the music wasn't all that great & very pretentious. (MOP aside). AB r an amazing band with amazing songs. The tour will suck, they will break up & AB will return because Myles can outsing Stapp anyday of the week. Thats why Led Zep asked him to join them if they tour.
