I know a lotta poeple blame truckers for driving line retards...and trust me, some REALLY do...I work with a lot of them. They just see that extra load at the end of the day and claim bragging rights on getting more loads. I lay claim to bragging rights about driving slow, not busting up the gear, not missing gears, saving fuel.....the kinda stuff that employers want from truck drivers. I mean if I am getting paid by the hour, why speed?

what I saw was you keeping this guy from passing you on the shoulder and driving in a manner that was unsafe. This driver could have been going to the hosp, responding to a sickness in the family ect. You should have held your lane and allowed him to pass. Driving is not a game and if you continue to try to play games while driving this kind of thing will continue to happen to you.He should not have hit you, but you did force his hand.

@xdr8390 yes we know the laws, but its also expected and a law in all countries that exercise the international signage and marking requirements that you operate your car in a safe manner and to avoid collisions. This guy blocking the other driver was forcing a situation. I would have yealded to the right side of road and then backed off the car in front of me to be sure not to hit any one if they wrecked in front of me, its not our jobs to regulate traffic, He added to an unsafe situation
