well... i can see something weard on this video, this guy did not mentioned the Impedance of the subs, if both subs are 4ohm then plugging both in parallel you will have 2ohms plugged to the amplifier, but if both are 8ohms you will have ohms plugged to the amp, almost all A/B ampliffiers are bridgeable but only stable at 4ohms when bridged, so if you plugg 2 ohms to a bridgeable at 4 ohms amp. you're in risk to blow your amp off and burn it, so we need to watch out that.
so if i buy 2 rockford fogate p1 15" with 1728watt rms and wanting to run 3500 watts total how would i hook it up so its giving off power equally to each sub, like both at 1750watts?
Or if you have a bassworkz box run speaker wiring from the two extra bottom connectors over to the two bottom connectors of the other sub then plug in the one speaker wire running from the amp into either side of the top speaker connecters :)
i have 2 single voice coil subwoofers that are 4 ohms.how do i wire them to be 2 ohms eatch even though they are single voice coils.thanks alot i really need help and i have a 1800 watt boss amplfier runing 900 watt rms so if i hook both my subwoofers will they both get 900 watts rms or do they divide the 900 watts into the 2 subwoofers so 450 to eatch?thanks alot
@Kirby00216 hey what do u mean watts are divided .i have 4 dual 4 ohm 12 inch boss subwofers and im wanting to wire them down to 2 ohms or 1 ohm if i can and i wud appreciate it.each subwoofer is 2000 watts earch peak and 1000 watt rms so thats a total of 8000 watts peak and 4000 watts rms so wud a 1 channel power accoustik bamf 5500 watt be able to power all of them?thanks alot for your help

Also to everyonw watching you cant "Bridge Subs" you can wire them in Parallel which he is saying. Wiring the subs parallel and bridging at the amp so this doesn't confuse anyone.
That is just wiring in parallel, and you can bridge a 2 channel amplifier, but some are only stable at 4 ohms, in this cae wire a DVC subwoofer in series to its self (if its a 4 ohm subwoofer, it will be in at 8 ohms) and then you do the same with the other. Then wire them in parallel to the amplifier for a final impedance, of 4 ohms.
i'v got a 4ohm kenwood sub, and i want to bridge it to a 2ch pioneer (4ohm) amp.. but if i bridge it will that lower the subs impedance to 2 ohms? if so is that a bad thing?
i dont think he explained that quite right because i see no difference to that and seting it up in stereo with a y cable on the inputs. all he has done is paralled the drivers.
i mean what is the advantage of using bridge mode vs parallel???

@amritaka2qw32 yes. just get the right ohm impedance to match the amp. if wired in series, you add the ohm impedance of the two subs. if wired in parallel (recommended) the ohm impedance of the two is the product divided by the sum. so if your amp's recommended output at 2 ohms, get two 4 ohm subs wire them in parallel and 4x4/4+4=16/8=2ohm and there you go. if the amp works best at 1 ohm, get two 2 ohm subs and wire in parallel to 1 ohm.
@37042mike Man, your speaking another fucking language to me. I just spent some good money on my system, and its on the way. I hope its the right shit.

@commadorebeef & p.s re:- YOUR "ears" telling U that my LIGHTS (wired direct off different speakers) ARE ALL on the same mono ch as U only hear "mono"- then go ask YOUR M8 (the SON of Ray Rayburn)- this Question-? WHY did Ethan Winer @EthanWiner - put UP a video (called) Audio Myths workshop (from the October 2009 AES show in New York where In that vid U will hear what phase shift sounds like, learn about proper test methods, understand why UR hearing isnt as reliable as test gear, & much more)
All that I have done- much LIKE the way I treat those whom try to extract "specific" wiring schematics from me...? Is to extremely ABUSE all of the principals... of not just
Ohms, but of Faradays & Einsteins ... along with MANY "others" intricate electrical, electronic, electrospectrographic & electromagnetic theories...
Always discovering easier & easier ways in which to "create" MEGA multiples
of basically BESHIVED "constructions"- not in six sided "beeswax" but in tetrahedronal pyramidal "castles" of complicated circuits- EACH entirely DIFFERENT- on totally variagated PHASE angles, rotations, polarities (even effective linear "planes") until I reach my objective .!.
Thus.. when I "connect" together two subwoofers.. I don't FOLLOW the flock- of docile domesticated SHEEP .. wandering down the hill to the local abbatoir ..
Oh no.. I wade in... with bucket_fulls of cables .. plowing deep furrows across the landscape .. pushing sideways through the rest of you .. Climbing trees, crawling through tunnels .. unttil I WIRE .. my two subbies .. the way i want them to work.
@QUIX4U then stands back - enjoying roast mutton on the spit ... as I enjoy the songs of the wires .. belting OUT from maybe 20 - maybe fifty.. entirely DIFFERENT channels .. (from my old almost pre-historic OLD National transistor STEREO FM radio...?
@commadorebeef Yes- my videos are DELIBERTELY "inconclusive" as you so eloquently observed (& thankyou- as my deliberate evasion of "actual" circuitry knowledges- has truely worked)
I do NOT_WANT to "show" anyone ENOUGH of my surround systems internal workings (which incidentally- even a 2yr old git- could "actually" wire_up- if the correct cuircuitry were known)
Thus I often LAUGH whole heartedly at "people"- whom ASSUME (incorrectly) that MY WAY is sophisticated and technologically advanced?
@commadorebeef ? so - HOW does that - correlate to YOUR OWN "mono" cellphjone's RAMPANT cancellation problems...?
As each and EVERY frequency - is inhereantly differently 'cycled" - whether JUST played via one speaker - or from thousands separately... (but more so - when just ONE speaker struggles with them all)
Yes.. sadly YOU forget that wee minor hiccup eh? ever SEE a graghics pictorial - if the interaction & addition . dissention - between different frequencies
@commadorebeef ? How U say ? Well lets take a single TONE (as that would just DRIVE you completely "nuts" if it was the ONLY single tone available in the audio realm) It has an upward parabolic curve (& a "downward _mirrored" curve-in it's negative half cycle) NO intereaction there eh? BUT- as soon as you introduce ONE other tone- on a different frequency (& lets face it- MONO music has millions of frequencies) Each 1- in ONE cycle- pulls & pushes the other "differently" (Plus & Minus together)
@commadorebeef ? Because it is a NATURALLY OCCURRING PHENOMENUM in whatever audible hearing range YOUR EARS have always listened WITH- your own very complex "onboard_computor" knows the way to "filter these" (or at least Ur brain "aught" to KNOW by now) But ADD another 3rd tone "differently_cycled" yet again & BANG- 3 differently phased cycles each ADDING & SUBTRACTING & That's JUST inside Ur mono single speaker ;-)
But 1 speaker can ONLY go in & out (not sideways) where MY chs often ALSO go ?
@commadorebeef Then because U STILL forget about ALL of the different "shadow" harmonics- which add their OWN interactively "working" shadow cycles- to & fro into Ur MONO mixture with even more & more as a cacophony of frequencies transends your SINGLE cellphone speaker's capability ? & It's not surprising that U only get a dead pan "scream" of one apparent tone- from Ur cellphone? Me- My 2 eyes see multitudes of colours- in Double rainbows- Or on RGB TV screens (the same as my 2 ears SEE sound)
@commadorebeef The simplest way- to observe this phenomenum- AND- to prove or refute my hypothesis (as to WHAT sound does & doesn't do- AT ALL TIMES- irrespective of whether NATURALLY OCCURING- or squeezed together in compacted two ch stereo signal sources)
Just wander around a Poutlry Farm
YOU WILL be instantly able to "both" HEAR & Direction "location" PINPOINT that one scream- as the cat kills a hen- away across on a distant paddock (even WITH ALL the millions of hens- around your feet)
@commadorebeef Oh & if U ever "went" to school (for more than just sleeping)
Then U will have heard the hundreds of OTHER screaming maniacal "KIDS"- all trying to outdo "everyone" else- for sheer volume of YELLING vocals
And yet- I bet U2- could not only "hear" .&. direction_find (but internally "sensing_feel" it) ?
Yes
That one "moderatly" QUIET slapped face (behind the buildings) when some little "Romeo" tried sticking a few of his fingers- somewhere a Juliet didn't WANT him to put them?
@commadorebeef Like - I'm gona TELL how these work .. YEAH RIGHT - then u'd just go & MAKE your own .. hahaha . & who me...? freAking "out" .. he smiles
@commadorebeef Oh & if you cannot FIND the correct page at wikipedia ... to study IN DEPTH ... a little part of how my ACTUAL BRAIN WORKS .. then you had better simply try to wikipedia THIS.! Analytical_psychology (And) Right down at the BOTTOM of that page There .. is the actual "block_map" TABLE Of "Analytical_psychology" And of ALL the relevant modes of analysis Including Jung - Meyer's Briggs AND LOOK ..?.. The Keirsey Temperament Sorter (KTS)
Whilst U obviously lurv google searches try this for size
It's ME - 2aT
Go to wikipedia-
The Keirsey Temperament Sorter (KTS) Inventor Rational
With EVERY one of the Meyer's Briggs tests- that I have EVER done (& I do them frequently)- I never ever DIVERGE- from an ISFP (Introverted Sensing Feeling Perceiver) The Gentle Artist.?. But when taking The Keirsey Temperament Sorter (KTS) I always get.? The complete opposite- I'm an Inventor Rational (& that= ENTP)
@commadorebeef Unfortunately .. AS YOU CANNOT CORRECTLY SPELL THE QUEENS ENGLISH...
You have incorrectly "abused" an Americanism - which is .. in itself .. a registered variant TRADEMARK .. (and thus will never be the way - I use that word)
re:-
Analog Devices® and SoundMax® are registered trademarks of Analog Devices
@commadorebeef stereo / JUST ? 2chs... HELLO _! MONO means ONE
Stereo actually MEANS - MORE THAN ONE (which technically speaking - is actually inferreing MANY - & not just the basic standard ? two) STEREO - by it's own connotation therefore .. is that quantity .. whichever that describes to the best of YOUR ability .. to symbolise .. MORE THAN ONE (and sadly - YOU only know that - to mean JUST TWO)
@commadorebeef OMG ...! No wonder YOU couldn't find the unit... YOU cannot spell correctly.. (the original ENGLISH version - & not the bastardised americanism)
The word is "ANALOGUE" (and that UE is very important if you WANT to google correctly)..
Also ... the term is "DEPLEXER DECODER" ... (not just "decoder" which is far to vague)
OH . plus I only MAKE THESE - for specific clienteille - as and when needed ..
(thus) Neither will YOU find these as an item of mass manufacture world wide.?
@commadorebeef ? Are you by any chance accessing youtube- from a cellular telephone as they access youtube in DUAL MONO (& thus) that would explain your tendency- to complain that ALL of my videos are in pure mono & thus APPEAR as the same "mono" apparent- whenever you're "looking" at my videos .. OR- are you commenting upon MY "own" NOKIA cellphone's MONO audio tracks - on these .mp4 videos ? & thus AGAIN assuming ALL is one sound- coming from my system (TRY DESKTOP PC & 2ch stereo via my .WMV)
Sadly- all of @commadorebeef 's statements are erroneous. He tells U- that QUIX4U analogue surround sound DOES NOT EXIST & that Dolby is NOT virtual.[quote wikipedia] 5.1-channel Dolby Digital provides two surround channels to Dolby Surround's one for more precise localization of sounds and a more convincing, realistic ambiance [unquote] A MORE REALISTIC? Real surround is real "period". Dolby digital still needs to CREATE a realistic sound- & Thus means that it is still- FULLY VIRTUAL- "period")
@QUIX4U will tell U a simple truth .. (unlike a RECREATION of a virtual hypothesis... in digital format?) One cannot do as @commadorebeef suggests .. and lean a ladder against a VIRTUAL RECREATION .. in order to support said ladder against a ROOF which has not yet been built .. @QUIX4U will say that simple physics principals & triangulation methods (real methods) need to be used to PRE_BUILD a supporting structure to freestand the ladder - whilst U build said roof as - THE ANALOGUE METHOD RULES
Thankyou @eHow for a brilliant series of helpfull videos .. sadly - many OUT THERE - will never know of the full truth's that you (or myself) speak about .. and will sadly continue to stick their heads - up their virtual posteriors.
p.s- The reason as to why I "used" an example (of a roof unsupported by a VIRTUAL RECREATION) is quite simple actually (just like @commadorebeef ) It's because @commadorebeef has proven many times that he has absolutely no idea as to the importance or relevance of my using a VIRTUAL PICTURE for everyone else to thus LOL at "virtual" DIGITAL SURROUND recreations of those whom CLAIM that DIGITAL is superior in sound quality to the original analogue sinosidual waveform from which DIGITAL is sampled
Right sweet .. I'v done deleted all my responses to those directed directly at me - as spam .. by the windup artist of @commadorebeef ... and thus .. can safely say .. I at least have realised his sheer cussedness for spam .. and have removed mine .. as they although genuinely answering .. could in themselves also be seen in said spam 'light" .. thus - they're now ALL removed .. except for this one (at least I think ..I got them all?)
ok i have 2 12" kenwood KFC-W3012 subs and a kenwood KAC-9104D 1800watt monoblock i was wondering what the advantages of wiring them bridged instead of just pluging them in to the amp from the 2 sets of teminals in the back of my box are. does it just synchronize them when the subs bump?
@remi009340 there's not really any advantage either way, the only way to make sure the subs are synchronized is making sure you wire the polarity correctly. The reason they do that is so you can have different wiring configurations at the amplifier to get the correct amount of impedance without having to take the subs out of the box and rewire them inside
this fucker what does best is to talk and talk and talk making things complicated..i think ive learn more doing it myself than hearing this fucker staying out of saliva...
well... i can see something weard on this video, this guy did not mentioned the Impedance of the subs, if both subs are 4ohm then plugging both in parallel you will have 2ohms plugged to the amplifier, but if both are 8ohms you will have ohms plugged to the amp, almost all A/B ampliffiers are bridgeable but only stable at 4ohms when bridged, so if you plugg 2 ohms to a bridgeable at 4 ohms amp. you're in risk to blow your amp off and burn it, so we need to watch out that.

@unklepervert some older amps are bridgeable but the bottom line is what impedance you are trying to get to
example if your amp is bridgeable most are only 4 ohm stable if you are using single voice coil subs then you
would want 2 8 ohm subs & wire them in parallel. if you want to use 2 dual voice subs then you would want to
use dual 4 ohm subs & wire the voice coils in series & then parallel the subs & run the amp bridged & you would
be at a 4 ohm load.

WHY did Ethan Winer @EthanWiner - put UP a video (called) Audio Myths workshop (from the October 2009 AES show in New York where In that vid U will hear what phase shift sounds like, learn about proper test methods, understand why UR hearing isnt as reliable as test gear, & much more)
QUIX4U 1 year ago
Just the same- as TWO similar size bits of wire?
If laid side by side- 1M apart- around the entire USA?
& 1,000,000 VOLTS "DC" is applied to 1 set of terminal ends
(such that 1 wire is positive with respect to the other)
NO CURRECT CAN FLOW
Apart from a minute INSULATION "leakage" (mere milliamps)
BUT- connect an extremely HIGH "frequency" AC voltage- of even LOW VOLTAGE
& ALL that WHOLE circuit will ACT like a huge short
With "hi_current" CAPACITIVE currents
Simple Ohms Law actually.
QUIX4U 1 year ago
All that I have done- much LIKE the way I treat those whom try to extract "specific" wiring schematics from me...? Is to extremely ABUSE all of the principals... of not just
Ohms, but of Faradays & Einsteins ... along with MANY "others" intricate electrical, electronic, electrospectrographic & electromagnetic theories...
Until I found "my" own circuit.. that works ..
Um?
EXTREMELY SIMPLY.
QUIX4U 1 year ago
Actually- it's FUN
Trying to re-modify my OWN circuits
Always discovering easier & easier ways in which to "create" MEGA multiples
of basically BESHIVED "constructions"- not in six sided "beeswax" but in tetrahedronal pyramidal "castles" of complicated circuits- EACH entirely DIFFERENT- on totally variagated PHASE angles, rotations, polarities (even effective linear "planes") until I reach my objective .!.
Of a certain NUMBER of surrounding channels
Easey peasey 4ME
(impossible for you)
QUIX4U 1 year ago
Thus.. when I "connect" together two subwoofers..
QUIX4U 1 year ago
@QUIX4U then stands back - enjoying roast mutton on the spit ... as I enjoy the songs of the wires .. belting OUT from maybe 20 - maybe fifty.. entirely DIFFERENT channels .. (from my old almost pre-historic OLD National transistor STEREO FM radio...?
And you.. ?
You are the MUTTON .. that I am eating.
QUIX4U 1 year ago
Ooh lookie here.... that's a spare cable over there.!
I must go and see - If it CAN be installed somewhere...?
Ok - Bye Bye 4now ...../`````
QUIX4U 1 year ago
@commadorebeef Of course.!
I always APPRECIATE the chances to hysterically LAUGH
(few & far between- although often with & AT you)
Long & hard at your childish methods- to try extracting "any" information out of me- as to HOW these could possibly WORK
As therein lies the problem to your quest
Just because YOU think it MUST be complicated
Does "not" mean- THAT IT MUST BE.!
Often - the more advanced one "gets"
The SIMPLER things actually "become"
Just LIKE my deplexer decoders ;-)
QUIX4U 1 year ago
Unlike MANY whom constantly comment upon analogue" audio theories & OTHER proven facts
QUIX4U actually knows that any two 1Kg BLOCKS of IRON
Can have EXTREMELY "opposite" electrical properties
1 is "like" our average @commadorebeef
Just a huge BIG THICK BLOCK.
Dropped carelessly across 330,000 Volt AC "hi_tension" switchyard BUSBARS
Will instantly vapourise itself along with 1/2 the switchyard
Another BLOCK- extruded to hundreds of Kms as fine wire
COILED- will BLOCK that same AC-voltage
QUIX4U 1 year ago
QUIX4U 1 year ago
@commadorebeef ? so - HOW does that - correlate to YOUR OWN "mono" cellphjone's RAMPANT cancellation problems...?
As each and EVERY frequency - is inhereantly differently 'cycled" - whether JUST played via one speaker - or from thousands separately... (but more so - when just ONE speaker struggles with them all)
Yes.. sadly YOU forget that wee minor hiccup eh? ever SEE a graghics pictorial - if the interaction & addition . dissention - between different frequencies
(each & every single cycle)
QUIX4U 1 year ago
@commadorebeef ?
QUIX4U 1 year ago
@commadorebeef ?
QUIX4U 1 year ago
@commadorebeef Then because U STILL forget about ALL of the different "shadow" harmonics- which add their OWN interactively "working" shadow cycles- to & fro into Ur MONO mixture with even more & more as a cacophony of frequencies transends your SINGLE cellphone speaker's capability ? & It's not surprising that U only get a dead pan "scream" of one apparent tone- from Ur cellphone? Me- My 2 eyes see multitudes of colours- in Double rainbows- Or on RGB TV screens (the same as my 2 ears SEE sound)
QUIX4U 1 year ago
@commadorebeef The simplest way- to observe this phenomenum- AND- to prove or refute my hypothesis (as to WHAT sound does & doesn't do- AT ALL TIMES- irrespective of whether NATURALLY OCCURING- or squeezed together in compacted two ch stereo signal sources)
Just wander around a Poutlry Farm
YOU WILL be instantly able to "both" HEAR & Direction "location" PINPOINT that one scream- as the cat kills a hen- away across on a distant paddock (even WITH ALL the millions of hens- around your feet)
QUIX4U 1 year ago

@commadorebeef Thus when YOU now search for?
analogue multi ch surround sound deplexer decoder NZ
You will actually GET to the ONLY PLACE - in this entire world ...
Where these have always been & ARE STILL BEING MADE
... (& therefore - they do exist ) ...
Right_Here - "in" - ((( Godzown ))) ... New Zealand
QUIX4U 1 year ago
@commadorebeef Unfortunately .. AS YOU CANNOT CORRECTLY SPELL THE QUEENS ENGLISH...
You have incorrectly "abused" an Americanism - which is .. in itself .. a registered variant TRADEMARK .. (and thus will never be the way - I use that word)
re:-
Analog Devices® and SoundMax® are registered trademarks of Analog Devices
QUIX4U 1 year ago
@commadorebeef I strongly suggest...
(now that YOU are armed with the correct WAY to spell the nescessary words.. AND in a specific COUNTRY OF ORIGIN ... instead of just "anywhere")
That - you - and anyone ELSE whom wants to do the same...
LOOK in the correct "place"
Use the correct WORDS, the correct SPELLING
(and thus... use this term for your "search")

@commadorebeef stereo / JUST ? 2chs... HELLO _! MONO means ONE
MORE THAN ONE (and sadly - YOU only know that - to mean JUST TWO)
QUIX4U 1 year ago
@commadorebeef OMG ...! No wonder YOU couldn't find the unit... YOU cannot spell correctly.. (the original ENGLISH version - & not the bastardised americanism)
The word is "ANALOGUE" (and that UE is very important if you WANT to google correctly)..
Also ... the term is "DEPLEXER DECODER" ... (not just "decoder" which is far to vague)
OH . plus I only MAKE THESE - for specific clienteille - as and when needed ..
(thus) Neither will YOU find these as an item of mass manufacture world wide.?
QUIX4U 1 year ago
& So @commadorebeef ...!
Never ever try to tell me..
THAT SOMETHING - does not exist ..
Because i will turn over heaven & earth .. spending YEARS if I have to... to PROVE you wrong (& I will)
QUIX4U 1 year ago
@commadorebeef ?

QUIX4U 1 year ago

QUIX4U 1 year ago
p.s- The reason as to why I "used" an example (of a roof unsupported by a VIRTUAL RECREATION) is quite simple actually (just like @commadorebeef ) It's because @commadorebeef has proven many times that he has absolutely no idea as to the importance or relevance of my using a VIRTUAL PICTURE for everyone else to thus LOL at "virtual" DIGITAL SURROUND recreations of those whom CLAIM that DIGITAL is superior in sound quality to the original analogue sinosidual waveform from which DIGITAL is sampled

Right sweet .. I'v done deleted all my responses to those directed directly at me - as spam .. by the windup artist of @commadorebeef ... and thus .. can safely say .. I at least have realised his sheer cussedness for spam .. and have removed mine .. as they although genuinely answering .. could in themselves also be seen in said spam 'light" .. thus - they're now ALL removed .. except for this one (at least I think ..I got them all?)

ok i have 2 12" kenwood KFC-W3012 subs and a kenwood KAC-9104D 1800watt monoblock i was wondering what the advantages of wiring them bridged instead of just pluging them in to the amp from the 2 sets of teminals in the back of my box are. does it just synchronize them when the subs bump?
remi009340 1 year ago
@remi009340 there's not really any advantage either way, the only way to make sure the subs are synchronized is making sure you wire the polarity correctly. The reason they do that is so you can have different wiring configurations at the amplifier to get the correct amount of impedance without having to take the subs out of the box and rewire them inside
