My sister's cat Orphie-Pest used to travel with us wearing a harness like that. However, she was a bit more lazy than Loki. She preferred to ride on my sister's shoulder like a warped monkey with sharp claws.

Hysterical when she met new people. They no sooner mention the cat when the cat is jumping over to climb on THEM. A few scratches around, but the guy she jumped was going to be a Marine anyway. He could use the experiece fending off attacks. ;)

Leash training is an excellent idea. Getting the cat used to a harness and leash will make it fee completely natural with it on. If a person were to move someplace, or go on a trip, it would be a good idea to have the cat on a leash with harness, for the safety of the cat AND peace of mind for the owner. If anyone has ever held a terrified/confused cat, they know exactly how they react...like the tasmanian devil in your hands lol.
