I was originally going to get the Q6600 for my new PC, but I'm now waiting on the Q9450. When released, the Q9450 won't be too much more expensive than the Q6600 and the Q9450 will have much better performance (Q6600 to Q9450: 65nm to 45nm, 2.40 GHz to 2.66 GHz, 1066 MHz to 1333 MHz, 8MB L2 Cache to 12MB L2 Cache). Compare the specs and wait for those new 45nm processors.
Exactly the same thing here. I was going to buy the Q6600, but then I heard about the Q9450 and had to get that instead. Faster, cooler, more efficient. What more could you ask?
Cant wait til they get right down, and figure out how to avoid the quantum tunnelling issues with SETs, will make these transistors looks enormious in comparison, and by then, we wont really be able to make them any smaller!

These fuckers, fucking Pricks, delayed this Penyrn Q9450 and others. U don;t set out a date and then don't go by it, fucking asshole. Now im going with something else. Their going to loose their business and I hope they fail against AMD.
Ohter meaning what? Other than q9450 and all, or? By the way I called Intel Canada today to confirm just for my satisfation and the guy told me that q9450 etc.. are already all set out being released, which means rumours on the net are false??

I'm going to wait for the q9450 too; cooler and according to tests 10-15% faster and 1333FSB.

y wait for that get the core i7 instead

I have the Q6600 but cause I have the G33-DS3R that supports 45nm and 1333Mhz FSB I'll be able to update :P

@ default q9450 is better than q6600. But q6600 has a higher multiplier (9 vs. 8)So if you want to overclock your CPU, then q6600 is better.
