@gianniswildchild They are thinner, yes. Compared to something like a strat, it's probs around 1cm thinner, I'd say.

@geicowithdagheko1 I do, but I don't really think it plays a huge part when thinking of the ideas: usually the ideas come to mind with at least a couple layers already. I was trained formally as a classical pianist (I suck at it these days), so the voicings and harmonies that sound "right" to me might stem from there as well - theory is like grammar: you don't think about it when you speak. :)

@Jebakul Haha! That's white ebony, actually. Not too common, this one. The Sherman is what people call pale moon ebony, like my Decibel. :)

Hey man, awesome demonstration of the guitar, sounds freaking insane. I have always thought that Blackmachines were the most awesome guitars out there, and i would like to get one someday. Do you know if Doug will be taking orders again, or has he completely stopped making Blackmachines?

@bechboy94 Doug's not taking any orders at the moment, as he's building the guitars to quell the waiting list. I honestly doubt he'll ever stop building them, but for now, no new orders are accepted, that's all (the list was really getting insanely long, to be honest). I'd keep an eye on his site to see if there any changes to this situation. :)

@Shi7Disc0 Because, amongst other factors, the fact of them being handmade, Doug actually scrapping guitars that he doesn't feel to be exemplary, and the woods he uses. Not too relevant at the moment, as he's not taking orders at all.

@H3lloSE In time. To be honest, considering my recording rig is basically an iMac, Eleven Rack and Axe FX, there's not that much in the way of gear touring in that aspect. I do own some cool amps and stuff, though. :)
