If you take this guy's argument to its logical conclusion, then why grant the Fed a MONOPOLY on money-printing? Why not just LET EVERYBODY PRINT THEIR OWN DOLLARS, since that would be the "free market" way of letting people satisfy their DEMAND for more "currency." Just because there is a DEMAND for money, doesn't mean people anybody should be entitled to COUNTERFEIT it, whether the Fed or any other institution. And just because the Fed is buying up ASSETS doesn't change the nature of it.
