  • @cymria woooaaaahhhh buddy.......... Wooaaah. Think about what you are saying, rik BLOWS Alex away.........I wouldn't say so. Yes, I agree Emmett is an all time great, but Alex is a mastermind of guitar and plays like no other. He doesn't need to play classical (although he somewhat has before) because he has created his own sound and style of play. I'm not saying Alex blows rik out of the water, but you should rethink your comment

  • Triumph kicks ass!!!!!

  • This was incredible. I wondered if they'd ever get back together at all - and worse...if they would sound the same. This proves that they haven't lost much of that original "power" - thanks for posting.

  • never cease to amaze-30 yrs later

  • I hope things rebound enough in the economy for these guys to do the reunion. Mike Levine recently said that they are still all agreed to do it, but they want to do it when the economy rebounds and their audiences wont have to decide between paying their rent/mortgage or a triumph ticket...I get that but It still sucks. I wanna see them so bad!!!!!! Rik Emmett is Canada's greatest guitarist!!!!

  • @ieetemos4breakfast Rick Emmett is Canada's SECOND greatest guitarist!!

  • who do you think is first then?

  • @ieetemos4breakfast Alex Lifeson, of course.

  • @jrock2264 I will disagree. Rush is my all time favourtie band, has the best drummer and bass player, but I think Rik plays circles around Alex. Alex is great though/

  • @ieetemos4breakfast Well, Rick probably is a better LEAD guitarist but I think Alex is a better overall guitarist, more creative. Alex plays things that nobody has ever even heard of before. I guess it just depends on how you define "better." BTW, you're Canadian, aren't you?

  • Yes I am Canadian. Does that Matter? Rush and Triumph are 2 of my favorite bands, but I also like Genesis and The Police.

  • @ieetemos4breakfast No, it doesn't matter....I just guessed you were by the way you spelled favorite (favourite). BTW, I love Genesis, too, and I like the Police. Saw both of them on thier last tours.

  • lucky you! I missed The Police when they came and Genesis didnt come to my city in 2007. But I have both the DVDs from those tours. Some of the best DVDs I have. If Triumph Tours again, I dont care if they dont come to my city, but I'll be seeing them. I can only keep hoping!!

  • @jrock2264 Ummmm......Rick Emmet blows Alex Lifeson away! Alex can't play classical.....Emmet is one of the best guitarists in the world....too bad hid ego fucked him over.....

  • Wish it was only Rik playing guitar, they don't need anybody else. Sounds great!!

  • Look up the US festival 1983. best performance of this song ever.

  • Vocals.100 %

  • This is nice.

  • Anybody know if there are any future plans for Triumph? I know Rik's website has touched on it...very little though.

  • @thebalogas reported that they would tour with van halen in 2011.

  • In reference to Triumph at the US festival in 1983: If they would have played at night, they would have blown everyone away, bc there has been no one before or since, who have a complete perforance as they have, espeically the light show.

  • someone asked how old the bassist was, he is 59 now, as is the drummer, and rik is 57

  • Who the heck is on 2nd guitar. I can't stand his acting.

  • @specfever Dave Dunlop!

  • @specfever Thats Dave Dunlop man, he works with Rik Emmett in his solo work. He's an amazing guitarist aswell.

  • Rik can't hit the high notes like he used to, but still does a decent job with his matured deeper sounding voice.

  • @ipsofacto297

Still damn good for his age tho!

    cheers!

  • QUÉ, ROLON

  • Can anyone tell me how old the bassist is?

  • 1983 us festival,they stole the show,

  • @evelskunny They were the show!

  • I was supposed to marry Rik in the 80's. I just don't know what happened........LOL!!!

  • I was literally in tears...I never thought I'd see them togeather again. Welcome back!

  • I saw these guys live in Vancouver back in early 1983, love this band!

  • aww his voice isnt the same </3

  • @BALLERQUEEN REally? I don't know anyone's voice that stays the same for 25 years, sans Dio.

  • @cincyrocked peter frampton

  • @cincyrocked Listen to Paul Rodgers of Bad Company. He still sounds exactly the same today.

  • Can't wait for 2009 World Tour!!!!

  • There touring in 2009!?! i hope so i never got to see them only Rik Emmett solo
